Just an FYI, you can use red diesel in that. Red diesel is sold without the highway taxes on regular diesel fuel, it's red because they add red dye to identify it so no one can put it in vehicle fuel tanks without it staining the rest of the fuel in the tank making it easy to verify by DOT by just dipping into the tank. If they find red dye in a vehicle tank the fine is pretty stiff. You can get it at most truck stops because it is used in reefer units. It's also used in farm equipment and any off road diesel vehicle.

Love it, so good to watch straight clever handy man type set ups like this. Human nature forces some critics to always say things about those making their own builds and ideas but you did well and great watching. About to do the same with a chilly bin for my roof tent here in New Zealand. 👍

Hole saw and plastic - run your drill in reverse, cuts much less chunks and scribes itself a start point without the biting jump

Is that a condensation trap for the diesel? Before the pump?

Actually those gaskets that you " didnt need" were made out of silicone and the reason its not melting is because of those gaskets. So its a good idea you used them by "accident" but if you choose to build another unit using that make sure you use them again. Those are prevent the plastic from melting from that exhaust

Are those 5in brackets? I like the idea of heavy duty support instead of a bend in sheet metal. 🤙

So what exactly should people do if they don’t know what a mass air flow sensor is? You “accidentally” cut that out. 😂

That 1" of dead space in the fuel tank could catch sediment and any stray water, so atleast there is some benefit.

Every UA-cam video I went and watched. Everyone copies everyone else. You wasted a lot of real estate.
I made one with Ridgid medium size box and other with Apache 4800 case.
The ridgid box has the heater, 20ah LFP battery, solar controller, voltage monitor, AC to DC charger, USB, 12v socket, and cooling fan. I also added a quick disconnect fuel tank.
In the 4800 case, I placed the heater, 50ah LFP battery, voltage monitor, 12v socket, and AC to DC charger.
I exited the case with exhaust and the intake without the use of the pipes.
No need for the cooling fan. I just added two 3" vents on opposite sides.
I also added a quick disconnect fuel tank.

      Around $260 for everything.

Why don't you just buy an all-in-one kit? These setups have everything you just built plus the fuel tank. About $100 plus tax etc. They even come with a handle.

I already had the diesel heater. I though about just buying the all in one kind.
