Came to Lanzarote from the UK especially to spectate on the Isla de Los Volcanes so obviously very upset it didnt take place. The Cabildo and the organisers/FALP need to work together to ensure that other events such as the Isla de Lanzarote rally in November can take place without politics getting in the way. I hope the SCER will consider a return but it looks doubtful I guess. Motorsport can no longer ignore its impact on the environment however on an island that is due to open the biggest hotel in Spain and allow buggy safaris on the same tracks as the rally would have used then this move just looked like lazy political posturing. Choose education not confrontation. Hope a solution is found soon as rally drivers and fans in Lanzarote deserve better.
