I've been waiting since last week for this podcast. So, now to watch this since school is out.
The decision making process that comes with a blu-ray library can turn into a tedious process, when it shouldn't be. But it is an amazing feeling. It's like truly owning the films, in the highest quality available for consumer consumption. Truly akin to a library of wonderful books, and they all (can) include truly important pieces of storytelling.

I want to have a bigger bluray collection, but just can't decide which ones to buy, their so many great movies want, but then it gets very expensive...
MovieAce There's always deals and sales, whether in-store or online. You should never have to pay more than $20 for a Blu-ray, unless it's something unique, like a Criterion edition. Unless you absolutely have to have a new movie upon day one release, it's pretty easy to get affordable prices.

I just got to watch this podcast, great job guys! I haven't seen Paradise Lost, but Disturbed released a song a couple of years ago about the West Memphis Three called "3" that got me interested in their story as well. It's really hard for me to figure out what happened as well. It's all so very intriguing!

In regards to physical media, not everyone has access to a good computer and internet, every walmart and best buy stores I go to, people are always checking out and buying dvds. Also, props to Jason for listening to Megadeth :D My fav metal band.

The Witch and Don't Breathe are two of the best movies this year and are so much better than the typical horror garbage we get every year....I think you simply just hate horror, John.

The witch felt more like a comedy than a horror. The antagonist was a goat? oh come on! I also agree with john that the audio/sound mixing was horrific
I dont consider Dont Breathe horror, its more of a suspense film for me. When I think of horror I think of Halloween, The Ring, Nightmare on Elm Street.
Pure horror, The Witch was a bit slow at times though

My parents still watch their vhs tapes. They own at least 300 of em and don't want to replace every movie. Plus many of the old movies which they recorded from tv aren't even available as dvds or bluerays.
John & Jason, would you rather be forced to wait to see the Justice League film when it comes out on BluRay or have JarJar Binks as your roommate for a week?

47:00 The digital codes that come with blu rays don't download anything, you go to vudu and put in the code (ignore the directions, just type the code in on vudu) and it basically gives you the movie for free and you own it and you stream it like netflix, no downloading, I watch vudu right on my xbox one just as much as netflix.

Hey John! Big fan here, but with digital copies you do not have to download the movie to your computer or gaming system. Like Netflix or Amazon Prime you can stream the movie you own on VUDU or Flixster. I know you like physical copies of blurays, but hey streaming movies you own sounds awesome!
Blue Rays will be around for a while period. Because its still a way for studios to make money. I love to have a actually solid blue ray in my hand. Plus i still dont you can beat the quality of a true 1080p blue ray. I dont have 4k yet.

While I do agree with John and Jason's statements regarding DVD's, I still have a nostalgic feeling about them, because as someone who's been collecting for years, they take up a large amount of my library. (also, I don't have the time or money to replace them all with Blu-ray)
But, the difference in picture quality is extremely noticeable, and it's always sad when people can't tell the difference.

I completely agree with Jason on the aspect ratio! I've been waiting for so long for someone to comment on that because it really bugged me. You have this fantastic cinematography with great wide shots of the landscape which is ruined by these black bars at the side of the screen making it feel much less epic and not as great looking. Plus, the aspect ratio is not period specific really as they didn't have films in 1600s!
John, do you have a PS4 and/or an X-Bone? I am asking because if you do I will send you some games for them.

I like the Witch because I think the titular character is Thomasin, the film is about her journey of being with a hypocritical family that wants to marry her off, and how turning to Satan was just easier. The Justification of why a witch would become just that.
Deathstroke will deliver a more visceral and grounded fight to Batman and like John said Deathstroke goes in for the kill so provided he has his reasons I think this could be an amazing solo film

I'll take Jason over Stuckman any day. Stuckman on his own is fine, but when Stuckman is with others he is very boring, dry, and thinks he is always 100% right about everything. Not shit talking, but why did Jason make it seem like they took a long time to announce Stranger Things season 2?
That stormtrooper... seems a little short? - or... maybe... the people in Star Wars are really that short? Maybe they are even shorter? Maybe they are tiny? I mean think about it - the death star... like materials could really withstand the stress of something man made being the size of a moon.... I'm sure Ben Konobi did say "that's no moon.." - he didn't have time to say "....that's no moon... becuase [I can't be bothered to repeat the reason why - I just said it in this comment]". That's why the force works - because they are all so small - they used static electricity to overcome gravity because they are so light... that's all the force is - all they had to to was run a comb through their hair a few times and hey presto they're a Jedi. Edit; LOL - Star Wars could be happening in your own living room - the death star could be smaller than a grain of dust floating in the air... while you're just watching TV, there could be this tiny micro epic Star Wars battle going on inches from your head... a tiny little puff happens with the destruction of the Death Star and you don't even notice! Dust.... it's all just dust in the wind... all we are is dust in the wind...

I liked Morgan's cast especially Kate Mara, Rose Leslie, and Anya Taylor Joy from Witch. But the movie is not memorable because there is nothing new to the Artificial human genre.
Jason really brings this down, definitely not earning the crazy title.

Honestly, I don't think Flick really likes Stuckmann and I'm willing to be hes happy he moved further away.
