    The gameplay was recorded in 1080p, I uploaded the video in 4K because UA-cam compression originally destroyed the quality (So basically, don't use this video as a graphics comparison). I've also heard that FF16 on Pro runs worse in later areas of the game (I assume closer to the 45-50fps range, still better than the base console though), which isn't shown in this video as most of the clips are from early areas.
    I'd recommend this video if you want to see a more in depth look at the FPS of the open world :) - ua-cam.com/video/SSJgDifrchQ/v-deo.html&t

      Hi
      What software do you use for measuring fps??

      @@asleshplb4116 Hi! I use TRDrop! I record lossless (or the closest to it) using a capture card then put it into the software. :)

    You’re right! This far in and people still can’t wrap their head around the fact you can not capture the Pro… the magic happens on screen not passing thru a device don’t care how “lossless” it is or whatever you want to call it. VRR and 120hz is mandatory for you to see what it does. So the only way to sort of show it is 4k/60+ video offscreen. Cerny told DF to their face their measurement tools and numbers are irrelevant. But whatever gets people clicks and makes the miserable feel good about themselves. Getting a $2500 dollar PC outcome on the users end with no tinkering and being half way through a mission or match by the time a PC boots up is glorious. Not to mention the $100-150 dollar cheaper light bill. Quality mode on FF16 looks like 4k and feels and looks like 60fps with no patch.

    I was replaying it again on my Pro and noticed it ran a hell of alot better than when I finished it on the PS5 base system

    A big improvement really since the base ps5 often dips below 40 and gets into chug territory. Never really becomes unplayable but was unpleasant to say the least especially for an action focused game. You still have to deal with the crazy low resolution and dialed back graphics though so still just a subpar way to experience the game. Quality mode is better but locked at 30 FPS so you have a game that could greatly benefit from a pro patch where you could get the benefits of both modes combined into if they tapped into PSSR. That said we may never get a pro patch because it seems like Square is done with this game and not willing to dedicate more resources. At least there's the PC version if you have good enough hardware you can easily out do this I think.

    Do you think the graphics look better on PRO or it was just a boost on FPS?

    • @GRTW.GamesRule
      @GRTW.GamesRule  6 днів тому +4

      Currently, FF16 sadly doesn't have an actual Pro patch so the graphics are the same. The FPS boost is just from the extra power of the Pro. Hopefully the game gets an update! :)

      @GRTW.GamesRule ty for awnsering. Btw should i assume quality option also looks the same? Maybe the dynamic res makes the graphic better

      @thiagoheringer101 Honestly I'm not sure considering I can't measure resolution counts currently. I couldn't notice a difference switching between them personally. I'd recommend this great resource for resolution counts for PS5 Pro games - www.resetera.com/threads/all-games-with-ps5-pro-enhancements.1026072/
      Update: After watching the digital foundry video, yes the resolution does improve slightly :).

    I just played thru the ending again and it definitely seems like pssr is doing something on its own. Objects in the distance don’t seem as fuzzy and everything seems to be a bit sharper but maybe it’s just me lol.

    Thanks for this! If I knew the PS5 Pro was going to be a thing, I would have waited to play this game. Good game, but the gameplay didn't ramp up for me like Try from Mylifeingaming told me it would during a live stream...

    this is just pathetic, 30fps on ps5 is bad, but on ps5 pro. Just a bad game
