I agree with Joe's placement of Jordan Battle. I also agree in his rookie year, Battle's PFF rating of 82.5 earned Battle a starting position. He was also picked in the 3rd round of the draft which makes his upside big for the Bengals if he's consistent. Does he need more development ... of course he does. Learning how to take better angles may be one. He's a rookie; however, his first year play points to the real possibility that, like other players who have achieved similar first year ratings, Battle's future potential is high ... if ... he's allowed to play and develop. That for me is the question: How much playing time will he get?
I hope Myles Murphy hits this season. I do believe he's a crazy, outside the box athlete; yet, his technique needs some serious development. When you're a college player athleticism can and will carry a player, but I'm highly skeptical it's enough in the NFL. The Bengals need Murphy to produce this season! During the off-season, I hope technique development was a focus. I further expect the coaching staff will further help Murphy to an array of additional skills.
Agree also with Joe's placement of DJ Turner. I believe Turner rated first amount rookie CBs and also had the lowest passer rating. Believe DJ could very well prove to be a valuable Bengal asset.
Burton is another real potential added value package. This player is crazy good! Glad to see Joe place Burton 12th on his list. I was wondering when someone was going to place Jermaine in the top15. I just believe this player was "the pick" of this year's draft!
Believe James rated Tee Higgins higher for his importance to the team this year, but without a doubt Tee adds value to the wide-out room. Joe rated Tee as 15th on his list of value to the team. Sorry, Jake, I can't remember your raking of Tee off-the-top-of-my-head. I believe having a guy who has delievered for your team is the meat and potatoes of success!
Regardless, this was a very interesting exercise. Found everyone had a real understandable approaches and rationale to their "value placement" order. This was great!

Did they bring Vonn back because they didn’t believe in jordan? Or was it because he was basically a free veteran since the panthers are paying him

@@KDthunder2009Yeah, I feel like they believe in Jordan but getting a veteran who was great in our system to mentor him and improve communication was a no-brainer, especially for the price which like you said was basically free.

I feel like they brought Von back to teach the younger guys about proper communication. Cuz the one thing I keep hearing being a problem in our young secondary is communication.

Completely agree about late rd picks. Free starters that use very little capital. Haven't had any success lately but that is changing. Nada 5th rd or later starter since Uzomah. Can't remember a 6th rd starter ever. Sure there is but knot this century. 7th rd we had Houshmanzadeh. Probably the best bang for your buck pick we have had. All long time ago. Can see that changing (maybe). Iosivas, Brown, and all 5 of our 5th rd or later picks in 24. Just struck out with the Punter. Can't win em all.

I still say that you guys are severely underselling Geno Stone. Like said, two years is a lifetime.

Even a pro bowl safety is not gonna be more important than your left tackle

Nope. Turnovers are still key, defense still wins championships. We lose Bates + Bell and all of a sudden turn into a bad defense.. that's not an accidental thing.

I think if it as how likely a player makes the Bengals to win a Lombardi in the next 5 yrs. Tee here for 1 yr is more important to that than many guys who'll be here the whole time

I feel like we have to take these with our Super Bowl window. If it doesn’t happen in 1-2 years, does this list matter?
