Thanks man!! Watched this right before I swapped mine and made the job simple... Found my kit on eBay, it was like $7 and the o-rings fit perfectly. Figured Id pass that info on.
If you have an 87-90 Jeep 4.0 Renix, go to the hardware store and pick up bulk O-rings sizes 117, 219, and 230. Should be $3 or less and you don't need to buy extras! My local Co-op hardware store carries them all.
Great videos bud!!been on the fence about an xj for a few months, after finding this channel I am on the hunt!! They are all rusted out in ohio though...I think I am gonna fly to Atlanta and drive a nice rust free unit home!!
Hey man, I'm about to do my swap of these O-rings, did you have any leaks from that O-ring kit as opposed to buying the correct sizes? I just bought a kit from Napa but I don't know if I should use them or not because of the sizes (its the same kit you have). Just don't want to cause any major issues
As always... Great video and very useful info. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. My two XJs do not have an oil filter adapter, but very much enjoyed the video. Keep on keeping on brother. OlllllllO
Well!!.... I stand corrected, my XJ's do have adapters on the oil filters. Just never noticed it before, lol. Your videos is teaching me a lot, thank you. This is why I love your videos. Keep on keeping on bro. OlllllllO
Cause I have the older style cherokee with the filter facing up and it gets messy when doing an oil change plusieurs I have to clean out the old oil within the adapter after taking out the filter, my only concern is if it would damage a 26 year old seal that have leaked yet
