Bypass Drone 120m Limit With This Trick | 4K Panoramic Guide

  • With drones being limited to 120m (400 feet), it can be hard to fit everything in the frame.
This short guide will explain how to capture the shots, which app can help and how to edit.
I captured the photos with a DJI Mini 3 Pro, but any drone that can look straight down will work.

It’s always nice to listen to a successful photographer. I’ve been a photographer for a very long time and now I’m shooting real estate and it’s devastating. I could probably should just about anything because I’ve got experience shooting everything but I am stuck in a shit rut.

@realestatephotovideoshawns1177 I wouldn't consider myself successful right now. Most of my press work was between 2014 and 2020. The industry has no money now, and I think local press outlets will collapse soon. I used to work 3/4 stories a day. Now it's 1 or 2 a month. Part of the reason why I started a YT channel is because I was stuck for a creative direction.
I even applied for a real estate job myself last month. Its important to remember what you have achieved over your WHOLE career, not just recently. There are photographers that excel with a single shot and others who are consistent over many years.
I think the most important thing is to be happy with your creations, not the invoice. It's part of your soul to create.
But we all have bills to pay. I wish you all the best👊

Well done on the video, simple but useful techniques to use while working within the rules. Love the Barge Race view featured at the end of the video. I also enjoy watching the barge and SMACK racing. Nice to see others like the top down view of the deck and the fervently coiled rope. Feel sure this is done for drone pilots

Good vid, nicely presented and quite informative 👍 I find the 'deghost' feature in LR's panorama merge can help resolve movement discrepancies in the resulting image, but sometimes a little retouch in PS is needed for the final tidy up. Looking forward to your HDR vid in the near future.

With the original Mini3Pro, you were able to make this effect using the 3x3 panorama mode if you started from a shot looking directly down(90degrees). However, after a firmware change the 3x3 panorama changes the gimbal angle to start at 0degrees. You could still do on the Mavic 3 but I haven’t checked with the Mavic3Pro - must give it a try. It does have some bending at the edges but with a crop it was very effective.

Construction and surveying use other photogrammetry programs to create an even better aerial. They also automate the flight and capture process. Many are expensive and are fussy as to which drones they work with but for example "maps made easy" is a pretty low entry of use and works with many lower end consumer drones although some of the newest DJI drones are not able to be used sadly. My Mavic Air 2 works.

How to fly higher than 120m:
Step 1: Set the max altitude above 120m.
Step 2: Fly to an altitude above 120m.
Congratulations, your drone is now flying higher than 120m above its starting point.

      How to break the law:
1: Set your max height above 120m
      2: Fly above 120m

    • @disco.jellyfish
      @disco.jellyfish Місяць тому +1

@@chrischarlescook Absolutely - but you will be above 120m. You just gotta look out for those other very low flying aircraft and dont go abuve 120m if any are around and get down asap if you decide to go above 120m and one of them appear.
After all - the law restricts height over ground. The drone restricts height over starting point. So if you are on a mountain, go to 120m and fly off to the side, you are already breaking the law.
If you are next to a mountin and fly up to 1000m right ontop of the mountain, you are not breaking the law.
