The gear selector is awesome, I never had a problem with it and used it for over 100,000 miles, it was rather shiny and when the sun hit it it blinded you so I covered mine up with a wood jaguar round emblem, looked great
I got the 2009 supercharged version with modifications making 600 hp in car. Only problems are dashboard peeling up and the damn tire pressure warning light is on. It's an awesome car even used if you can find one under 100k miles in good shape.
the touch sensitive glovebox deliberately ignores a finger if it's put over at an angle, so it won't accidentaly open when your're cleaning it. you have to put your finger over it at right angle
My 2010 XFs glove box at 138k still works perfectly. The motion sensing lights work perfect too, granted one has to clean them out as the dust and bugs make them hard to use
