    This is the *F.O.R.D.* sound.
Wish I’d learned about it earlier, as I would have tried to get one!

I like how driver ignored the road construction signs!
I got a sn95 cobra headers and dumps behind the basonie exhaust. Mustangs have one of my favorite sounds!

Thats the thing mopar and GM guys don't understand about ford. they were made for that 3500+ rpm range. and some engines (351C, boss 302, 289 Hipo, boss 351), were made for 4000+ rpm. I love the sound of them. thats why I own Fords only. they look better IMO too. but I can't deny the sound and love for Pontiacs and Buicks. My grandfather bought a 65 rivera GS New, and I owned a 67 Firebird as my first car.

That actually sounds more like 8 or 9 k.

Is it just me or is Mr357Cleeland riding the clutch? I was taught not to do that, but maybe it's different if you're racing?

7k is not a big deal. Did it all at 7k with a 402 Big Block chevy in ‘75. Dumped the clutch off the line at 7k and shifted at 7k, yeah all we had was muncie 4 speeds back then. Over a year of weekends at the drags and ended up selling it to a friend who needed an engine for his ‘66 chevelle.

B.S. If you dumped a “402” Chevrolet at “7k” the detonation would be catastrophic. That is just ignorant talk. Everyone knows the BBC are prone to scattering internals. They are just…..inferior.

yeah I get sick of the "289s love to rev". A factory 289 is a dog of a motor. crap heads. huge peak power number of 4800rpm. for some extra cash you could get the HiPo which gave you HHHUUUGGGEE 46hp increase and It did it at 6000rpm. Which doesnt' show that it loves to rev but rather it was so inefficeint that It needs 6000rpm to make medicore power. I love windsors but they aren't some magical wonder machine.
