CW doesn't pull in a massive viewership, at least insofar as their super hero stuff is concerned. Even Supernatural's highest episode (it's first episode for season 15) was merely 1.255 million viewers, though its lowest was also still close to a million (.976).

Is there worst off show? You really think that THIS show deserves to get canceled adverse to, what? ANY other show they have right now? CW clearly doesn't draw in that big a crowd, regardless. Batwoman honestly wasn't doing that bad, and if anything its average viewership was above average, even accounting for the massive drop of viewers from first episode to last.
I mean, I couldn't give two fucks if this show was cancelled or not, I stopped watching DC hero shows a couple years ago, but if you're going to lambast something and claim it should get cancelled for its numbers, at least take a little time and research the context of the thing you're actually talking about. Maybe these numbers are ESPECIALLY bad because it's a first season, maybe there are multiple ways to look at the numbers that I'm not taking into account as well, and if so, then inform me, but just coming from my perspective, looking at these numbers, nothing about Batwoman's viewership seems all that dumpable to a CW perspective. Even Dynasty was renewed, and those numbers seem abysmal.

Why are Superman & Batman so young in the Arrowverse? They were both shown in flashback to be full adults when Supergirl and Batwoman were kids, so why in present time are shown to be roughly the same age as eachother?
Superman ages slowly so theres that. Batman? No clue. Especially since in the Crisis crossover they used Kevin Conroy and still showed that a Kate & Beth Kane existed in his world that were doppledangers for the ones in this world.

The actor playing Bruce is in his 40s, so I'm not sure I understand that line of your question. As for Superman, I only have the word of Frank Miller that Superman is and will always be 30. I'm sure I'm taking your question too seriously, but I figured I could try to answer it.

You'd quit your job, too, if every time you came home and turned on your computer the public was making fun of your script, your body type, your dialogue, your fight scenes, your sexual preference. The public didn't dislike this show. They despised it. It's okay if you're working behind the camera on a film set, but when you're the face of a franchise, it can be an unforgiving racket. This show reminds me of when I worked on the live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show. Every day when I stood on set I felt embarrassed for the lead actors.

yes but that was a good show, and the guy died, and people actually liked that show also. That being said I could imagine them killing off Katie played by a stunt double at the start of season 2 and a reformed Alice/beth goes on to be the new Batwoman. It's so horrible it could happen.

The funny thing is in the comics Jacob trains Kate and acts as her Alfred. He fully supports her Batwoman life. You have no idea how right you are by saying the writers contrived the relationship
Two other points I haven't seen mentioned yet.
First, Mary is such a brain-trust that when Luke comes in with the powdered Kryptonite she immediately blows it off the table, thereby irradiating Bruce's office. So if any Kryptonians end up showing up in that office later, it should really suck to be them.
Second, it's hilarious to note that the one thing that Lesbian Rich White Woman gets demolished by, the thing she has to fear, isn't truck collisions or super-guns or master criminals... it's an Angry Black Man.
Also, Stargirl (while I did spend most of the first episode yelling at the screen) is so much better than the CW shows it actually felt like a *good* show. So courage on that score, friend. :)

Well, you could have it be like Smallville where it gives people all sorts of random powers, while also serving as a potential energy source and poison for Kryptonians... so that's stretching it.

If Kryptonite can just be smashed, how can it penetrate the batsuit?
The idea is obviously that a material from the same planet as Superman is as indestructible as he is, so you can make armor piercing ammunition with it; but it can get smashed.
Some say Luke is supposed to become Batwing. But its not worth having that hero on this awful show.
Well that is who his character is in the comics also a thing that is easily overlooked or missed is that Azrael is somewhere in this show as in the page that Alice was looking at said Talia al Ghul gave Batman The Suit of Sorrows who gave it to Azrael.

They actually did build up to Mouse wanting out of this lifestyle. (Not a ton of build up but still something before this episode) They has him telling Alice before that he wanted to stay in Arkham because it was finally a normal life, then in another scene he was upset that Alice was forcing them to leave there. He had a taste of not being tortured or hunted, and it felt good.

Ruby Rose leaving the show won't save it from poor writing, just make it a little less unbearable
The funny thing is that if you pause episode 19 when Alice reads the journal, it says that it's the suit of sorrows. ITS LITERALLY MAGIC. It says it's supposed to drive the wearer insane and make them go on a killing spree. I can only assume in season 2 the writers will admit the character made mistakes, then blame everything on the suit and pretend like nothing happened the next episode.
The left side went numb for a few minutes, that was a stroke, bruh!
So the big bad guy for the finale is a human who just had too much football on his brains? Yikes.
Technically, Luke Wilson on #DCStargirl takes away the female empowerment message and makes it a coming-of-age story. I'm looking forward to your shows on Stargirl.

@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp To be fair "Arrow" managed to stay away from the agenda-drive plots far more often than the rest of this universe (not completely mind you, but it provided less bias than all the other shows of Arrowverse put together ^^') and while it was a kinda of "hit/miss" ride, it started out as a good show and managed to not suck entirely up until the end...

Here’s a mindblower: Titan BROKE A FEW OF KATE’S RIBS. The Batsuit can tank a bomb, deflect infinite gunfire, is on able to be pierced by miracles of science, and has been shown to protect Kate from a truck smashing through a building to hit her. But sure Roid Rage over here can damage her while wearing it.

Kate was hit by a truck while NOT wearing the batsuit and wasn't injured at all, but a roided up football player roughs her while she's wearing the batsuit (which is so impact resistant, the person wearing it can survive getting blasted through a brick wall, falling several stories and crashing on concrete) and suddenly she has cracked ribs.
Consistency is a lost art.
Thorias Unlimited consistency in one episode is high as a kite. In one episode big dude breaks ribs and dislocated a shoulder, but also shrugs off dozens of close range mega bullets. So is the suit made of Kryptonian flesh with this whole weak to Kryptonite nonsense? Wouldn’t be the first worn skin on the show. 😂
When they replace Ruby it will still suck! Writing sucks, message sucks, acting is sub par! No worries tho cause the CW promised they will fill the role with another LGBTQ actor. As an Alphabet people I say Meh🤷🏼♀️

The line from the first episode turned me off. "it will be perfect, once it fits a woman". Have you ever seen two women standing side by side? There is a reason why sizes exist. "it will be perfect when it fits me" would be fine
Ruby Rose quitting the show might be a real opportunity here.
The 2nd season could just focus on Alice, and if they fire all the writers and everyone who was at all involved in the 1st season save the actors who need to be present to continue their roles, it might be an alright watch.

All the hype over Ruby Rose quitting the show and not one person criticizing Batwoman (so far as I know) seems to think it's because even she was fed up with the shit writing and the production crew actually expecting her to spin gold from pig shit because she knows her acting skills are wanting and therefore not up to making the show all it could be.
