Yes, stage 1 will be 420-440. Once it hooks up the M140 is absolutely brutal and a real sleeper compared to the more shouty hot hatches. The 3.0 6cyl B58 is an absolute masterpiece
420bhp is about absolute maximum for a remapped B58, don't believe the over inflated figures some tuners are claiming, it's bs.
Mines 455bhp/634nm with a 200 cell cat, oh and the XHP3 makes a difference too :-))
M140i shadow edition = the only car you'd ever need.
The torque from factory these cars produce is insane. B58 is a beast

@@B58Kizy Not that hard. Ive got a manual with 6 gears and I get that on motorways if I drive at or under the speed limit. Unless There is a steep hill. Most people have auto's with 8 gears which are more adept at cruising on motorways.

LOVE mine ..... As a daily driver, I can't think of a better car. It's comfortable in comfort mode with the adaptive dampers, but in full traction off mode it is a wild beast.
Mines 455bhp/634nm and it's bloody quick.

I'm keeping my M140i even if a new M3 is coming in few weeks. The B58 is a gorgeous 6 cylinders engine fitted on a "small" hatchback. "big engine/small car) the last of an era.
You're looking more towards 430bhp from a stage 1 B58. Phenomenal engine.
100 percent. Mine is running 448bhp with a custom map and ppf delete. 430 is pretty much bang on for just a stage 1
Mine made 434bhp on stage 1
my MHD stage 1 + Stage 3 gearbox just dyno'd at 446bhp.

Having owned a M235 and also a M140 l agree completely they are great cars - it’s probably (M140) one of the only cars l would buy again ! Great vid 👍

As an owner of an M140 (for the 2nd time) l really enjoyed this video and was quite shocked at its draggy times but as a few are saying it will be more 420 - 450 bhp. Another great video - now where is my nearest tuners !! 😂😂

Gr8 vid m8, I have an old 58 plate Astra VXR which is sitting at 250BHP which I'm Modding, but a chap I know has a Stage 2 M140 with Anti Lag which runs 470 he said. Have never felt so much g force in a car proper scary fast - Loved it. Look better than A35s imo as well 🤷
Been thinking of getting one of these for a while now, and after watching this, its made my mind up.
Couldn't recommend one enough there a proper riot to drive.

Normally stage 1 you are looking between 410 - 430 bhp. Stage 2 can get up to 470 ish bhp. A lad now has managed to get 1,000whp with the B58 on an M240i. Such a capable car and an unreal bargain considering the money.
I had a f80 M3 a 135 manual a 140 shadow amd currently have the M2 Comp, value for money you ain't beating a 140 I love them

I wasn’t sure whether to get a Golf R, S3 or M140i last year. Ended up going for the 140 as it seemed more lively and fun. It’s going to Lichfield next week for stage 2 remap and exhaust. Can’t flipping well wait!

Iv managed a 4 second 20 to 70 in my stage 1 m140i struggling to get better but I think it was the road surface. It’s so addictive though 😂

An old mate of mine picked up one just shy of 480 bhp. I knew it was going to be quick but fuck me when he took me for a blast down the bypass on to the motorway I was in shock how quick it climbed to 130 from 30. He had a 500+bhp ep3 turbo before that.. the beamer pissed all over it in the way it delivered and put the power down.

Got an M240i because the OG M2 was out of my reach and I have no regrets cos the B58 is just built different bro. Might have to go stage 1 as well, cos the engines really seem to wake up.
If you go down the tuning route, just get a 200 cell cat (I went for a Wagner), and then remap, also get the XHP3 gearbox software if you have the ZF8 like me.
It is stupid fast then. Mines 455bhp/634nm (M140i though), mate you will not regret it.

@@carmad1287 custom all day long for me. Car was running knock when mine was mapped. If i had used ots chances are it would have popped.
Thats fucking mental, the b58 is so strong especially stage 1, stock they are like 370 even though bmw says 340, with stage 1 they are about 420/430, and the bloody fast zf8 results in 3.9 sec :O It beats stage 2 m2 thats alot more expensive. Wow. Thats value for money.

Power, gearbox, light weight = 3.9 0-60. Not my favourite hot hatch though, that accolade goes to the mk 2 focus rs. With 450 bhp.👍

I have a jb+ box fitted gives it extra 4.5 psi boost car feels rapid have no idea what bhp I’m running tho

Stage 1 remap is atleast 415/420hp on the M140, love mine!

A few older hot hatch’s would do good in dragy times , get a few old fast fords.ect!! On your channel
The old hatches would struggle against a bog standard rep mobile, let alone modern hat hatches.
Partly wish i went for one of these instead of M2, they are easier to live with i think and the B58 is a awesome lump. But M2 has the edge in certain areas
No LSD, not got the M2 refinements for track use..
I would love an M2, I would LOVE one.
I couldn't afford one though, so settled for an M140i.
After tuning mods it's 455bhp/634nm and it is like the ultimate sleeper. 95% of ppl just think it's a 118i m sport, but it gaps RS3's and A45S's once I'm rolling, incredible little hatch.

M140i is awesome, totally underrated
Very much overrated without the right suspension setup and an LSD.
Totally disagree, they are not talked about a lot at all, and definitely don’t need to change the suspension. LSD yes

Coming to the end of my m140i experience after two and a half years its been a great car, no problems what so ever.
I'll look back at this car with a lot of love shame lockdown ruined any travel plans for last year or so.
One thing it lacked was that LSD that it always needed.
For me that much performance in a hatchback really never got used as driving mostly in and around towns and city centres and weather conditions never allow its full potential to be used
