Yep I remember this song I had to put up with every Saturday morning as my mom cleaned the house. She played this so loud I wake up and just scream downstairs and say mom plz turn it down but she never did I was a kid that loved to sleep in on Saturday . RIP mom love you and miss you . RIP to Tammy . I’m watching the showtime mini series about her & George Jones .
THis is a song my Mother would blast on the stereo every Saturday Morning while she cleaned. I guess it was part of her divorce playlist...brings make the smell of pine sol and mom :)
That catch in her voice was just how she sang and spoke, totally unaffected and natural, i’ve often wondered how she acquired it, maybe from the region she grew up in?. Don’t know, but I LOVE it.
I just watched the movie George and Tammy and can't stop singing their songs. What a life these magnificent people had. The actors who portrayed both of these great artists were magnificent at singing their songs!
I just heard this song for the first time today. I think it's a wonderful song! I love everything about it including the singer. I just don't want to include this into a playlist of mine because I don't want to be singing about divorce repetitively lol
She had what it took and some how knew it even if no one believes in her she just knew so hard to make her mother and first husband to think more to life than what they could her she was just brilliant and beautiful strong to so strong I what back then known as a man's world you do as I say music is a no no
wow, them lyrics proper came from the heart. you can feel her emotions when she sings it and her facial expression says it all. you can tell it was more than just a song for her and a way to express herself. i feel sad that she died when i was only 8 years old.
Love it!!! This was used in a learning center by one of my ELED majors for a learning center years ago. Her 1st graders ended up being able to spell DIVORCE perfectly.
Marcus Kane Sorry but it depends on the song & artist. For I love that old town road (circa 2019) while I don’t go for Tailor Swifts anything from any year.
SHE WAS THE BEST. LOVED HER. SHE COULD HAVE BEEN EVEN BIGGER IF NOT FOR HER HEALTH AND HOW HER LAST HUSBAND TREATED HER WAS SO SAD. WORKED HER INTO THE GROUND AND WHEN THEIR WAS NOTHING LEFT! RICHEY AND HIS GIRLFRIEND TOOK THE MONEY AND RAN. MANY THINK HE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH HER DEATH.
The Greatest Country Voice Ever...I Absolutely Love Her.
I like the way her voice mimics the guitar .

Kerri is not a dude!
My mom did the same thing every Saturday morning when she cleaned the house.

I like Tammy Wynettes music better than modern music
There aren't many performances that tear at the heart the way this one does.
WOW, somehow her voice has a tear drop formed within it, fantastic!
This is one of Tammy's first network TV appearances----
In less then a month Tammy recorded 'Stand By Your Man'
History in 1968!

The real deal. When country was country. It is so so so missed.

I’m here because of the mini series, and I loved the music! This was one of my favorites. I love the honesty and “realness” of her music.

This song is better than these songs that are being sang these days, Agree?
it depends on the song and the artist. there are some good singers today. you just need to look for them
we had a lot more creativity back in those days.
Marcus Kane Sorry but it depends on the song & artist. For I love that old town road (circa 2019) while I don’t go for Tailor Swifts anything from any year.
Marcus Kane but to be fair, I smile when I play Lynn Anderson ‘s rose garden
Most definitely. The songs today are garbage compared to this. They don’t have the soul or heart like the songs did back then.
