- Welcome to my unboxing, set up and review of the Fujifilm Instax Mini 12! Self portraiture is a field of photography I’m intrigued by but never self-indulged until recently. With this instant camera, I decided to play around with self-expression while showing you how it performs with different lighting and distances. All photos captured with this camera were taken by me, which you’ll watch after the unboxing and set up segment of this video.

This was such a lovely video~ I recently unboxed my new instax mini 12 as well - it's my first ever instant camera! How are you liking yours so far? do you think it performs better than the 11? and where did you get that temporary tattoo? :o I love totoro!
Thank you Rose for your lovely words :) Congrats on your first ever instant camera, I hope you're liking the prints! Between the Instax 11 and the 12, I think they both perform almost identically. I do however like the change in appearance with the 12- its physical body features are more "solid" than what I've observed with the 11.

hi! i just recently got my instax mini 12 so i really wanted to know if the close up mode makes a difference for selfies comparing to the normal mode? if there are any, which mode do you prefer for selfies?
Hello there, congrats on the new camera! I've not used the selfie mode for selfies but for my arm (shown in the video) and it didn't focus well in that regard. It should produce a different result from the normal mode especially for selfies, feel free to let us know how it goes :)

Hi! Yes, the camera will print the picture you take a few seconds later (as long as there is a cartridge inside).
Can we take a picture just use on? I mean without close-up can we still a picture without close-up just use on?
Hello, yes you can! The close-up mode can be pulled to enable the shooting mode, and pushed in to shoot in standard :)
I bought yesterday.. my camera is not working i think i take out the film thts why right? I tried usinh camera for 3 times it came out white.. help me
Hi there, it seems that the film might the issue here. Firstly, yes the film pack installed in the camera should not be touched/opened/adjusted until the counter is at "0". Thinking out loud here... is the film pack expired by any chance? Or damaged before instalment? If not, I would recommend getting the camera checked by a staff member at a retail store or sending it back to the place you purchased it from and letting them know the issue, what you've tried and whether they could send a replacement. You are not supposed to remove the film if it’s exposed. Otherwise, It will leave a white picture to your film, Since it’s already exposed.
Hey!! you may not see this as the video was uploaded 3 months ago but I'm contemplating between buying the clay white or blossom pink because I saw someone say the clay white one stained/got dirty very fast. Did this happen to your camera and are you happy with it? Hopefully you reply to this as I am going to buy this for my birthday 🤗

Hello! I keep my camera in its original paper packaging when not in use to protect it but I'm aware that's not practical for everyone. The clay white would probably display marks more visibly than other colours but as long as it's stored properly and handled with care, it should be all good; that's how I treat my cameras and they're like in their original condition. Having said that, my Instax Wide Link received a corner mark before I used it during a trip and I think that could be the nature of these camera materials. You could get a case or pouch for the clay white if that's the colour you're leaning towards :) I hope this helps in any way, and happy birthday in advance!
