    8:20 has opened my eyes, I had no idea how people were able to flawlessly place rectangular partitions at multiple heights. Rotating to save their current height, then floating them even higher and them snapping back is genius.

    I'd love to see a similar tutorial related to the small house stairwell. Most of the small houses have voids under the stairs which means you can't glitch a bed under them. I'd like to see some tips and tricks for floating them in small houses.

    As a soon to be new player, I’m just looking at these houses knowing how hard it is to get plots of land nowadays. Still the level of creativity in designing these houses is incredible! Great work to all involved!

    Thank you so much for this tutorial, it's awesome, I am still having a stroke trying to figure it out how to fill the gaps, I would love to see a second part where you show us exactly how to do so, for example in the minute 31:33 the gap between both white rectangular partition seems to be covered very smoothly; Would you be so kind to show us how that part is done? VERY PLEASE (puppy eyes)

      Probably more rectangular partitions until the gap is filled. I sometimes also double or triple up on rectangular partitions if I only want to cover a small gap.

    This has been such a massively huge help! Thank you so much for this - I can't wait to finally start floating panels and making my house actually look homely. :D If I may ask though, the items on the bench at the very end of the video - I think the handbag is from the leather bags, but may I ask where that hat is from?

    This remotivates to finally finish decorating my house thank you! For the lowered ceilings along the stairs you have to use bed meta to avoid clipping issues right? As a complete amateur at this, the frustration of trying to levitate around 6 beds evenly has been super rough. Any tips?

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  3 роки тому

      You will need to bed meta if you want your camera to stop at your ceiling. I either storage placing your beds atop the stairs, or if you want to really ensure maximum coverage, you will have to float the beds from the basement! But I think placing on stairs, and using walls and wooden beams and lofts is doable!

      Not sure if you found your answer yet, but what i do to get under the stairs in a small plot is doing the futon trick shown in this video. Then once ive gotten slightly underneath, i place another bed (cuz you cant fully get underneath) from the storage and place it right underneath the stairs. Then tele out of there using the “front door tele” and then /doze in the middle of the stairs, then youll sink right in (just gotta hit the right spot) also, make sure to storage the futon

  • @eveocate

    Thank you so much for this, seeing skill and patience made accessible like this feels like watching magicians deconstruct a trick. It becomes comprehensible but I know it'll take oodles of effort to even roughly emulate it. xD
    Also, if it isn't intrusive, could I ask what the panelling @31:33 is? Maybe Disorganised Wardrobe? I'm terrible at recognising items outside of using them.

    i am having a really hard time with the banister in the middle of the stairs. The partitions don't want to smooth . Could you make a seperate video just for that part . The banister hiding between the main and top floor. It was skipped in this video and i could use the visual reference to help me figure it out ( goblet banisters are the worse)

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  3 роки тому +1

      We can work on it, for sure! Often the choice of filling the inside of the walls is left to the designer's ideas for the home, but we can show how to do it with just partitions.

    I seem to be having trouble even glitching the futon in far enough to register as she is asleep on it T_T One day lol

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  2 роки тому +1

      If you're having trouble going in from the side, you can go in from below! Go into the basement and make an "elevator" and place a tabletop item near the ceiling where the empty hole under the staircase would be, and then jump into it. It will teleport your character to the next floor

    can you explain how to glitch to the bottom of the stairs? Or make a video guide on it?

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  11 місяців тому

      We show how to at the start of the video. For more context though, you need to stand very close to the side of the stairs and storage drop a bed as close as you can - we use the futon in this vid. Then rotate it so the top of the bed is under the stairs. Doze on it, then get out of the bed. If you're far enough under the stairs you'll get out under the stair case. If not, you may have to try storage dropping it closer and sometimes being in first person an help too. It can take a bit of practice since you need to get the bed just right, but in theory, it's pretty simple! Hope this helps!

    How to place the wall on purple like that at : 29:06

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  2 роки тому

      This is done with one of the storage placement glitches! You can pick up an item that has been dropped directly from storage, and then place it on something you normally can’t place furniture on, . like on stairs, railings, or window placement onto free standing partitions.
      By Default, the keybind for the subcommand menu on PC will always be NUM * and Console players will use Square. Go into System > Keybind > System > Display Subcommands to change the keybind if you want something different.
      Then follow just a couple of steps:
      Enable Display Preview in the item list
      Make sure the furniture item is in your Storage
      Pick up and place the item using your subcommand keybind, then your confirm keybind.

  • @KarenCooley
    @KarenCooley Рік тому

    Hmm, the doze emote won't on the bed when it's partially in the wall. I tested it - when moved into the room, /doze has my character sleep on the bed. When it's half under the stairs, /doze just causes the character to stand, swaying and snoring. :(

    ff14 - Have just finished doing the Smooth Walled Staircase but now at a loss on how to fill the gap in the bend going up from the middle to the top floor....I cant seem to find anything narrow enough and tall enough ...also would i be able to glitch from storage or must I lift up the same way as I did with the walls.....would be so very grateful for some ideas?

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  9 місяців тому

      Congrats on finishing it! It's a lot of steps. The easiest thing to fill it with is more of the same partitions, but it'll be a small pain to do it once you're done. You'd just use the same method as you did the rest, getting under the stairs and floating it up etc. Depending on how wide you made it, you could also try the Staircase Bookshelf to add a something a little different and some more texture to the build. You could add Small Imitation windows lined up vertically if you wanted to add some light too!

    Thanks! This has been a struggle for me. Question though, how do you rotate the walls you get from the storage to place on the stairs? Is there a way to "rotate" it before "placing" it? You know how you have to place the walls from the storage to get it to stay in purple places but I cant seem to align it how i want to before placing it and have them all be a straight line next to eachother. Idk if this makes sense... but I use PC and i tried rotating stuff out of my storage and it never works. I have to make my character face the direction i want the wall and i never get all the walls to be the same ^^"

      They are usually stage panels or white rectangular partitions and the method is the same as floating over a railing. You'll place them underneath, or on the stairs, and you'll lift
