I don't mind losing, I'm a Leafs fan, I'm used to it Habs are too, they have the second longest drought of the Original Six teams. Losing to such a boring, uninspiring team like the Habs. That's not bitterness, I watched them all year, they were even less exciting than the Flames games. When Leafs lose to Boston, they lose to creativity and end to end battles and beauty. When they lose to the Habs they lose to 1995 hockey. It's the type of game that is ensured by "playoffs rules" and a prime reason Price has great playoff numbers (all defense, no offense) and zero Cups It's all about winning a round, maybe two for the Habs, which is an odd way for an Original Six team to approach the sport. They themselves, in a 30 year drought. Certain Leafs won't ever win a Cup, of that I am certain, but imagine sharing that same mark on your resume with the great Carey Price...

Best comment ever from this guy
Marner is not a playoff player, never was.He plays small, no heart in the playoffs doesn't go to that next level. Trade him. As for Matthews is off to Arizona when his contract is done. His heart isn't in Toronto never was. Might as well trade him now and get something for him too before he leaves in a few years at trade deadline for nothing.
I actually agree with this, put 70% of the return into Hyman like players or landeskog like players. We don’t need razzle dazzle skill anymore. Our prospect pool
Is nothing like Vancouver’s or Montreal’s or Ottawa’s or the flames.. we have no scary new guns and we even have low picks 😂
For a player being paid 11M, Marner was absolute trash. He was so slow.
1 playoff appearance in 11 years. 1 playoff series win in 18 years and counting. No cup in 54 years and counting.
Jesus..... and people crap on Edmonton and Buffalo. What a joke this franchise is.
They float down here in Toronto, they all float.
Love is 60 seconds... all was said : )
"Maybe the most historic franchise we have in the sport" ????? Only on Sportsnet.
Awesome.
Once everything opens and the new season begins, stay clear of Scotiabank Place and teach this team a lesson.
All the tickets are corp sold or season ticket holders, the team has their money, they have no financial reason to win
@@Rodzilagunz They can also choose to not show up and not renew. Simple as that.
@@vikvinyl1404 but they won’t, this is common conversation every year with leaf fans, in a few months it’ll be pre season, leafs will win a few games and it’ll be “this is the year” again
@@Rodzilagunz Of course. I do however believe the organization wants to win, all financial reasons aside.
Who can you trade for Marner given his playoff woes? He won't get what you probably think....
I keep watching videos of Leafs fans acting like spoiled crybabies
Remember Matthew’s smiling during the scrums... Leafs losing a series again is something to smile about. #gohabsgo
Ngl... I loved those moments. Lol
Matthews isn't going to put up with this much longer
Honestly, that says it all. All attempts to explain this collapse don't work. The only thing that works is silence.
Mathews isn't going to put up with this much longer. Eh Sid?
And people wonder why I'm bitter. I'm a leafs fan. I have nothing to be optimistic about.
Do what I did. Be smart. Burn your jersey.
Yep this seams pretty accurate
Matthew’s isn’t going to put up with this garbage any longer. #FREEMATTHEWS
Oh please, Matthews was part of the problem. lol The guy scores the most goals in the league during the season and disappears when it mattered most. 1 goal in the whole series?!? Come on. Sure, he may be a talented player. But if he disappears during the playoffs, what good is he?
Matthews IS the garbage in Toronto 🤦♂️
@@MG-im8ku he’s a 23 year old goal scoring machine who had a bad playoffs - which is just 7 games against 1 team. He gained valuable experience and if you think he’s part of Toronto’s problems please send him to Edmonton. Well take him!
@@739jep How much experience does he need? Isn't his first time losing in the playoffs. He has 32 career playoff games. If you don't have enough experience in that time to score some goals, I'm sorry but there is a big problem there.
@@MG-im8ku Obviously he needs a little more. Theres a long list of stanley cup champions who didn't achieve a lot before they were 23. Even some who did put up less goals than matthews has per game in the playoffs. Be patient and dont chase your superstars out of town. Its not easy to find them. Some franchises have never had someone as good as Matthews in their entire history.
It hurts to say this as Im an oilers fan, but the leafs are a good team, sometimes good teams lose in the playoffs, its a random sport sometimes and a 7 game series isnt very long. Come back again next year with a similar team and try again.
It's the type of game that is ensured by "playoffs rules" and a prime reason Price has great playoff numbers (all defense, no offense) and zero Cups
It's all about winning a round, maybe two for the Habs, which is an odd way for an Original Six team to approach the sport. They themselves, in a 30 year drought.
Certain Leafs won't ever win a Cup, of that I am certain, but imagine sharing that same mark on your resume with the great Carey Price...
