I've got a 2018 V7 I got this year, and I love it. For anyone thinking about one, go take a look in person. Real unique, high quality bikes. Seeing it in person you'll notice the difference from Japanese bikes. He's also riding this fairly slow for reference. Mine has an exhaust/tune and it's so much fun. Kinda like a muscle car in bike form. If you run the revs up and shift through the gears, it's really a little rocket...
Love the air cooled V2 engine of the V7. Sounds sweet and you're not immediately illegally fast when you pull on the throttle. I got mine with a Mistral exhaust and stripped down a few kilos, which makes it the perfect commuter bike for me. I also lake the shakes and vibrations it does.
@@edcgadgets-de He probably meant by switching the stock exhausts for the Mistrals. With the Agostini you reduce about 5kg they say, I figure it's similar for the Mistrals.

What I love about the new V7 is how well it pulls to redline. There's a specific route that I like to take sometimes that has a lot of wide sweeping curves, then a couple of sharper ones. I feel like this where the bike is really in its element. You can pretty much stay in 5th or 6th gear the whole time and the bike will lean over just the way you need it to.
This bike is on my list of wants no doubt. i'm riding a bmw f800r (bike for girls!) now and my friend has a MG California Jackal. It intimidated me a bit at first but after riding it a few times it's just kind of sublime. A great riding bike. Thanks for the videos and the scenery in this one is stunning!
Love the look of the V7, totally old-school but modern...but the Kawasaki W800 always seems to pop into my mind whenever I think of the Moto Guzzi. Maybe because my local Kawa dealership has been trying to get me to test ride the one on their floor...
Schaaf moto guzzi is the legend of bikes. Try to visit moto guzxi factory's and you will understand what iam saying. The engine the sound and the feeling is unbelievable. We wait v100 mandello from you!

Haha I almost bought sv650, and by coincidence i had a luck to try this v7 stone, and that was it. Now i have no problrm selling all my vehicles except Moto Guzzi. :) but i still like s650 :).

I bought a V7 this year but was looking at other 650s like this. No regrets here. The V7 is a badass bike, and definitely has some advantages over a Japanese bike. The looks are killer in person and the quality of the parts just seems a little more luxurious, like the seat, feel of the controls and suspension and things like that. The reliability is actually pretty good, except for a run of lemons they had in like 2016 or something.
yes, finally! She deserves the attention you're giving to her, I got the v9 bobber (same engine) and I love it! More people should try these bikes ps: if you want to ride the v9 I can lend it to you, it would be a pleasure! I'm in the north of Italy
Awesome video and the scenery... simply astonishing! I definitely understand the feeling you got from the bike. V7 almost ended up in my garage for the very same reason, but I picked Shiver 900 instead as I sometimes need to listen to the little demon and go a bit faster. Luckily Shiver can do both slow and fast with its 900 V2 engine.
I made four mods on this: bar end mirrors, a little Dart tinted windscreen, handlebars for the rear portion of the seat (so I can also properly attach a tail bag) and last but not least, Agostini slip-ons. That’s it, it’s now perfect.

Glad you liked the bike, Schaaf! Next to my Nine-T Racer I have the 2019 V7III Racer (with the gorgeous matte chrome tank and red frame). Absolutely love it. Yes, it's not high on power, scrapes more easily than the boxer and has quite soft suspension in comparison...but man, does it make up in character! I'd rather ride this 52hp bike than any Kawa H2R. Love that burbly exhaust, gear whine, the looks...also love that it is 100% Italian. Made in an Italian village near lake Como, by Italians, with Italian parts. I've only swapped the exhausts for some beautiful black Agostini's (also made in Mandello a few hundred meters from the Guzzi factory), so that doesn't trigger my bike OCD ;-) Maybe 'pre-tensioning' the gear lever before shifting will lose most of the 'clackyness', works for me. Also, that cool-down pinging at the end :)
Really loved your vid (and others). What I really like is the fact that you push it beyond (my) believe, but in the local villages you keep it calm and slow. I'm a Belgian but living with my Italian girlfriend about 45 min from Passo Giau close to these magnificent mountains. We have a 4y old who has the freedom to play around, but traffic scares the shit out of me. I used to ride bikes (ducati, yahama and moto guzzi, my favorite being a guzzi Griso 8V SE) but I quit riding a while ago when I moved to Italy. Thinking about getting back on the saddle and experiencing the dolomites in another way than hiking/climbing. Thanks! Great production. This must have been late May, or June... and you are coming up from the Cortina side, but there are much nicer passes than this. Specially on the weekend it's a nightmare ;-)
I try my best to put only myself at risk. Thanks for noticing. And yes indeed, there's a ton of better passes over there. But unfortunately the circumstances only allowed a video on Giau or no video at all. I hope I made the right decision. It was mid-May. Definitely my favourite time for riding in the Dolomites, in case the snow allows it
My friend said, thay "V7 is the most perfect of unperfected bikes". I don't know whether to agree with him, because it's the only bike I have and I don't want another one;) yet.

I'm really torn, I should probably go there with my wife and check it up up close, she's not a fan of the R3 or any sport bike for that matter so maybe she'll give me the nod!
Maybe the best sounding original mc exhaust? The typical Guzzi sound is clear even through these pipes and i enjoyed the video. My own 2011 V7 Racer got Mistrals from new. I find them near perfect with modified db Killers . The old Heron head engine have enough power for me and the sound certainly is addictive. I will go for a test ride on a new V7 just to compare. But i probably stick with the old Heron head because of its slim and clean looks!

Musste man dann immer wieder raus fummeln.
On a V7 you're not a rider so much but more like a machinist - it's fine tho, I like it too. But I'll admit at the moment I'm more hyped about the V100 Mandello.

Musste man dann immer wieder raus fummeln.
Klingt sehr italienisch ;)
Did you ever happen to ride a Guzzi Breva 750? How would you compare it to this one?
On a V7 you're not a rider so much but more like a machinist - it's fine tho, I like it too. But I'll admit at the moment I'm more hyped about the V100 Mandello.
Well said!
Nice ride, nice bike, nice area, but missing the walk around at the end.
sometimes the circumstances don't allow that
Awesome.. 👌🌟🌟
Díky!
No bother!
wonderful video. I wonder why i cant hear the valvetrtain ticking.. clearance ok or is it just the audio?
Probably just the audio
Can this bike go fast? Or is it more mellow in character?
