Get it on long uphill and down hill gradients . Get it in the cities and the long stretches of Interstate , extreme cold and heat .. very very cold starting etc come on put it through its paces show the USA truck drivers and operators how good it is …
Scania Sweden is happy. With this demo truck in a potential new market, they first of all want attention around their brand name, and americans comeing looking closer at the truck. The 'drama' regarding Bruce to put some chromed stacks and other styling on the truck, or not, brings the Scania name out there in a larger degree, more views, more attention. This is marketing.
Swede here, I think they won't really think much about it, we have lots of builds here in Sweden that is way more custom, most of them Scanias. I was supprised he only put a narrow deck plate, no stacks and no front bullbar + top bar with lights
They won't care trust me, this is what the goal was considering Bruce says in the video Scania gave him permission to use their logo on this stuff. Make it more appealing to the American audience. As much as a stock truck is nice people do customize their trucks out here and with a lot of chrome.
It would be really cool if you could mount the deck plate on gas strutts or something so you can show off the systems easily while still having the clean look. For the toolbox, convert the passenger side(or both) external cab cubby storage locker thing. Thinking of opening the door and have things on the door and a pull out rack/chest with integrated lights so you can access everything easily and not just have it all lumped in. See the Aussies with firdge mounts that slide out and drop down for their overlanding rigs, I'm sure you could work out something with a bit of research and bouncing ideas off people that make cool stuff.
Bruce, I've been following you for years, but what the hell kind of videos are you making? prove once and for all what the Scania is worth, show it stock and stop this nonsense, this kind of stuff should be at the end, when the truck has proven everything, but I don't see the point in doing it now, we want to see how it compares to a loaded cummins or cat, consumption with an aerodynamic dry box compared to other trucks, that kind of tests, that's what sells trucks, not putting chrome on it. How people will now see how strong the chassis is if you are covering it up? it's ridiculous.
The hard core of Scania drivers in Sweden don't drive around with regular trucks. They are extremely customised with paint, lights, Michelin man etc. I'm just waiting for Bruce to get a Scania v8 tattoo😂 Keep up the good work 👍🇸🇪
What was the goal of bringing this truck to America? Was it to show off the difference in technology and comfort or was it to make an European truck as American as possible? I don't think there is anything wrong with some customization catered to the American audience but I think it really needs a "less is more" mentality. A deck plate does look good but it hides a lot of the visible differences.
Honestly, im really disapointed... You bought a European truck and you want to show the European trucks of and then you turn it american? Whats the logic?!
The logic is to show the americans that you can make a european truck cool in their way. A bit like dipping salad in chocolate to get the kids to eat salad.
@@Bruce_Wilson judging by comments elsewhere, plus in person reviews within your other videos - you don't need to make it American to make your fellow countrymen like it. I'm no trucker, not by any stretch, but you can tell Scania offer so much more overall. However, I appreciate the desire to personalise. As shown in part by the show you visited in Scandinavia no less.
I'm at 9:55 now and looking forward to how to bring American customization ideas and parts to a Scania. I trust you to not do it to the point where the Scania becomes something totally different - and I trust you with the choice of your partner. Edit: I think I'd go with blue for the deck plate and the tombstone. I'm with you that it would be nice with the blue tanks with black tank straps.
curious why you didn't just go for a euro style deck plate? you could have split it into 2 section and had it on gas struts to show off the components underneath.
@@Z4N7 plenty of people do just have rail to rail plates in Europe but if you are really going for the clean look then full width all the way, I'm surprised I've never seen an American truck with a full width deck. However as this is a demonstration model it really should be focused on demonstrating, really even the central plate should open up for visibility at shows.
@@Z4N7 No, for their old-fashioned cars, which have nothing but a cardan shaft between the chassis, and not a lot of electronic cams and valves that need to be accessible!
Painting everything is quite normal in Europe... Most of the showtrucks have deckplates and every thing painted... 2 color diamond plate looks amazing. Hoseracks, standing exhaust bullbars.
Definitely paint the deck plate blue. And would it be possible to mount the back piece on hinges and with lift cylinders? Would be sick to be able to lift it up to show the belly of the beast as well 😅
As long as you do not do anything that changes the fuel economy, drive ability or comfort in the cab, do whatever you like. Please remember to make the changes in a way that still make it possible for visitors to see all the good solutions that are on the truck originally. Just my 1,5 cents on the project. 😂
As long as it looks great then go for it, one thing I love is the Scania Griffon, maybe you can get that painting onto the back of the cab or either side.
@@Bruce_Wilson - One vision I got is to paint or decal thin yellow lines on each side of the cab, and maybe having bit of a crossing line at some point, creating a subtle Swedish flag effect.
I don't know what's worse, the 24/12v video or this one. I was excited about the project, but it hurts me more and more to see these absurd videos... I don't understand how you're going to show a truck if you cover its chassis, or even the rear wheel covers. Before, you could show the air bottles to raise the axles, the size of the differentials, axles, the robust chassis, how everything is arranged... but now nothing. This is nonsense.
At first I was afraid the truck would turn out a gaudy chrome clad mess. After hearing you guys brainstorm the route to take in this video I have a lot more faith in it. I'm still skeptical about the back plate, but I'm going to trust the process. One thing I dislike a little bit is that the cover plate is covering everything. I personally like to see the moving parts (like the airbags, maybe put a door in there :) ) but that's a personal preference. A fact however is that the cover plate is going to make it a lot harder to service, having to remove the fifth wheel every time you need to access something.
In Sweden we have them done up more than that, the deckplate and hubs look great, but I'm a bit sceptical about the rear light thing. Also some stacks would be cool
This European, at least, think most of the planned customisations sound good. 😊 The hubcaps will look nice, but personally I would have put a rounded bevel on the edge around the front plate, and not a sharp edge, to more go with the more rounded look of the truck. The V8 logo would also look good being a tad bigger. I think the deck plate should be painted blue, to contrast with the black lines of the frame and match the blue on the sides. Especially if the covers talked about in 10:46 are also painted blue. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is to put a center panel with the American style round tail lights on there. They would clash awfully with the rest of the aesthetic of the truck. Especially when keeping the original square tail lights as well. Instead, make the stainless steel back cover and center panel as suggested, but just have it a blank plate without the lights, or with a big V8 logo lasercut into it. I think that would look awesome. 🤘
How extremely disappointing!!! You take a piece of art and hillbilly it all up. Perhaps you can get a wrap for the sides of cab to make it look like there’s tobacco spit running down the sides. I still don’t understand how and why Scania would choose such a reprobate to represent their fine company in our great country, just amazing!!!!
I believe we should accept that this isn’t really a European model, but rather a U.S. version. After all, the potential customers aren’t Europeans-they’re American companies-and it makes far more sense for Scania to meet their expectations rather than force a European design onto them. If you consider other sectors, such as the automotive industry, you’ll find that certain cars simply look different, and that’s perfectly normal.
A great example is as you said the Auto industry, when Ford entered europe they didn't bring American designs constantly, after they established their slot in the market they made European designs for the European market. I understand the hate towards "Americanizing" the scania, but its trying to drum up AMERICAN customers. Can't give a steak to a turtle and expect them to cherish it like a lion would.
That's a downgrade of the Scania. Looks absolutely fake. That style was old 30 years ago. Should have used original Scania parts. A simple USA flag behind the front window would have been more than enough.
people are NOT happy lmao, do what you think looks the best but I just hope you remember that the gimmick of a euro truck in the us is to be a euro truck in the us
Thor would be happy if Americans persuaded Scania to start selling those trucks in the US. I believe this is the whole idea behind this series of videos. The possibility of Scania finally coming to the US.
@@TheBongReyes I think the point is to get visibility in Europe, to be quite honest. This is a "look at this American showing off Scania in the USA" series, and looking at the comments most of the viewers are from Europe.
@@tapio_m6861 Visibility in Europe? I don't think Scania needs to get any visibilty in Europe, not even if it is modified like an american truck. Bruce said it himself. This is a test truck. All data he get's from the truck he will sent in to government and hopes that they open up the sales of Scania in the US. If he doesn't succeed, well the truck will go to Mexico.
You're doing a great job so far. I honestly thought you were going to go full american on this thing but you have obviously listened to everyone and have a good grasp of the perfect americanised, euro concept. A bit of chrome in moderation will be great, hub covers work nicely to give an american touch whilst keeping it stylish, painted deck plate is perfect. Theres one thing that needs addressing though... For the love of god, please buy some metric tape measures for this project. It will save a shit ton of material and time.
I don't think some of the commenters realise that it's not the first Scania in the states, it's not the first new Scania in the states. I think this is exactly the reason why Scania has partnered with Bruce to get something different, a Scania that stands out on the US market for the US truckers, the intended audience is NOT European truckers. Have I personally been somewhat scared at what he might do? Yes a bit, but that is also a me problem, not a Bruce problem. I don't know what the US truckers want, so my opinion on the looks doesn't really matter.
@@Z4N7 Thats a pathetic reaction mate. Just because people hold a different opinion doesn't make them 'children'. I can't speak for anyone else but my abiding concern is that this truck is to demonstrate how advanced European rigs are against US built rigs. So keeping it factory (IMHO) is essential. Its like 10 years. By 'Americanising' it I think it will take attention away from the integrated engineering for example. Because people can't see it. If Scania start to sell in the USA then people can do what they like its their truck but because something is 'American' does not necessarily make it better.
Yes! It's the first new Scania in the USA! And it's there on a dispensation, because the land of freedom is not so free that they want to import cars that are not manufactured in a factory in the USA.
have you noticed how many time you have pointed to stuff when people was looking at the truck in the frame like the rear axel lift airbags? and now you are going to make that not possible to do anymore, i get it if you want to have it on there in order to put it on sometimes, but you should realy just most of the time have it off to show off the features
I like the way you've modified the truck so far. The bolt-on parts are easy to remove if you don't like it. I'm not sure about that deck plate unless it's easy to remove or open. Since it is a demonstration vehicle, it would be good for people to see inside the frame. Otherwise it looks good. A bit of criticism too. All the American tail lights you show scream CHEAP CHEAP, look what I got from Temu for 20 cents.
I'm not a fan of fixed deck plates, especially ones where you have to remove the 5th wheel to access any parts inside the chassis !, much better to have it hinged or easily removeable,.i think the rear would look good with a rear full width under run bar with a full width "beafy flap" (look them up in uk), come with logo's of your choice, jury's out on the hub covers, personally i think the outer ends would look nicer with the round dome stainless us style hub cover incorporated with that "biscuit tin" fabrication, look at some uk designed air/electrical mounted set ups, also look up scania rear perimiter light set ups, cheers ,.
I think blue cover would look better instead of black. Also i hope you ignore the weird noise in the comments, i know people want to see more eurostyle customizing, but i think seeing something different with this is gonna be cool and interesting, and i see plenty of sick looking scanias here in finland already.
Personally I want to see no customising at all because the idea behind all this is to demonstrate advanced European truck engineering compared to US trucks as it comes out of the factory. When they eventually get sold people can do what they like. Say someone doesn't like Bruce's ideas on customising? that will give a negative reaction. Let the truck stand on its own wheels ....
@@Xirque666 Yeah and we do too in the UK but that is irrelevant mate. What is it with people who cannot read why this truck is in the USA. Its not there to show off Yank chrome and Bs its there to show Yanks how utterly shite their trucks are compared to European trucks straight off the factory line. When they start selling Scanias in the USa buyers can do what they like but that is NOT the point.
I noticed that Scania truck owners sometimes use diamond patterned stainless steel for their deck plating, then they paint the plating the same color as the truck. After they've painted it, they sand over it to reveal a little of the stainless steel's diamond pattern. Then they clearcoat it, to finish off the look
Nice to see that the guy is capable of learning (partially). Studying the manual while taking a shit, that's exactly how it's done!😂👍 Unfortunately he hasn't gotten far enough yet to say whether the box is a DPF, SCR or flux-compensator.
Scania is about practicality. I'm fine with adding the deck plate as long as you *also* design a system to pop it open on the road. As a bonus, you could then also show the insides during the shows, too. Right now, it looks like adding and removing the deck requires 6 people which is totally opposite of anything practical.
I was honestly like a lot of the other comments not excited or for modifying it, but i do understand it has to appeal to the american market where i know modifying and customizing trucks is part of the trucking community over there. So i'm putting my negative nancy thoughts aside and just going with the flow, i've never ever seen a European truck modded out American style. It's on the whole other side of the planet, obviously culture and standards are gonna be different. Keep modifying it and make it appeal to the American market Bruce, after all, the possible future American customers can decide on their own if they want to keep it stock or modify it to their liking. You're just showing the market what is possible, rock on! This series has been amazing so far 🙂
Although here in France, at least, you see quite a few privately owned trucks being kitted out and some amazing paint jobs. Not that many but it does exist.
@DavidCorbett-ht4wf So stop watching, do you not think he has run all this past Scania? Or that even if getting the truck back is too much trouble (which it is) they couldn't just revoke his status with the company and make it illegal for him to drive? He didn't buy the truck, he is an agent for Scania and if you don't like modded trucks, why are you here? Keep it stock? Why? so you can look like you work for some soulless corporation where they may as well be a white goods. Any of the pretty/special trucks you see are modded.
@@dzzope you can mod the truck, just not trash it with this cheap looking stuff. Take a look at how these trucks are modded by someone that actually have a slightest taste. There are plenty of them in Europe
@TormodNicholasMortonTorgersen If you say you like every truck / mod in EU, your either a liar or haven't seen enough. Different people, different market, whole different culture means different tastes, just cos they aren't YOUR taste. As someone wiser than me would say, don't yuck someone's yum.
This comment section is crazy. Last time I checked it’s Bruce’s truck he can do what he wants and if he is trying to make this truck to appeal more to the US market then american styling is what he should do. Cause here in the USA we are loyal to our truck brands.
It's not Bruce's truck. It's a Scania demo truck that was supposed to show the Americans what EU trucks are like. Bruce doesn't own it, it's Scania's truck. And now he's gonna turn it into something a 5yo kid would draw up. And it's seriously fine how the Americans like their trucks. Now this is gonna look like something that's less Scania and more "well how can we botch all the neat things in this truck." This is akin to someone buying a Ferrari and slapping a Buick sticker on the hood.
Have you tried customizing a good Scania Mod in ETS2? Might help you with some ideas, there are mod packs available as well with water melon lights etc. But yes, paint the deck plate
Hey you do know the lights on the truck are 24volt bulbs! Also do scania know you removing rivets and moving stuff? That can avoid your warranty from scania
I personaly would make some see trough parts as example : to the factory paint mached hubs, the airthings that lift up the back axle and some other stuff that you wanna be showing on that truck. I think that would be a nice mix of optics and practicabilety for the goal. and i would keep the deck plate black.
I respect your enthusiasm but do feel the Scania should be kept almost as it left the factory .. a simple deck plate should be fitted allowing the chassis components still to be seen and allowing easier access should any maintenance or repair work be required whilst still providing a safe place to stand when coupling/uncoupling etc .. Extra chassis rear lights are unnecessary and again inhibit access to components .. I feel the hub covers may act like a bell and could increase radiated noise (trucks in Europe are subject to strict drive by noise regulations and much development goes into achieving this) .. I think you should leave the truck as near to stock as possible and on a minor note should try to use all metric fittings on any additional attachments. Given the risk of increased animal strikes in parts of your country I would endorse (as in Australia) front protection bars and perhaps additional lighting .. Really enjoying following this adventure .... Regards from England.
I thought the whole point was to showcase the Scania truck in its brand new from the factory look so everyone could see how they're built, not customise and cover everything so no one knows the difference between them and what they already know. All the customising should come in the future if the trucks are allowed to be imported.
You can twist apart the 24V and ABS connectors very easily so they can go though the "tombstone" without too big and ugly holes The European standard for truck bodybuilding says that components may be mounted anywhere above the upper flange of the chassis and to be bolted in the topmost row of holes. We also have lowered seat bases for the Scanias in Europe. They though require type-approval to be legal. Do the deckplate in chrome!
BTW I was at Scania service center in Stockholm, and there was V8 on a display. This engine has more chrome on a square inch than most of the American cars😂😂😂 and thank you for amazing videos👍
I think the deckplate would look cool in Blue. As for the lights, maybe use lights that are square or oval instead of round, because only the wheels are round on that truck and i think they would look better then roound lights..
When you look at videos of European truck shows, you can see way more bolder customization than that's planned for this truck. So if it's (still) looking good - that's ok.
I am no big fan of the hub-covers since the original scania hubs are very unique among all EU manufacturers and look good in my opinion. Other than that, although being european, i am not disappointed by the modifications, as long as you keep them pretty discreet. ;-) The Iowa Customs crew seem to be good craftsman who make quality parts. If potential american customers like it, the goal is achieved. "Whatever floats your boat."
Just as i was about to start furiously typing about the hubcab and bolts... Glad i'm not the only one who saw that those rivets or bolts would've ruined the look. Good idea about the painted plate at the back of the cut out.
I like most of the choices here but the hub covers look wrong on this thing 😂 Edit: you know what actually the V8 logo kinda saves it maybe the final look will be good
Hey bruce, if you plan to paint the deckplate, maybe you can have the four silver bars on the front-grille painted as well (maybe in gloss black)? These bars are the only silver parts on the outside of the truck and look a bit strange. There is also a option from factory for a darker front-grille, I am sure you have seen some in sweden?!
Re the deck plate, definitely blue, like the hub covers. The company though dealing with the European market, will find it easier to measure and cut using centimetres and millimetres. Glad the truck isn't going to be covered in chrome, yes its for the American market, but you need it to stand out. I do my best reading in the toilet as well. 😂🤣👍
Love the series, been looking at scania trucks from a far for a long time and I’ve been over the lack of innovation from Pete and kenworth etc. Eventually it would be sick to see a Scania farm truck in Ohio.
About the editing, I understand you might want to get these videos out ASAP, but would be nice if you could normalice the audio between different clipps and the music. Also I'd prefer if the fade to black cut was a bit faster, like 4x the speed. Otherwise great work
for god's sake!!! BRUCE Take a look at the Mighty Griffin Tuning Pack from ETS2 Pictures, videos or buy the game and experiment with what currently looks "GOOD" I personally prefer "diamond plates" made of stainless steel... even painted, but a "workplace" should be safe and not turn into a "slippery place" when it's wet, slippery or dirty and it prevents this "hollow rattling" because the plate is more stable and can therefore be thinner to save weight. We get these "hubcaps" with a brand logo as "mass-produced goods" and in sets they even match the design
The rear hubcaps would've been a lot cooler if they followed the shape of the unique Scania hubs instead of a massive cylinder. They're very uniquely shaped out of any other EU brand too
In Europe , many scania that are driven every day have been modified by their owners , not mention truck shows , and that does not shock lovers of the scania brand . So let's Bruce do what he thinks is best for the American market .
If you're taking the truck to truck shows and other places to show to the american audience, then why cover up all the interesting things inside the frame with the deck plate? How about making a deck plate that can tilt open, so it's still possible to showcase all the things in the frame.
Gloss black would look awesome on that deck plate. Maybe you could do a Bruce Wilson line of parts for Euro trucks and have Ylivoimala as a distributor? Great Scania content as always Bruce. Cheers Pat 🇦🇺

@@Rimrock300it cheapens the brand.
@@kalle5548 it really need front bullbar + top bar with lights tho
As a person from Sweden I think this is interesting. Seeing European Scanias everywhere. So now place some American love on that thing. Cheers!
THIS. If I was Scania, I'd take the truck back...
@@stanguay169 Worst of all, according to Scania, he was given permission for this, it makes no sense at all.
You,.....Stark 3855, you are so right. But Ha,....Bruce he don't even reed a manual, strong frame? what frame,...it is black and metal, yeah Bruce.
@@stanguay169 👍👍
The hard core of Scania drivers in Sweden don't drive around with regular trucks. They are extremely customised with paint, lights, Michelin man etc. I'm just waiting for Bruce to get a Scania v8 tattoo😂 Keep up the good work 👍🇸🇪

Yes! you better understand that American trucks are hopeless!
To make the Americans like it😂
@@Bruce_Wilson judging by comments elsewhere, plus in person reviews within your other videos - you don't need to make it American to make your fellow countrymen like it. I'm no trucker, not by any stretch, but you can tell Scania offer so much more overall.
However, I appreciate the desire to personalise. As shown in part by the show you visited in Scandinavia no less.
@@Bruce_Wilson get back to reading and dont forget to wash your hands 🤣
paint it like a big american flag then 😄
@@Bruce_Wilson They seemed to like it as it was. Remember it isn't your truck it's Scania's
Yes! That would be the way to go. Bruce still gets his deck plate, and the audience will still be able to see what's inside the frame.
Well, perhaps because they don't do this over there.
Show off what? A bunch sensors and lines and clutter of shit? Why do u wanna see any of that ugly clutter of shit
That's the plan!
As a European, I am crying, but I understand that you need to connect with US potential future customers, so this is a good thing
Dont agree the whole Scania brand is individual. Thats the point of buying a Scania- you DONT want American!!
I'm actually positive to these changes, there are many more wild things done in Europe. But I hope he keeps the side panels original.
. Eeerm. Airbrushed trucks with deck plates here too in the UK.
@@johnchristmas7522 You do if you live in the US
In Sweden we have them done up more than that, the deckplate and hubs look great, but I'm a bit sceptical about the rear light thing. Also some stacks would be cool
This European, at least, think most of the planned customisations sound good. 😊
The hubcaps will look nice, but personally I would have put a rounded bevel on the edge around the front plate, and not a sharp edge, to more go with the more rounded look of the truck.
Scania "Hill Billy addition" 😂 you're right👍
I believe we should accept that this isn’t really a European model, but rather a U.S.
A simple USA flag behind the front window would have been more than enough.
people are NOT happy lmao, do what you think looks the best but I just hope you remember that the gimmick of a euro truck in the us is to be a euro truck in the us
Exactly! 😉
Ur pfp is super cute!
I don't think Bruce quite understands how many euro viewers he has, he will probably lose those.
Wooooow he CAN read😂!
😂😂😂 The manual!
Yeah, I liked that part!
The Swedish god Thor, will not be happy.
That is because sadly most people in the comments are not reasonable and they react like a little children.
Hey Bruce. Reach out to a dude in England who has the “Trucker Tim” UA-cam channel. He’s a Scania nut and he speaks English if you have questions.
Well said my man👍👍👍👍👍
Scania has it own hub covers it has it logo it is beautiful
The manual! 😂👌
This feels like "pimping" your brand new iPone into a wallet case
Why not put stacks on it? A lot of Scanias here in norway have aftermarked stacks mounted.
Checker plate as deck plate. Paint it then grind all high spots Sp the metal will be visible then clear coating on top :)
@@1chishThe trucks has always been customized in the Nordics with nice paint joba, lights, horns, cow bars, deck plates, etc.
Watch Custom Made Trucks Holland and learn about the small details, that makes a difference in building up a truck.
Nice to see that the guy is capable of learning (partially). Studying the manual while taking a shit, that's exactly how it's done!😂👍 Unfortunately he hasn't gotten far enough yet to say whether the box is a DPF, SCR or flux-compensator.
Why not just manual swap it...for that authentic American feel😂
You couldnt leave it alone Bruce you said you was going to touch it it post to be a show truck for scanis here in the USA
YES paint the deck plate blue it will look a lot nicer
Yep, +1 for Team Blue.
Blue with a yellow cross on it👍
Scania is about practicality. I'm fine with adding the deck plate as long as you *also* design a system to pop it open on the road. As a bonus, you could then also show the insides during the shows, too. Right now, it looks like adding and removing the deck requires 6 people which is totally opposite of anything practical.
European powerhouse in usa style...
I like it 💪🏼

1982 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue - the idea of what luxury means to many Americans. None of this should be surprising.
I just pray he doesn't go waaaay overboard and starts riping things apart. Adding touches is nice though.

@ if you fancy the 70s look, why get a modern truck that have nothing that mach the old-school style. It just øook dated and tacky, Scania by Temu
I think Scania could get really great feedback, input and ideas from this adventure 🇸🇪🇺🇲
Scania may well remotely disable the truck for embarrassing the brand.
Why buy a truck like a scania then go and screw it up. Can't leave a truck original why Bruce?
Hey you do know the lights on the truck are 24volt bulbs! Also do scania know you removing rivets and moving stuff? That can avoid your warranty from scania
You should add a turkish wolf whistle. It’s fun to whistle on people and it’s a pretty common addon to mount in europe 😃
I personaly would make some see trough parts as example : to the factory paint mached hubs, the airthings that lift up the back axle and some other stuff that you wanna be showing on that truck. I think that would be a nice mix of optics and practicabilety for the goal. and i would keep the deck plate black.
You are talking about the Griffin logo. How about a Griffin logo with red lights in the rear light board!
Maybe take a look at stavros in Ireland
I thought the whole point was to showcase the Scania truck in its brand new from the factory look so everyone could see how they're built, not customise and cover everything so no one knows the difference between them and what they already know. All the customising should come in the future if the trucks are allowed to be imported.
Everything blue, exact paint match 👌 wheel cover look good, maybe the v8 could be a touch bigger
You can twist apart the 24V and ABS connectors very easily so they can go though the "tombstone" without too big and ugly holes
The European standard for truck bodybuilding says that components may be mounted anywhere above the upper flange of the chassis and to be bolted in the topmost row of holes.
Blue diamond plate with silver edges/tops would look slick.

Other than that, although being european, i am not disappointed by the modifications, as long as you keep them pretty discreet. ;-)
The Iowa Customs crew seem to be good craftsman who make quality parts.
If potential american customers like it, the goal is achieved. "Whatever floats your boat."
It looks like they really know what they are doing, the examples, even if not my cup of tea are exquisite craftmanship!
Since you are putting hub caps on, i wonder if a self-leveling hub cap like RR have but with the griffin or the V8 would be cool.
Why would you cover those durability alloy wheels plus you will make those hubs heat up.
These hubs will be just fine my friend
Air circulation is very important. A mistake but we’ll see.
@Bruce_Wilson but the durabright alloys what makes the scania stand out
@ yup
Just as i was about to start furiously typing about the hubcab and bolts... Glad i'm not the only one who saw that those rivets or bolts would've ruined the look. Good idea about the painted plate at the back of the cut out.
I like most of the choices here but the hub covers look wrong on this thing 😂
Edit: you know what actually the V8 logo kinda saves it maybe the final look will be good
Curious what the finished result will be on the hubcaps. At the moment it looks like an empty paint tin in there 😅
Hey bruce, if you plan to paint the deckplate, maybe you can have the four silver bars on the front-grille painted as well (maybe in gloss black)?
Otherwise great work
powder coat the hub cover body clor and leave the v8 stailes

I personally prefer "diamond plates" made of stainless steel...
even painted, but a "workplace" should be safe and not turn into a "slippery place" when it's wet, slippery or dirty and it prevents this "hollow rattling" because the plate is more stable and can therefore be thinner to save weight.

How about making a deck plate that can tilt open, so it's still possible to showcase all the things in the frame.
thats hub cover looks like for me: you put the grandma's pot there :) funny how the sound is definetly like a pot :)
Noo bro. you are ruining it. :,(
