The interview with Iron Mike is what sets this show from all the rest. It's not so much an interview, as it is just two people sharing an interpersonal moment, but in front of a live audience and with TV cameras.
Doesn't matter if it is a drop dead gorgeous actress or heavy weight boxing champion, Craig can instantly bond with someone and get them laughing, talking and feeling comfortable. Hands down the best late night show ever!
@@LmtdShady I don't think he's upset at Geoff though, he's about to engage him. The host is really just quick to change things and topics, I noticed that with his many interviews.
this what sets Craig apart from any interviewer. he knows how to behave with each person to make them comfortable, whether it's goofy cracking jokes and puns, flirty, sometimes just being a listener letting the guest continue with what they have to say, being genuine and sharing his own experiences - in short, he appeals to their humanity. doesn't happen a lot on tv.
I don't how many times Mike and Craig have met prior to this interview but they were like good friends that shared the good ol 80s together. What a great chat between two champs.
I’ve seen so many videos of Mike just brutally taking down opponent after opponent. Just brutal deadly power. He’s a killer. But throughout the conversation he was such a reserved polite witty humble guy. I was so impressed to see that he’s at peace with him self. But at 35:01 boy he scared the shit outta me.
I haven't even watched this vid yet except cracking up through the whole opening monologue - WHERE THE HELL IS CRAIG FERGUSON THESE DAYS?? Just give the man his show and clear everyone else out of the way!!! The guy is King.
He said the writers did talk about what the news of the day is that was au Courant to talk about, but a lot of the monologue was improvised. He did that after one of the writers stole a joke from another comedian/show and Craig had to apologize.
Funny seeing him make fun of the asisine celebrities America has put into politics, not knowing the level of catastrophically insane stupidity that was going to happen
No he wasn't. He accepted Mike for who is was. Most interviews with Mike go way over the top with that "you terrify me, don't get angry at me" bullshit. Craig kept it real as he always did
Being able to bond with mike already shows craig is an awesome person
I just ended up reading and liking every comment here. There's simply an instant camaraderie I feel with the Ferguson fans and viewers here.

TheDistantEchos - Hey I actually think Mike is one of the most honest people out there, God bless him. Great interview.
Big fan of Craig...now in 2024..
I love how Mike hugged Craig, Mike took that hug like he really needed it.
GOD bless everyone.
That conversation and hug at the end shows Craig doesnt judge first but try’s to understand and be empathetic and sympathetic.

"I'm not really here, Mike". Man, Geoff is fast!!
Craig had to change the subject real fast before Mike got upset 😂

This is golden. When Geoff got his real time voice the show just got hilarious, these two were so quick to come up with BS lol great chemistry.

the monologue is especially good in this one
Mike was very open about his habbits, well as was Craig ... nice conversation.
The Louisville bit with Mike was the best. Mike himself saw the opportunity to make a self deprecating and took it.
Tyson really is a sand up bloke, got a lot of respect for that man.
LOl...I can't...
Love Craig and love the Tyson interview.
Suddenly, I think Mike Tyson is an ok guy - he seemed nice
Love Mike's candor.

Up to this time, i just hear CF monologue, could someone tell me if he improvise ? If he is , my gosh he is such genius!

Ferguson was clearly intimidated by Mike.
I am intimidated by Mike, and I'm sitting thousands of miles away in front of a monitor!
No. He was deeply terrified lol
For sure and anybody who says that they aren't is talking shite.
who wouldn’t be

kind of crazy that this guy sitting here could at any moment just stand up and kill someone in the room with his bare hands

Oh man, I wanted to send him an email about cca 40k fans he has in Czech Republic... guess I won't then, don't wanna be made fun of :D
Man, that Tom Lennon is sure an attention seeker.... Mike is way more interesting!
Rock is to roll as x is to coal
I want to say that Mike Tyson said , allegedly, I could be wrong, it happens. ( The best punch I ever threw was at Robin Givens ) . Am I correct ?
I doubt it if that was true Robin Givens would have been seriously injured
@@dltguitar6532 I never said he made contact .

Sweet emotional good hearted person our Mike.. people guy.. Another one saved by marihuana
