Those guys who think an R3 can't be a Superbike also think that adding a random racing brand sticker to the bike gives it +10HP! You guys seem very efficient in prep. No doubt you're ready to race! Best wishes on the track. Come home safe and caring some shiney metal! ✌️
What you're doing with this channel and the lower CC bikes is incredible. You're always going to have haters but know that there will always be people that appreciate what your doing and want to see more. Thank you so much for providing this content. I look forward to watching all future videos, especially ones with the R3!
This series is so cool! I love efficiency, and seeing how far a lighter cc bike can do when facing the bigger cc bikes is really something I have wondered for years! Nice seeing you all squeeze every last bit out of the platform, and the overcoming of challenges, the race footage, the technical stuff, the execution on parts. Really killer. Thanks guys!
@@TSTindustries Yes, this is a truly high end show, you guys really did outstanding. I would be arguing semantics in that most people market anything under 600cc as "beginner" whereas through the history of racing some of the best of it came on small displacement bikes. Then you have companies catering toward that by handicapping lower CC bikes so they don't outperform anything, and hence public opinion has swayed over the last few decades. Not even sure they are going to sell the Ninja 25R over here because of that issue. But I have noticed a lot of people love these R3s and wouldn't have anything else, like in our facbook group. Plenty of people enjoying them, so thanks so much for putting things out, and hopefully public opinion will sway slowly. Just don't give the rat bastards the opportunity to ruin the good you are doing! Always going to be hecklers, but they don't matter unless you let them! Affordable racing is underrated! Tons of people getting in on the sub 500 fun. Yammy noob is really helping shift the focus too.
@@colubrinedeucecreative Cheers buddy! Great to see like minded people out there. We love all sizes of bikes here. Our stable is full of bikes from 50cc to 1000 in many different trims. I am glad to go out there and put the screws to 600 or 1000cc riders at the track ....with a small bike. I think that all trends have a wavelength. Racing came from smaller displacements and I think we will see a broadening of small bike racing scene in the next decade.
They sure are. I often have to load/unload solo and like you said...lifesaver. I just didn't focus on the manufacturer name in the video since they allow us to sell them only in our shop and trackside, but not through our main web store.
Love this series guys so thank you for sharing it with us.Don't let the haters wind you up, as i'm pretty sure most of them couldn't ride out of sight on a dark night anyway.
hehehehe...the truth is that the haters love to keep writing so we just keep poking the bear and they make our videos that much more relevant through leaving many comments in a conversation. They don't wind us up but we like to wind them up.
I own an R3 and can’t wait to race the next track day because I know how much I can still squeeze out of the bike and from myself, and I’m talking about a stock bike that I commute to work everyday, it’s just so much fun (and cheaper than bigger bikes). And I know with a sportbike and superbike it’s already a whole different story (way more fun). But you guys are living the dream! Always trying to get that extra performance out of the bike in many ways. Great video quality and production. I wish to try on my bike many stuff you sell but you don’t ship to Brazil, for a reason I suppose. Great job! And I hope you smoked all other bikes in the track!
These videos have really changed my mind when it comes to different CC motorcycles and im really amazed of what the R3 can do with the extra extra love you guys have been giving it although I don't have the extra cash to put into the R3 im getting I think that im still gonna enjoy the ride no matter what.
You guys are awesome, forget the haters I look forward to each episode, thanks for seeing the trailer, and I am too going to build a super bike Z300 and modify my R3, the videos have given me great insight as to where to hook and crook power and thanks for sharing again, it is saving me money by you doing the experimenting first, keep up the good work
I love this series I don't know why people are complaining about it, I'd rather watch this over watching someone build a litre bike and racing that, it's been done so many times!
If people watch your earlier video you explained what superbike means and I thank you for that . I like your videos and it is showing us a lot of what goings into exactly what you guys do. I can't wait to see the racing footage and wish you guys the best ! also if I ever do start racing I plan to begin with a 300cc bike as I think with a less powerful bike i'd be able to improve in skills faster
Thank you. Depending on your weight you may actually benefit from a 2 stroke 125 or 250 first. Those machines teach you not to get off the gas and carry blazing corner speed. As your understanding grows, and you start moving on to bigger bikes, you will adapt that skill and be pretty untouchable.
Came thru tons of bike build blogs and thus far TST‘s done the best and by far the most informative. Hope you guys where somewhere near the Philippines lol. Would definitely bring my underbone straight up at you guys and have it beefed up. More power to you guys and keep em coming!
Thank you. You are right...some people just prefer to remain ignorant and that is sad. We do focus on the positive and all those viewers that actually enjoy our show. We just like to fire back at the haters sometimes just to let them know we don't care what they say.
Your doing a great job if grabbing the haters attention and time, just like the rest of us that love what you doing. Keep it up i'm keep watching an laughing at your haters they funny. I love this videos and your personality man!!!keep it up... ;-)Indeed there is a bunch of knuckles heads out there that dont know the meaning of "rule book"...hahahaha
Thanks Bart, Just giving out the knowledge because the average person doesn't know nothing about the rules or racing for that matter. One day I do hope we can meet on the track and rub some elbows and battle. Sorry for the late response racing is such a time consuming activity from the maintenance to actual travel to the track. Not to mention gym time lol. Keep up the good work. Your trailer is awesome!
Maybe we can spar when I take my west coast tour. I used to ride at Chuckwalla, Fontana, Willow Springs, and Buttonwillow. Maybe I will run into you somewhere over there.
TSTindustries That would be awesome ! I am running at Sears point and thunder hill. Plus few small tracks in the bay area. I am near Spear's enterprises .
Loved the trailer! can you post where can I buy one of those transport rigs? Also I love the series, keep doing them please!. One last thing, can you tell whats the cam lobe center you're using? XD
The trailer is a 1984 (yes...1984) Competition Trailers 24'. I don't even know if that company builds trailers anymore. The cabinets, electrical, and pneumatic systems were installed in the late 90's. This is a handmedown trailer setup from Dalcorp Racing. If you watched NHRA in the mid 2000's then you might recognize the name. The cam lobe center is the same as OEM. We have a slightly higher lift on the current cams, but no duration change. We will get to different lobe shapes later in the project.
I got you super bike have limitations as to power and mods such as cams forks calipers triples depending on your series in most cams and head work are even allowed.supersport means it's pretty much stock minus bolt ons that you can buy from any seller you can change fork internals but not fork tubes stuff like that.thats pretty much the just of it
Hey bart i have question i had 2017 R3 running with full R77 yoshimura system exhaust and after market k&n air filter and thingking installing dyno jet powercommander the thing is i dont know how to get a rigth map to my R3 can you give me some advice about the map. What the best map to download pls help me out
The best map you can get is one made specifically for your bike. I would strongly advise to take the bike to a reputable dyno facility and have them tune your bike based on dyno data. Any map you download will not be very accurate.
Nice trailer. I've seen some that are amazing, but I always question why the owners spent that much money on them. At the lot where we store our camper, some guy has one with a giant mural of the GT500 drag car he uses it for painted on it. On one hand it's awesome, but on the other, why? He doesn't operate a related business, at least that I know of, so it's not any sort of branding or marketing. Really looking forward to the race footage, good luck!
Gotta agree with you Bart! Where's the fun in making a big bike even better. The series has been awesome and I've never missed an episode. Here in India, R3s are a premium breed of motorcycles. I wish I could buy an R3 and make it a supersport like you guys did. Best thing: you inspire me to make my small 200cc motorcycle a formidable race machine. Thanks for the videos and may you win that race and slap some ninja ass!
Can't believe people are saying 'just buy a bigger bike'. I just traded my FZ07 for an R3 and even on the FZ I'd be passing up guys on these 'bigger bikes'. Can't wait to blow past some ZX10s on it.
We ride and race all sizes of bikes here. Telling us "just get a bigger bike" is silly because we have a stable of them. If you set up your suspension and ergonomics right, and just do the bare basics of freeing up power for the track, you will have a blast riding with the bigger bikes.
Yamaha 1WD-F2311-00-00 CASE, CHAIN? That piece of plastic chain cover is not going to protect anything if the chain breaks ... it is unnecessary weight.
We technically can cut just a portion of the chainguard off and space the rest to fit with our 52-58 tooth rear sprockets but that is a lot of work for a part that doesn't have much function.
those people who tell you to save money and get a bigger bike I call idiots that R3 will smoke any single one of them on the track and they will cry like babys when an R3 over takes there 1000cc bike around the corner
Bigger bikes aren't less fun, they are just different fun. I enjoy all sizes of bikes in a competition setting. All of them require slightly different skill set and understanding, but having experience in each carries over to others and makes you a better rider. I am a student of riding, and what better way to continue learning than by doing what I love.
