The 8 has worked very well for me, but even in good light it darkens the background a lot. I chose to buy a mini Evo. It works as a camera and printer at the same time (it is more expensive but I think that for all the functions it has, it is worth it) if you have the money I recommend it, otherwise the 12 is at a good price and has improvements that the 8 no longer has.
I won the instax 12 in a giveaway im waiting for it to arrive so i was trying to see the differences between it and the instax 8 which my brother and his wife own, the camera being completely automatic is kinda of a bummer since i really like photography but i guess it has its advantages of being to be able to take pics in the moment without scrambling for the perfect settings
@ the 12 sometimes fails to focus properly on the person youre trying to take a picture off and lighting is sometimes off in some scenarios(2pictures taken from the same spot back to back ended up completely different despite both being put in a dark space away from direct light, but i am pretty happy with the result , id like to think that its my ineptitude of using a fully automatic camera thats at fault, however theres another solution to those problems just buy a polaroid printer by instax and theres also different film formats to choose from, you can print any picture you want from your phone
I’ve taken 7 photos with the mini 12, all indoors, and they all come back almost pitch black (similar to the outdoor landscape). I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong, I tried in low light and bright light and both ended up with the same result
don’t know if you’ve already found the solution to the difficulty you’ve had with taking photos with the camera indoors but I’ve only ever used the mini 8 so it might differ a little from your experience but the only time I ever got pitch black or white pictures back was when the batteries had either died or I needed to use other batteries with more power. otherwise sometimes it helps me if I don’t stand in full lighting or darkness and instead try to stand in the shadow a little (if you’re outdoors, under a roof etc, so that the sun doesn’t land directly on the thing you’re trying to capture) and take pictures. and if you do all of that already, then just ignore what I said :)!
Hi, I wanted to buy the Instax Mini 11. I wanted to know if I put new film in this camera and only take 3 to 4 pictures, and if I don't use the camera for the next 3 to 4 months, what will happen to the remaining film left in the camera? Can the film go bad, or can I still take pictures with the remaining film?
Thanks! I also want to know, from a gifting perspective, whether to choose the Mini 9 or the Mini 11. What are your thoughts after using this for 6 months? @@matejphoto
@@jonathanleonard9507 Well in a design aspect, I prefere the 12 I guess but thats up to opinion. There actually isnt that big a difference but I'm not a full-fleged photographer so I'm not sure if I'm qualified to say that. But there still is the tiniest bit of difference so... yeah. I'd recommend if you enjoy observing different ways you can photo things and stuff, but It's really up to you. Also recommend you watch a few videos like this one before you choose :)
I got my instax mini 9 for THREE DOLLARS. $3. At goodwill. It came loaded with a new pack of film too, just needed batteries.
Are you serious

The film will be totally fine even after a year in the camera. A lot of people tend to use the Instax in this way.

Hi, can you please write down the different apertures?
I think overexposure is kind of the esthetic of this camera so I would not call it a problem for mini 12 I think it's just enough
How to store the unused filims??
Keep it ini fridge??
I have an Instax Mini 9 and 12. I guess I can chop-and-change?
is the 12 much better than the 9? will it be worth the upgrade?

Hi, I want to buy either the Mini 11 or Mini 12 as a gift for a friend. Which one is better, and what are the major differences between them?
