All of us who are still reeling from the awful news of Chick's passing find great solace and comfort from these remembrances of those closest to him. FWIW, I "discovered" Chick back in 1974 as a young teen. I'd been a guitar player before that but after hearing the title track "Where Have I Known You Before" --I changed my instrument to piano. HIs expression and melodic phrasing just cut to my very soul.

At the end I put Vinnie and Weckl videos just as a farewell of these stories told by John about Chick Corea. I put Vinnie´s first because that concert is older than the second with Weckl, and I wanted both drummers to be at the end of this excerpt from the full interview. It´s not a biographical documentary, just incredible words from John of that period. Luckly we have Vinnie and Weckl in this adventure called music and of course, very related to the maestro Chick.
