Toyota Crown JZS171 Coilover install

Quick video documenting my succesful(ish) attempt to install coilovers for the first time.
in theory the process should be very much the same on lexus is200 as they both share the suspension bits.
sorry for a few camera glitches, believe me or not but it was overheating!

It's crazy how the suspension is the exact same way on a 2nd gen gs300. I'm not surprised, but never knew they were almost identical.

Gs300 May be similar looking but it is not the same.. few things are bigger on gs300 from my experience, arb bushes for e.g. this is all is200/300 underneath.

@Strusse Not saying everything is the same, but some parts are definitely interchangeable. Toyota/ Lexus even says that. Look up Toyota/Lexus/Scion interchangeable parts, you'll learn a lot.

Aside from the suspension, are the control arms and links the same as the is200 as well?

They’re the same 👍 I’ve replaced the lower arms, upper arms and drop links all is200 parts.

Hi, no idea to be honest! I'm thinking no simply because 171 has shared suspension with lexus is200/300 which are newer than 151..

You mean wheel sizes? They're 18x9.5 et43 and 18x8.5 et43.
