We have to buy another one the face goes smooth. When the steel shaft comes out from the bottom you have to buy another one. You stupid? Plus good luck with doing over head work or work in general with that steel caveman club.
You mentioned that it has a lifetime warranty. You should go over and read the warranty because it’s only one year. They also mentioned that if you use to strike anything hardened including nails or bolts, it will not be covered. I really like it and especially with the new 14” size, but I’m still undecided between this and the Martinez M4.
I had a TB 2 with a ruined rubber handle. I returned it to Stiletto and they shipped me a new hammer. It was used for hard construction. Claws were chipped etc….not a problem with it being a few years old.
I'm sharing the timestamp of how i removed it in the video. It was tricky. Here's the link... ua-cam.com/video/CohVMrunJJk/v-deo.htmlsi=tAOsvOY0j99DmWiX&t=467 Did you find that helpful?
🔨 When doing rough framing, a milled face hammer can easily drive nails that are not perpendicular to the hammer face - without slipping. (In other words, to prevent slipping, the milled hammer face groves "catch" the nail head edges - specifically when striking a nail at an angle that is significantly more or less than 90 degrees.)
I like the hammer but I’m not sure if is it takes 2 inch nails or not cuz I’ve tb2 15 oz the old version and I really enjoy it but it’s been 10 years and the hammer claw starts to shrink and that’s why I wanna buy new one but hopefully it can takes 2 inch nails
Same problem I’ve tb2 and it’s the best design ever it can take 2 inches and 3 super easy the tb3 is very bad and weak design hopefully the new one can fix that
Mark great info on this hammer. I am going a little off your subject today. But I wanted to ask you what compressor you recommend or like for yourself?
Thanks! I've been very happy with the Milwaukee M18 Compressor. I've also just started testing out the Ridgid Pancake Compressor too. It's a little louder, but work great at only $99.
@@MarkThomasBuilder Hey Mark the other day I asked you about which compressor you liked, well I went ahead and purchased a ridgid 6 gallon pancake compressor. Which you said you were testing. My question to you is does the regulator valve to dial in your preferred psi for your tool that you are going to be using. Is it supposed to bleed air when you back the valve off of say from 100psi to 50psi?or did I get a faulty compressor?
@@redkey6538 Good question! I also own an Emglo and Milwaukee compressor and they all make that hissing sound, which bleeds the air out when you turn it down. Sounds like your compressor is normal.
I like the Martinez its the same weight and a heavier swing and it was the original stiletto 2.0 and the interchangeable head is epic go from a 2lb sledge or a finish head changes pretty quick with a 12point 3/8 box end no drill needed haha
Hola amigo, hace tres semanas compré el nuevo stiletto TB15 pero he notado que al momento de utilizarlo se siente una vibración, otro amigo recientemente también compró el mismo martillo y le sucede lo mismo. A ti no te pasó?
Yo tengo uno que sienta que vibra es para que no te canses el brazo utiliza un martillo normal y golpea una vez cada uno y piensa cuál es el que te molesta el brazo
Wood handles are best for dampening vibration, a 14-16 oz titanium hammer dose not hit has hard as a 20-24 oz steel hammer, the only circumstance it may (and i stress MAY) is if the titianium hammer has a very long handle and you swung it from the very bottom to bring the speed up. Overpriced, over engineered hammers solving a problem that dose not exist, going from tools to boys toys. Estwing 20-24 oz smooth face will cover all basis from finish work to framing. I'd only consider a titanium hammer if it was just the head that can be mounted on a wooden handle and was atleast in the weight range of 18-20 oz. What weighs more a tonne of feathers or a tonne of steel?
Yes, if you're swinging a hammer all day long, this is an investment in your elbow and shoulder. A major advantage over steel and it will last a lifetime.
@@alphad1395 M1 is a work of art, sir. My TB3 is a beaut too. This newfangled thing gives me the heeby-jeebies and I don't quite know why. Worst of both worlds I think.
@@maxnovakovics2568 I've never said that the M1 isn't good. I've heard many people say that the M1 has better craftsmanship compared to the Stiletto, but what I'd like to emphasize is that this FULLY REDESIGNED Stiletto is equally impressive. At the same time, I hope that M1 will come up with new products
The M1 is a big pile of dog shit and swings like dogshit as well. I blind folded each member of my crew and made them wear a light glove and no one could tell the difference between that piece of shit and a 30 dollar vaugh

The yellow grip is nice.
Yeah, it looks cool! Easy to find in a pile of tools as well.
You always do good reviews Mark
Thanks Darren, appreciate it! 🙌
Yellow for me easy to find
Yes, good point.
I snapped the claw on my tibone 3, but just bought this hammer with the curved handled we’ll see how it goes
The mini 14 look very cool
It's a great hammer!
the new handles create vibration compared to the tibone 2, they need to make a softer grip, thanks.
I'll have to look into that and see what I notice.
What did you notice?@@MarkThomasBuilder
Wish they never stopped making the TB2, that’s the last good hammer they made
I may check out the Redesign Stiletto mini 14oz but I use a Paslode CF325XP cordless nailer for all my framing.
The mini 14 is probably my favorite Stiletto hammer. Good choice!
Sorry buddy, but the estwing looks good the way it is, nothing needs to be replaced with estwing. The other hammers are cool to though

I'm not sure if they changed the warranty of if I read it wrong.
I haven't tried a Martinez hammer yet, but I hear they also make a good hammer.

Will a T40 bit work for replacing the head?
No you need a T45.
How do you remove the face I’ve struggled to remove it.

The new model with the replaceable grip released like 1 week after I bought my Stiletto. I was pissed xD
Wow, crazy! I've had that happen to me buying a 15ga nailer, where the next gen model was intruduced.
I'd go with the pink. Less chance someone is going to steal it.
🙌💯
Blue, Orange or Black. Question, is there an advantage of a milled faced compared to a smooth? Thanks Mark!
The milled face seems to hit the nail with less slipping, making it more efficient.
Mill face is for framing.
I assume using the flat face is preferred for finish nails, so that the surface is the siding doesn't get marked by the millig

This magnetic nail starter can use 2 inch nail?
This framing nailer holds 8d-16d nails, so 2.5" -3.5".
The smaller Trimbone hammer holds 2d-16d nails, so 1" -3.5".

Hello Mark, do you know how to fix the vibration in the new stiletto Tibone 15? To my friends happen the same thing with the new one
I haven't heard anything about a vibration issue or a solution.
Love the orange.
It's awesome! 🙌
Also what is the difference between the 15 oz and 22oz I love my 22 but never tried 15. Does it make a difference
The 15oz Tibone hammer is the largest titanium hammer they offer. It weighs 32.1oz overall.

Can some just answer if it takes the 2” nails? Yes or no??
I just went out and tried a 2" nail and the answer is no. A 2" nail only sticks out about a 1/4" (or less) past the face.
