Is there really such a thing as a good "used" Fiat 500??? Part 2 of the Fiat 500 journey is here.

- After getting an enquiry from a friend of our daughters wanting a particular Fiat 500 for their daughter, I luck out with a motor trade acquaintance of mine and manage to find the exact car almost ready to go. Is there such a thing as a good used Fiat 500??? Holly's reaction might confirm that there just might be.

Remember picking my first car up, bright red MG Metro😁 hope Holly has many years of happy motoring.🚗
I liked MG Metro's never had one though 🤪Cheers Andrew, all the best 👍
Kev,your a genuine dealer who care’s about what you sell you are becoming a legend with the channel
Ha!! Don't know about a legend Peter but its real nice to interact with you lot over this platform, its opened my eyes for sure, wish I did it 10 years ago, ive had some great adventures since starting this job and wish id done videos on all of them 🤦♂️🤦♂️Thanks for the support bud.👍
I LOVE the exterior color plus the interior fabric....LOVE IT. It's my fav from Fiat. Omg my dream car.
It was a cool little car no doubt, and for the age etc, theres no denying they are cheap little cars 🤪🤪
As a driving instructor for almost 20 years i loved seeing the kids getting a nice little car when they passed their tests, they usually texted me pics😎
That is a cracking little car, immaculate and nice colour, hope Holly gets years of pleasure from it.
We bought my daughter her first car, a five year old Skoda Fabia, hated it cos she wanted an auto 🤷🏼♂️ so she traded it in for a two year old Kia Picanto, tbf it was a brilliant car.
😱😱You've got Super Sic on your profile 👍👌💪that makes us mates already 👊
I bet that must have been a great feeling every time someone sent you a piccy of their first car 👌All because you helped them get there, how cool 😎
I bet that Kia didn't miss a beat the whole time you owned it 👍👍
@@VisionPrestigeCars and have SuperSic on t shirts, baseball caps and back window of car along with Jonny Rea. Sic was something else, he was trained by the Doctor and I have no doubt he would have surpassed VR as GOAT had he lived.
Was good feeling though on occasions not so good when turned out Daddy had bought them new high powered Mercedes or BMWs as first cars 🤷 madness.
@@VisionPrestigeCarsshe kept the Picanto around 13 years and never a problem, changed it in 2021 to a 2014 Kia Venga. Great cars.
That’s the right car for the right owner. Great job and customer service Kev👍👍👍
Thanks Nigel, completely agree, perfect match for little Holly 👌👌good times 👍
she was over the moon with that fiat 500 and why not it was loverly and you was right to mop it and brakes for sure, well done kev and well done holly with the new car she gonna love that for ever. great second part kev brilliant
Thanks Andrew glad you liked the second part, times have changed since I was I kid, it was a £1,000 banger to learn in back then, although my Nova SR was immaculate 🤩🤩🤪🤪🤪and man did I love that car 🤓🤓🤓
@@VisionPrestigeCars yeah i can remember them days bit more and buying mk5 cortinas for 300 quid with yrs mot and some tax lol i had a nova merit so wasnt as posh with the sr you try and buy let a lone find a decent nova now yep times have deffo changed by the way i did enjoy the fist part aswell i enjoy all your videos cheers kev
Another brilliant video, a genuine honest and entertaining car dealer!
Thanks Kev, glad you liked that one, was a very enjoyable one to do 👍
Good job kev!! The 500 turned out to be a wonderful car!
Cheers Matt 👍👊Holly is really loving that little car 👌
Always good to know the history and how well (or not) it's been looked after. Happy customer 👍
Completely agree bud 👍nice one 👍👊
Brilliant job as usual Kev, they looked so chuffed. Properly prepared and presented 0)
Cheers Brain, Holly loves that car, as we all did our first car 👍👍👍
Fantastic ! she was so happy with her new car.
You made a good car even better, I can only imagine the feeling. Well done, keep up the videos, loving the channel :)
Thanks David glad your enjoying the channel, appreciate the support 👍👍👊👊
Just found your channel Kev I remember that feeling 40+ years ago getting my first car . My granddaughter got her test next month if she passes thinking of getting a 500 .
Nice one Terry welcome aboard.....you wouldn't be the first to think of a Fiat 500 for a first car, they are everywhere 🤪🤪🤪
How to make a young lady very happy ? Easy buy her a car from Vision Prestige 😃 well done Kev you have worked a miracle. Not only found the car she wanted but also the colour she wanted mint on the outside and also mint on the inside 😃. Shame about the vandalism to the BMW there are some idiots that hate to see a nice shiny car that they know they will never own. Well done Kev your pre sales service is second to none. Just loving little Alfie bet his bark is bigger than his bite lol. Well done Kev keep smiling. Tom
Thanks Tom ive started looking forward to your comments 🤪🤓Yeah little Holly is still loving that car 🤩As for the BMW, if it was deeper id be 🤬🤬😤😤but it will come out, thankful its a BMW with super deep paint 👍Little Alfie is cute but his bark gets damn annoying every time I do a video because he thinks someone else is here 🤦♂️🤪All the best Tom 👍
Great cars basically a Ford KA but the 1.2 engine (fire) are built proof even if the cam belt snaps it’s non interference so doesn’t damage the valves , cheap as chips for parts you must of got changed out of £50 doing the pads and discs , the only thing that lets them down is rusting rear axle , but a quick rub down and some built hamber painted on it sorted
"Cheap as chips" describes them very well 👍 that's the problem 🤪Nice one Phil 👍
I think fiat 500 are the most risky cars to sell and a big stress when that call comes in. Great job 👏
Unfortunately I agree, told myself the last one I sourced for a client would be the last one 🤦♂️until this one 🤪🤪🤪🤪
I feel your pain with the bmw m8, a couple of yrs ago my black Insignia was keyed in a council car park close to my work. I thought I'd upset a colleague, but the local Facebook page said 30 cars had been keyed in one day in this car park and the nearby B&Q car park. A lot of it polished out but some deeper areas haven't, very annoying . Fiat turned out well , another good video 👍
"30 Cars"!!😱😱😱I just don't get the mentality of the people that do it, so odd!! Nice one Darren, glad most it came out, I would have hated having to get your car painted because of some 🤬🤬🤬
Bloody brilliant first car well done making it look wven better with your touches 👍👍👍
Thanks bud, just waiting for the phone call now saying the door handles fallen off or something like that 🤦♂️🤪🤪🤪
@@VisionPrestigeCars 😂😂😂that made me chuckle. I have a video idea for you please could you do how you started out etc and what money you started with and how you built up to what you have now it would be great content and very interesting. 👍👍👍
Kev, all credit to you in the care you take in preparing your cars, the Fiat 500 looked amazing. (Never thought I’d say that about a Fiat 500 😂) if you could just hop on a plane to the US and teach me that would be awesome. Seriously though I love watching your progress it’s very entertaining and genuine, one of the best on UA-cam, a bit like your cars, highly polished.
In the US 😳😳??!! I still find it mad that people in other countries are watching little ole me fumbling around 🤪🤪its mega for sure 👌just didn't expect it. Thanks for the support Mark, nice one 👍👊
You’re a smashing guy Kev! Will be coming to you for my next car for sure - may even have an X1 to trade 😂
Thanks mate appreciate it more than you know, im finding it hard to do everything at the mo and this YT stuff takes me forever, the problem is, I really like doing it, and I never thought I would 👍👍🤪
Sorry about the BMW, , I would be rather frustrated!
With regard to the Fiat, my wife has one, ideal for town driving etc and could possibly do with a sixth gear, the original was small and hence this is a modern day version, but they are ok- still would like a 500 Abarth! Well done on changing the front discs- the sign of a good dealer!- Keep going Kev!✅✅✅
Spot on mate keep em coming
Thanks bud, ill try my best.👍👍👍
Nice one Kev, I’d buy a car from you without question.
Thanks Terry that's kind, I try my best 🤪🤓🤩
Smashing the content mate !
Thanks a lot, glad people are enjoying it 👍👍
Well done 👍 top dealer!
👍👍Thanks a bunch 🤪Appreciate it.
Our Daxy is the same barks at anything they are brilliant company we have a Black and Tan standard very similar to yours. This was a very accomplished video, really enjoyed the prep work and detailed polishing part still building up the courage to do my mrs 500 e it’s black (worse colour ever) for showing marks and small scores would be nice to get them out as it looks properly mint when clean.. keep up the great work
I bet your Daxy is as strong as an Ox isn't he Will?? Thanks for the kind comment on this video, I do enjoy making them but it really does take a lot of time. 👍👍👍🤪
@@VisionPrestigeCars stronger than a dog ten times it’s size they are amazing company ! She’s female 5 year old first ever daxy, got her as a rescue at 8 months old superbly stubborn but loving !
Sorry Kev I thought you drove to Dales in a Merc I saw in the backround. But im a idiot lol. God that 500 is very nice. The Renault 5 turbo. I had afew of those. The turbo's kept blowing. Kev changing disks are a bloody Nightmare bro. Nice Polish. Holly looks very happy. Great Video Kev. 😅 🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮
That's an awesome first car! Sure she will enjoy it for a few years to come.
Yeah she will, that will be her all time favourite car for sure, we all loved our first car didn't we 👍🤪
@@VisionPrestigeCars Less can be said about my Metro City 😔
Ha!! Metro City, bet you still have good memories of it though 🤓🤓🤓🤓👍👍
Brakes look great so does the dog
If they do go wrong it is all about how it is dealt with that determines wether that i have a new car feeling continues
I remember my first car a Mini Clubman Estate you wouldnt have been able to mop that there was more rust than paint lol but i loved it . The Fiat looked amazing top job no wonder they were Happy
A Clubman Estate that was a cool car, I still think they look cool even now, I just could never get comfortable with pushing the pedals down into the floor rather than forward towards the bulk head if you know what I mean 🤪🤪🤪
Absolutely gutted, why, why, why do people do this to other people's property, words can't explain why someone should want to key/damage a car and for what reason.... makes me so mad that because some people just use a car as an mode to get to AtoB and have no emotional connection that they feel everyone else are the same, breaks my heart to see any car treated like this, the running's I have had over the years when people don't care for other people's things.... make's me sick, hope you can fix it Kev, glad the young lady like's the car... keep up the good work...
Im furious about it Simon, that BMW is completely original and has been on this planet for 15 without being painted, then some idiot does that 🤬🤬🤬🤬I don't get it, never have never will, but I was brought up properly I guess 😤😤Thanks for the support as always bud, ill get that scratch out no probs, BMW paint is a dream to work with 👌👌
@@VisionPrestigeCars Really really does fuck me off... I know I'm of the 0.000001% that take car things to the next level as our previous exchanges but why, why ,why do people see a need to do what they do.... I just don't get it... I don't care what people drive I love cars and when you see a car that's been looked after from a RR to a Fiat 500 who cares what it cost it's the love that someone has for that car and why should some moron deface it.... really, really does boils my blood...
No pressure kev fairplay to ya that lil car is shining like a diamond hope its lucky for the young girl. The key marks on the bmw is annoying some rotten person 🙄
Yeah Paddy makes me furious, what's wrong with people. Thanks for the comment mate 👍
Those Fiat 500 make decent money here in Ireland
Car was probably keyed by someone who believes they own the road outside their house. My wife, a District Nurse, had her new Mini Cooper keyed in a similar fashion whilst visiting a patient. Unluckily for the offender it was caught on the front and rear dash cams and he got arrested.
A District Nurse visiting a patient!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬That would have made my blood boil.....thank the joy of technology catching that moron out 👌👌👌nice one Dave.
Italians are on the ball with maintenance things. They know their cars will definitely be back to them in the garage so they make things easy. It sounds like I'm talking nonsense but I'm not. Take the alfa mito 1.3 diesel. Same engine as vans corsas. The engine is fantastic but turbos go on them common. On the corsa the turbo has a very difficult bolt to remove to get it off. I went to do same on the alfa to find alfa took it upon their wisdom to simply leave out the difficult bolt. Lol. In all honesty it didn't need it anyway it was overkill. Clever italians.
That actually makes alot of sense......"they know they will be back" 🤪🤪made me chuckle 👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍👍
Your a man of few words Stevie, and I like them 🤪🤪🤪
The discs look like they need changing scored very rusty in this case pads as well 😳👍
Yeah I thought that....but I know alot of dealers that wouldn't have changed them 😏😏😏
Hi kev, u mentioned not to buy an early ecoboost fiesta, I’m looking at a 2019 fiesta st line ecoboost. What do u think ? Should I have any reservations ?
Hi bud, to be honest the later ones are way better, that age will still have a wet belt so go for the lowest mileage possible but 100% make sure its either got a full main dealer history or invoiced proof that its only ever had Ford approved oil in it, if it hasn't id walk away simply as there will be another that has and you know the belt will still be like new. They are a cool little car, guessing its a 140ps being an ST line, its mad that much power comes stock out of a 1.0l engine. All the best, happy motoring 😎😎😎
Cheers Kev, I’ll bear that in mind. Thanks 4 taking the time to respond, really appreciate that mate !
Really great channel you have here too, incredibly interesting, and looking forward to see how it evolves, all the best. Adam. 👍
Nice one Adam appreciate the kind comments thanks 👍Have fun 👊😎Kev
Great video again..... But and it's big but we had one of these 500s almost new and it was one of the worse cars we have ever had it was total rubbish we only had it for just short of a year it was no good at all poorly made poor trim, noisy, just horrid thing to drive, best thing about it was the day we sold it still great vidio!!!!
So you think the 85/105bhp 899cc twinair is SLOWER than the 60bhp 1.2? 🤣
Thats a branch mate, key isnt that straight, wobbles up and down more
Yep, it's been run down a bush
You might be right Colin, it is quite straight and id prefer to think its that but I don't think it is on this one, key scratches only wobble when the individual that's done it makes it wobble, when people walk past cars that don't want to be noticed they just hold a key out at the same level and usually don't do the job very well as it needs more pressure and the more pressure creates more wobble, this scratch is light thankfully but it does have consistency changes in depth that a branch wouldn't do 🤔Is defo not a bush as theres no other marks on the car......It makes me feel way better thinking its been done by a branch 🤔🤔Thanks for the comment bud 👍👍
Good car bad car, never owned one, so I reserve judgement. All I can say is when the first came out saw a lot of them, now I can't remember the last time I saw one.
They are still everywhere 🤪But im reserving judgement with you 👍👍🤪
I’ve been enjoying your videos and your apparent honesty but drilling additional holes to fix the rear number plate when the manufacturer provides them is just lazy and unprofessional.
"Apparent honesty" 😱APPARENT HONESTY!! 😤 For starters I used the factory captive inserts in the boot lid I DID NOT DRILL NEW HOLES FOR THE REAR NUMBER PLATE so watch it again and get it right, and for seconds I drilled new holes in the PLASTIC front bumper as the original holes had been rung out prior to my getting this car probably by an apprentice when it was new and would not secure the new plate, the original plate had been secondary secured using double sided tape which I hate. I relocated the holes to the edge of the number plate so the corners of the plate did not stick out and catch Hollys leg due to the curve of the bumper and the natural straightness of the plastic number plate. Everything I do I do 100% correct and with passion and more professionalism than anyone I know so think about what your saying to people in the future or just don't bother!!
@@VisionPrestigeCars
Apparent honesty because I’ve never bought a car from you and only know what you show.
I do apologise for saying you are lazy and unprofessional for drilling holes for the rear number plate, it was in fact the front where you behaved in that manner. The comment about the plate catching someone’s leg is hilarious, just do it properly.
I’ve enjoyed your videos but your inability to take constructive criticism means I’m out.
Good luck with the new premises
You know what, I was going to leave replying to this until I got down to the "just do it properly"comment! Incase you weren't aware, the term "constructive criticism" only has merit when it's "constructive"! The original front bumper holes had been rung out as I said, if I used them the front number plate would have fallen off, at this point most dealers would have bodged it on with double sided tape. Do you not think if I could have used the original plate as a stencil and save time and effort I would have?! The original holes sit 6 inches to the centre, as I couldn't use them I put them on the edge to prevent number plate flare. Thanks for the apology but you really should think about putting negative comments on things when you don't know the full story, it doesn't help and it certainly isn't constructive, I'd like to hear how I could have done this particular job any more "properly" as you stated?? As for taking criticism, i'm ginger, trust me, ive got that skill well and truly down!! Kev.
They're great little cars . Once the little niggles are ironed out they're just fine . One UA-cam guy has one with 200,000 miles on the clock
