This isn’t survival of the fittest at all it shows that life is pure dumb luck. Survival of the fittest is fucking fake when so much comes down to sheer luck. I mean even in a fight a bigger creature could have its neck cut or be maimed accidentally or king of the forest hit by an unlucky antler that takes them down. Pure down luck is what this world comes down to.

The other chick whose eye gets injured seems to fade much faster than the other two. Nature can be cruel.

He's not literally holding the camera though it's stationary and he's controlling it remotely I'm pretty sure. Even still what could he do remove them all from the nest.... And then what. Personally remove all the ants, and then bring them back. I don't think that would have been successful. Parents probably would have abandoned them because they were too weak to survive
