That was kinda Richards thing if you look into his history he really cared about his team both alpha and bravo Once he figures out there's zombies and etc he spends most of his time running around the mansion with just a knife or no weapon (in comic just to clarify what I'm referencing) he is trying to fix a radio which is like a suitcase size but can't get a moment because of zombies and finally he finds a quiet spot to work on radio and call for help.... It's in the attic and you know the rest
Enrico was the only member who went the furthest and survived the longest single-handedly and discovered Umbrella's plans. If Wesker hadn't intervened, Enrico would have survived.

The remake did so many character deaths justice. Joseph’s death in particular was a massive improvement.

So enrico should've survived with rebecca, if only he wasn't betrayed by wesker. Enrico and rebecca is the longest survivor starting from RE0
