I've been running some similar to these for 3 years now on my 88 jimmy and love them. More often than not someone who was cruising behind me pulls up along side me and compliments the sequential feature.
Yes sir, we like 'em as well. Thanks for Watching>
Did you do anything other than change one LED flasher that’s recommended or did you change both flashers? Do you have any issues when you have the headlights on with the tail lights staying in the bright position as if you’re breaking or do they go low when you take your foot off the brake? I only changed one flasher like the instruction said but my tail lights stay bright when I take my foot off the break if I have my headlights on.
I like my classics as original as possible but this upgrade is definitely much nicer.
Thanks
I own a cucv. I just bought one and honestly you’re making it really easy for me to be able to all the work I need to, to my m1009
Glad to help and good luck with your project
I love mine on my 1985 c10 you have to remember that you need 2 led flashers for under the dash on the fuse block I got mine at work at speedway motors think they are from united pacific parts.
Thanks for the info
Makes it look awesome. Hey you should really invest in theft deterents. column lock, brake pedal lock, kill switch etc. These old trucks are easy to steal
Yes sir, it's on the list.
How did the reverse lights look? Nice and bright white or what were your thoughts?
Yes they are much brighter, but still the poor factory angle really doesn't do a great job.
they look great. i like the sequential look but a little pricey.
I agree, they really shouldn't be that expensive.
I have a 74 k5. Where can I get a top like you have on this one? Mine is Fiberglas and broke in a lot of places. We never take it off cause we don’t want it to crack more. I think it’s time to take it off. Start repairing. But I’d like to get a canvas like yours. I like the look.

I added the exact same lights, but I can’t get my right turn signal to work or any of the brake lights ..i added the led flasher and still nothing…did you do anything different???
You need to use the LED flasher that has the ground wire coming off, and put that wire to a good ground.
I bought a pair and mine work fine until I pull the headlight knob. The tail light lights u like I’m stepping on brake pedal. Dave Welch won’t reply. I even installed the front turn and marker lights which work great. Any advice?
So when you put the headlights on, the brake lights light up?? maybe you have a crossed circuit? Need to check voltages on output side of harness at the tailight.
I’m having the same problem right now as well
Any moisture problem? I have the same ones and they keep getting moisture in them.
None so far, we installed in the heat of summer, went through fall, and now some snow and cold with lots of winter rain/ice. No issues. I would take pics and ask for a replacement. For the price they should be perfect.
Other than using the LED flasher that is recommended, did you change anything else? Whenever I turn on my headlights, the tail lights want to stay bright. They will signal but they’ll always go back to bright instead of the lower light setting. If I turn off my headlights, everything seems to work normally including the brake lights but someone recommended I might need a diode or something. Do yours all work normally? Can you take a picture or video of that flasher installation and see if maybe I did it wrong?
Aside from defective lights, maybe your pigtails are plugged in 180 -off or were replaced over the years and the wires were switched, that would cause the bright to light when the dim is supposed to. The flasher should not matter for this problem, we did include the flasher in a video after the taillight install, check the playlist here: ua-cam.com/play/PLJ3eH76dwbZvT2SdTmx-RrmnB8Ikp08Tu.html
I have these same taillights, how did you get the turning signal to continually work, mine do not blink
Used new LED flashers that have a ground wire
awesome
Thanks for watching
will this work for 1988 gmc jimmy sierra?
Yes it will, any squarebody
Lol I touched the old bulb and it turned to sand, now I gotta take out the bulb rim
Hate when that happens
Why did u put the led flasher in the link if u didn’t use the flasher
We did use the flasher
Does the revere light cut on mine doesn’t
Mine does, maybe your back-up light switch is out of adjustment
