    I have loved all these interviews this past year. Have both books [Fiber Fueled and Mastering Diabetes], and have enjoyed implementing all these excellent practices. Have lost 20 lbs. and improved both my blood sugar levels and my other numbers. Whole food plant based has been a saving grace for me, and your guidance has been perfect. Thank you!!

    I just found Dr B today and I have watched 3 videos already... he inspired me to get on a plant based eating plan again... I was vegetarian for 12 years and I had lots of energy... I ran marathons during that time... I added animal products because I was anemic but not sure of the cause...

    What is your web site? Enjoyed the interview with Dr B. Amazing the science we have yet to learn. First time I have heard short chain fatty acids! Want to get both books as I so interested. it is amazing what has been studied and researched since the only thing we knew about fiber when I was in school was soluble and insoluble. Thanks

    How about Glycation? The more sugars are floating around the more chance they can stick to proteins, which is called Glycation this speeds up aging and damage to the body as in kidney damage, cataracts, etc, how does one avoid the effects or diminish them?

    I’m pretty sure humans did not evolve needing a ‘vast’ diversity of plants. Simple diversity served our needs just fine. Animals in nature eat a very specific diet sometimes only a few foods, some only one variety. I think the focus of eating whole unprocessed plant foods, that you need to chew, is the key to gut health. Simple to understand.

    By the way, I had to take a Pinicilin for my tooth 🙄this always puts my system out of wack, so I do take a probiotic to help raise an army back in my gut.

    • @painisillegal
      @painisillegal 3 роки тому

      Feed the good bacteria. Penicillin didn't kill all bacteria, it just knocked out the heavy load so your system can overcome it. It also is a mold-type product and it imbalances the bacteria. I, in my personal experience, have used liquid black walnut EXTRACT strongly for 3 days, then two days of liquid Pau D Arco EXTRACT , then both together for 5 days.
      ALSO, do LIQUID chlorophyll. The best flavor is from Natures Sunshine because it has a peppermint flavor added. They also have the 2 extracts.
      Total small bottles I personally have used are black walnut for the 3 days 1-2 bottles; the 2 days Pau D Arco 1 bottle. Then a bottle of each Blk Walnut & Pau D Arco) to finish off slowly the rest of days.
      This is what I find works for me for amoxicillin as well.

    Does this mean intermentant fasting is a bad thing because we should eat more fiber more often?🤔 How often should we eat?

    • @dj-fe4ck
      @dj-fe4ck 4 роки тому

      I intermittent fast and still eat anywhere from 50 to 150 grams of fiber a day

    • @soli4838

      dj121 can u give us an example what you eat to consume 150 grams? Thk u!

    • @dj-fe4ck
      @dj-fe4ck 4 роки тому

      @@soli4838 I think most days, I end up eating around 50-100 grams of fiber a day. The only days when I probably eat more than 100 grams a day are the days when I eat a lot of beans and lentils, like around 3-3.5 cups dry weight or 9-10 cups cooked weight, or around 2200-2500 calories. With that many beans and legumes, it's possible to get betwesn 100-200 grams a day. I think split peas are higher than all the other legumes. 10 cups or 2300-2400 calories of cooked split peas give you around 210 grams of fiber. The same amount of all other legumes will give you between 110-160 grams of fiber.

      @Michael Carney You can win Olympic medals in weightlifting eating nothing but grains and veggies. Grains and veggies have enough proteins and enough fats (grains have omega6, veggies the omega3, both are needed). Any additional protein and fat is harmful. Carbohydrates are absolutely essential if you want real good health.

    • @imaginarynumber8520
      @imaginarynumber8520 4 роки тому

      @Michael Carney Given the quality of the arguments you've already provided, I think I've had enough. The inventor of the previous argument is Dr. Westman and he is overweight. I think that starches are important to keep people lean. Just look at the doctors recommending your diet, Dr Westman, Dr Phinney, Dr Lustig, Dr Eades. Do you spot a pattern in their waist circumferences? They're the best advocates of high carb diets.

      Go raw. Plant based helps but if you look at the CHANGES people experience, it is raw that does it. Best to add raw juices and smoothies to get more nutrients due to our farming practices and increased demand on stress levels in our society nowadays.
