I just acquired a 1972 cb550 and need to rebuild the top end. Im kind of nervous because I've never broke down a bike like this but your channel is giving me some positive reinforcement!
You got it, just take your time, understand torque specs, make sure your cam timing is correct, piston directions, piston ring spacing and orientation, get a valve job done, understand how to set your cam chain adjustment and your ignition timing.
Why am I just now finding this channel? My account/channel is all about motorcycle builds and travel. You Tube messed up, lol. SO glad I now know. SUBCRIBED.
early 400f rearsets basically bolt on....yes, Honda 4 cyl 400cc early US spec years....befor they gave up and put American dang cowboy bars and cowboy footpegs, etc. Sweet site and build quality. cheers
Right, I felt the same way. I dig your style! I have an affinity for Hondas of this era as well. Can you tell me what design software you use? Or if you've covered it in one of your videos? Keep up the brilliant work! (1st motorcycle was a roached CB550 with a mermaid painted on the tank)...
Hi Kyle! Just found your channel yesterday and got hooked right away👏 Really beautifully filmed and a lot of great videos/content. Keep it up!👍 Looking forward to following your journey and like many says, you will soon have a hell of a lot more followers! Finally someone who knows how to edit their videos well and make awesome bike content😆
Hi Kyle. Really cool build. I'm a motorcycle technician and want to eventually do something similar. What design software did you use, and how did you learn to use it? Are you an engineer? Thanks.
Thank you! I’m shooting on a beat up Panasonic GH4 with a Meta Bones Speed Booster lol. I’ve been looking at the new A7 or the Canon R5 but they’re pricey 💸👊🏻
@@kylevara brilliant!! Looks great!! I am actually a Gh4 shooter which I still use and upgraded to an S5 full frame last year. But wow, footage like that out of the gh4 super inspiring. Keep building and I'll be sure to keep watch ING and Sharing!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽👊🏽🎬📽🎞🏍
Also want to mention that your builds are some of the most inspiring I've seen out there!! The amber builds are incredibly beautiful and have been inspired for years by the beauty of your bikes!!
Thanks man, when I am ready to get it painted or powder coated I will go to a 400 grit. If it's getting powder coated then I really want to make sure none of the sanding or grinding marks are there because I won't use a skim coat or filler. I have made the mistake of thinking it was smooth enough and the PC would cover it. 400 grit is a safe bet.
Thanks Vincent, I do build bike for customers but recently have switched gears trying to build this channel. I will get back to client builds eventually!
@@kylevara Thanks Kyle! I’ll continue to check in with you to see if we can get together on a build. What part of the country are you in? Great work, very artistic and detail driven!
Congrats on how much work you put into this videos. You are a really skilled man
till 2024 you will get million subs love from INDIA❤❤❤❤❤❤
Always looking for ideas. I enjoyed the episode!
I had a 74 my uncle left me and I took off the long forks and banana seat so I made it all original. Mackey paint job from 78 looks awesome!
Great show Kyle! Can't wait to see all the episodes.

the first part of the video reminds me of The World's Fastest Indian
Hey Kyle, i've been following your builds for the last 3-4 years! What grit did you use to finish sand the frame?

Great work! Do you build bikes for sale? Thanks, V
