- Here are some new and used records I have acquired since the last time we spoke. Hope you all enjoy. Take care, and be safe. Thank you for watching!
Note: the first album I showed, I forgot to mention the name of the album.
It's called "The Moon and the Melodies"
Hi Mike, very nice your son is getting into music. My boys never did, neither ever pulled a single album to listen to. Aliens, I saw the first one and that was enough, too much tension putting me on edge. Great movie, I just like to be relaxed more in a theatre lol
This new Alien movie is tense throughout, with some really crazy scenes, but very entertaining and well done. I hope my kids continue to explore new music, and old music, and enjoy it as much as you and I do. Thanks for watching, Steve!
Great t shirt Mike. The Low Life boxset looks superb. That was a great find. I must get the NIN debut as well. Mike
808 State were pretty huge in the UK between 89-91. When every kid in England was holidaying in Ibiza when rave took over the country their track 'Pacific State' became a Bealeric anthem, they had two other huge top tens 'In Your Face' & Cubik' that are both still iconic over here. New Order are incredible, but if I'm honest I love Technique & Substance..but I'm actually hit & miss with the others, its hard to hear BLT & Perfect Kiss not in 12" versions.
Love that Ninety album by 808 State. And Cubik was pretty cool too (did that have A guy Called Gerald still in the group then?)
Technique and Republic are my two fave New Orders LPs.
The Blue Nile albums have been reissued recently. As well as A Girl Called Eddy first album, Riverside's One album. Also The Softies vinyl albums are all available on Bandcamp. And their new album too!
I don't know any of those bands, but I will check them out. Thanks!
Classic NIN album. The reissues I bought disappointed me. This one looks interesting with the gatefold. Nice Storm the Studio! Never had that Meat Beat one. I just have their Psych Out single. 808 State had some big hits with Pacific State. I really like their 90 album. Cheers man!
This NIN reissue sounds pretty good to me. Psych Out is a cool song, need to get that 99% album on vinyl. Thanks!
Around the Fur and Koi No Yokan are two of my favorite Deftones albums, I enjoy your videos as always.
Thank you. I really like that Koi No Yokan album because the whole thing is consistently good, without any one song really standing out to me. I also really like Saturday Night Wrist, the self titles album, Diamond Eyes and White Pony. Great band. I'm liking the Crosses project too.
@@playvinylinthemilkynight Yes sir, Saturday Night Wrist and Diamond Eyes are great too! Also check out Team Sleep.
Hey Mike! As I got into electronic music in the mid 1990’s, I bought ‘Subliminal Sandwich’ because I liked the industrial, dub and trip-hop elements in there. Still have my original vinyl copy but haven’t listened in a long time. I haven’t really checked their other albums, but now I want to 😊
Very cool, definitely check out Storm the Studio, to me it is their masterpiece.
I had the same feeling about getting industrial dance stuff or EBM on vinyl Seemed dum but after getting a couple records I changed my mind. They still sound better than the cd versions, when they are dine decent.
I totally agree. Not all but most of my electronic music/industrial albums sound better on vinyl. Thanks for watching!
I really envy people who can enjoy New Order, because they are just not for me. Other than few tracks like Blue Monday and True Faith, I don't find their music convincing enough for my taste. For me they represent a huge drop in the level of songwriting considering the perfection of Joy Division's output. It is like night and day...
Really? You don't like their songs "Leave Me Alone", "1963", "Ceremony", "Dreams Never End", "Paradise", "Vanishing Point", "All Day Long", "Dream Attack".
@@jessmanuel540 'Ceremony' is good, I have to admit.
