Filthy Fiat 500 - only 4 years old and 4K miles, but in need of a deep clean

It’s fair to say that in its 4 year life and 4K miles this little Fiat 500 hasn’t seen a hose pipe or bucket of suds very often. And when it has, it would seem whoever was ‘washing’ it was just moving the much around and damaging the bodywork. Proof that poor wash techniques can play havoc with a car’s clearcoat and prematurely age the appearance.
If budget allowed, I would’ve loved to treat this little car to a full paint correction but sadly it’s another one for the sales forecourt so we just have to do what we can with the limited time and funds.
What you won’t see in the video is the stained seats which I treated the day before. The video also doesn’t show the bobbly carpet, a result of years without floor mats. I found the best way to solve this was to use my bobble remover usually reserved for my woolly jumpers. Needs must.
I did machine polish the worst scratches on above the door handles, as they were really letting the side down and one of the first things you notice when getting in the car. It’s not perfect, but hopefully you’ll agree it looks a lot better than it did when it arrived.
