Norfolk & Western 611-1218 (Museum Tour), 08-14-2009

N&W 611 J-Class 4-8-4 + N&W 1218 A-Class 2-6-6-4 steam locomotives on display at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke, Virginia. Both steam locomotives were once part of the Norfolk Southern Steam Excursion Program (1982-1994). On February 22, 2013 VMT announced the "Fire Up 611!" project to restored N&W 611 to operating condition. N&W 1218 is slated to remain an exhibit for the time being.
