My boy's birthday is in exactly a month. Can we get the big 20k subs before then? :) Hope you enjoy the video!
Edit: ~ 27:30 & 28:25 I repeat myself, my mistake.
Happy birthday yo your son from Australia. Subbed, your content is excellent. Good luck with your channel!
And you also do things differently... Very confusing for me following along to the last dot :p
Happy Birthday to your son!
Thank you for not just chunking out everything with blueprints. This may be more of a hassle for you to set up, but it's so much easier to follow. Great episode. =)
Found your starter guide when looking for game footage a week ago. I then went ahead and bought the game and been following your playthrough up until last episode when I was forced to use my own brain haha. Felt overwhelmed at first but now I'm glad I had to figure out stuff on my own and find my own build style. Gotta say though, I couldn't find any starter guide like yours so I'll gladly watch along even though I am now further in the game myself.
Yea it's good to veer off and do things your way. Glad I was able to help you get started :)
@@spectrumdad_ Definetly. And even this episode gave me some new ideas. I really like the idea of a factory with more than just 2 or 3 levels and how you can showcase the material and produced items that way.
I really love when you stay in the overhead view when placing things. It really helps to where you are and what floor/tile you are placing them on. Thanks so much for the video. I have been waiting for what seems like forever. Great work as always. Thank you thank you!
Waited months for this video.
It looks like it's time to blow the dust off my satisfactory and give it another shot.
thank you so much for this series, i just started playing along so it's cool to see it's updating still. has been so helpful in getting me into the game more.
i'm finding this episode quite hard to follow as the layout seems to be very important but there's not a lot of perspective given for the direction and placement of pieces, and there's parts where you skip over showing what you're doing even as you're saying them. it's gonna take me a little longer to catch up through this video but i'll get there ^^;
Awesome series, can't wait for the next episode
So I started following your beginner guide a couple days ago when i decided to give this game a try. They are really good and must take a lot of time, I really appreciate the work! Hope you'll get to 20k soon :)
Been waiting for this. Great work, and happy future b-day for your son!
Absolutely love the series, keep it up!
Amazing episode!! Waiting for the next one!
Hi and thanks for these amazing tuts, it has really helped me a lot and keep em coming, oh and congrats on 20k👍
Hey, i love this video. It's like a recap of your beginners' guides. And how to bring it all together
Love ur vids!! Started playing satisfactory because of you!!
GJ. Dont forget about us this time plz! (We love this series)
Yuhhh been waiting for this!!
Huge fan of your Satisfactory content! It’s the only game I’ve had time for lately 😅
Dude its been a minute since your last episode! Glad to see you back
Dammit now i have to stay up later and watch this
Factories don't sleep, neither do I!
Your videos are very informative.
love your vids man! keep em up brother, i respect the grind especially with having a kiddo
Well that escalated quickly. thank you for the guide!
please make more episodes, i'm following along your playthrough :)
It's been so long since you last UBG i thought you were through with the Series. I really hope you continue this series all the way to tier 8 i have many hours in this game but i only get to tier 7 before it gets overwhelming for me i would like to continue this build following this series, you do such great job showing the step by step in this playthrough.
Great Job !!!
Yep! Working on the next one.
@@spectrumdad_ 🤎
hey mate great beginner series so far, ive been following along since i started playing satisfactory about a week ago. when will the next episode come out?
Awesome! Thanks, boss!
Wow. This will help me a lot
Finally hope the next episode comes in a month ❤
It’ll definitely be much quicker lol 😂
@@spectrumdad_ ok ty 😬 😅
Finally!!! You are insane
Hey SpectrumDad, love these instructional videos. You do them in a way that is very easy to understand and follow. It is very much appreciated. I was lucky to find your UBG videos right after I bought the game.
Quick question, though. I think you repeated one process. Starting at 27:31 you start the process of adding the merge manifold to the output of the screws and rods constructors. Then at 28:23, you show what the setup looks like.
I got confused at 28:27 when it seems, to me anyway, that you are showing the same process with one slight difference. The spare screws constructor is in the centre instead of to the far end.
Am I missing something?
Yep, I forgot to cut that part out :S my bad.
@@spectrumdad_ No worries, I just thought I was going crazy there for a bit, or maybe having a déjà vue moment! 😆
Ughh, starter factories suck so hard. ;-) The lack of resources, materials, recipes, and alts is always painful. But you've made a pretty quick, simple, and clean starter factory build. The Rocky Desert is one of the most abundant areas in game, which makes startup easier. The slow yields are hard to live with when you know you need so many hundreds or maybe thousands to unlock progress and build the next big factory. Liked the color coded bird's eye view recap after each section. Long video, but I watched at 2x. Pretty good tutorial. I always struggle at the start.
Personally, i start in the northern forest because of the 6 pure iron and the pure copper
Hi Dad congrats on your 20k subs........hope you and your family are well...........I just started a new game and I wanted to see how long it would take me to get to Coal Power and Basic Steel production.....well it took me 3 hours and 22 mins
Bro, I was following you with this series as a new player, liked what you was doing. And it's taken you 4 months to carry on the series. Are you for real,
Sorry, I had to RMA my gpu after the holidays and I just received it back last week. :(
Smh, let him cook
Excellent build and video series! Your series is what helped me get started and same with most people following, I ended up moving ahead on my own and found a couple other playthroughs to take inspiration from.
My only question is, how did you determine your ratios? Why are you setting up three wire constructors into two cable constructors with one underclocked? Why did you opt for the rotor and reinforced iron plates set up producing 10 each?
That’s one thing I’m still struggling, determining how much I SHOUOD be producing. So far I’m not having any trouble figuring out the ratios when building my “factories” to obtain the default output for those resources but still not sure how to determine how much I NEED which seems to be implied through your builds.
Partially experience, partially what’s available. So for instance, those beginner items you need more in order to build your basic things like machines, belts, poles, etc… so each part of my factory worked exactly for 1 120 belt of whatever it is. So 10 rotors takes in 120 iron ore. Same with 10 reinforced iron plates. Later on I’ll typically start thinking I’ll do 10 per minute, see how much ore that requires and adjust from there depending on what’s nearby.
@@spectrumdad_ ok that makes a bit more sense. Thanks for the quick reply too!
Is this a continuation of the large coal setup you did? I built along with you on it and you stopped. I was at a loss where to go from there and have been waiting for the next video for awhile now.
Yep this is the continuation of that video
Lets Goooooo!!
Hey love your vids man but can i ask that you would please inform of any alt recipe's at the start of the vid so one doesn't fallow along and get to that point and come to a complete halt and on other thing is its kinda hard sometimes to fallow where you are placing things when u have a cut right before you place the item but as i said love your vids and have been fallowing along as best i can keep up the great work man
Yea I should have mentioned it. But it was a continuation of the series where I’ve been using the cast screws before so I didn’t think of including it. Thanks for the feedback!
the rotor constructors are taking 112.5 iron ingot/min instead of 120 causing stuttering
5*12.5 = 62.5
3*15 = 45
All that plus the 5 at the end for the underclocked rods is 112.5 and not the 120 the smelters are making
I advise you to put the mob to fly and do everything in the air, there is more perspective since there comes a time when you go too fast and it is impossible to follow the process.
Hi Dad just a heads up or I might be wrong but with the cast screws we put a splitter between 2nd and 3rd which is then being split to other merger which then means that line is now 140 screws a min but only needas 120 and 1 assembler is 20 short? So what i did was remove the splitter between 2nd and 3rd and put the splitter in front of second which has 80 screwa feeding it ,then split that 80 to another splitter in front of the 3rd 1 and that 1 into the 3rd 1 giving it a total of 120 screws the other 20 merged back with the 40 making 60 for other assembler.........btw I am so happy with the video you kept me up till gone 5am lol
You’re right. It wasn’t working as I thought it would. It’s prioritizing the main belt vs the constructor. It’s ok though, once we get mk3 belts this will be changed in an episode or two. In the interim, that second constructor fills up, so we can take those screws and periodically put them in the assembler if we really cared to do that.
@@spectrumdad_ when will the part be out please Dad?
but wouldnt the splitters work 1:2:4:8 if you know what i mean?
I didn't know you can actually type in the rate per minute variable. So many time tried moving the slider 1 mm then going to for...
I know this is rather late, but about the concrete setup, isn't it missing 60 limestone per second? only 1 mk.2 belt going in whilst it needs 4x 45 per min to produce the 60 concrete per min. Idk if I missed something here but I have managed to solve it in some way myself (which I am semi proud of as it looks kinda decent as well lol)
Keep watching :)
@@spectrumdad_ I must have been blind 🙈
Don't you have to change up everything once you get MK2 miners?
No, I usually don't touch this once I'm done with it. I setup new factories for future items. These items being produced in this factory is just sending items to a storage bin for me to use personally and not to feed another production.
You say the concrete layout is at 100% clock speed, but you built 4 constructors with 120 concrete coming in. But 4 concrete constructors need 45*4=180 concrete. Even just three of them need 135 concrete, still more than the 120 we’re bringing in. Am I missing something?
Edit, you explain it at the end. Great video!
Keep going, I change modify that one later on in the video.
@@spectrumdad_Just saw that, must have missed it. Can’t wait for the next video, this one’s really good! Thanks a lot
When is Part 2 coming ?
Did I miss something or the concrete is gonna miss 60 limestone / minute to run at full cap ?
fixed with an extra mk1 line and a merger between the 2 splitters
Yes I fixed it at the end of the
When is a new video coming?
what if we dont have bloody cast screws????!!!!!
i can never get them from hard drives at all!!!!
Checkout my video on 5 perfect starter layouts. It’s the same layouts except I use the vanilla recipes.
@@spectrumdad_ thanks. Also another question, i dont know if im doing it wrong but the maths for the amount of iron ingos going into the modular frames level doesnt seem enough for maximum effiencey, aka 100% on all constructors and alike.
the iron plates takes 150 iron ingots total (5x30=150)
the cast screws takes 50 total (12.5x4=50)
and the iron rods take 60 total (15x4=60)
which all adds up to 260 iron ore required total...
this wont produce the 10 modular frames /min you specified (45:15)
am i wrong in my maths or is it supposed to be like this?
@@razerblade4981 there is some underclocking being done on some machines in there. It takes 240 total
@@spectrumdad_ ah i see it now thanks and thank you for the quick reply!
Please hand me this blueprint as shown at 16:38
Most excellent. Steel has been a hurdle for me, but maybe because I insist on getting all the raw resource to my single factory? 🤣
Lol perhaps :) I'm debating trying a mega factory at some point for fun.
@@spectrumdad_ It's all fun and games 'til someone gets 1 FPS playing the save. ;-)
Is your save for this up on your Patreon?
Yep it is.
Do any dedicated subs know why he uploads at such an irregular cadence?
I absolutely love this series but the months between videos make it hard to stay interested. At this pace, we’ll be lucky to get to phase 3 by 1.0 launch.
Not angry, just curious if anyone knows why this is
u upload the same video ""7 EFFICIENT Steel Factory Layouts You NEED! | Satisfactory Update 7 (Beginner Guide)"" hah
