      What i find very strange is that most people interviewed have wonderful child memories. And the families dinamics seem to work quite well. Só I believe that leaving these memories behind or this strong comunity Life behind must more than dificulta, it seems impossíble! How do these women feel for their children when they have just one or two kids while they were raised in huge families? Also no one ever talks about financial problems i Wonder where all this money came from!

      Breaks my heart that she feels guilty for being part of this nightmare. As if she had any choice. Tears. For what it's worth, given the horrific circumstances, I absolutely would have felt a tiny bit better if my children were to be supervised by someone so gentle and kind. At least I would have known they would be loved and cared for in my absence.

    To me this sounds like a weak, insecure
    man, afraid of women, who sees himself incapable and unwilling to have a real, adult relationship with women. Who doesn't want the inconvenience of women having requirements, demanding their rights, demanding the man to do his share of responsibilities and tasks of an equal relationship. It's so much easier for him to keep women quiet, "sweet" and obeying. He doesn't have to deal with argueing, dissatisfied, even angry women. The women have to do all the work in literally every single aspect of this unequal relationship.

      No sane women could, but she was a child. A child, that grew up with a warped normality. If your parents taught you that the sky was green and all your family reitterated that, indeed, the sky was green, you would be like "Well, green it is!" and be shocked in your late teens or early twenties to find out, it was not. And it would feel strange for a long time to call the sky blue, even after you found out.

      If you believe all the BS about vaccines, or still think any of them are necessary, then you are in a cult as well. It’s not JUST the covid vax. If this is a new idea for you, that the belief in vaccines is the same exact thing as this cult. Then maybe that will help you to understand. If you aren’t already ‘anti vax’, it will take a lot of undoing. But, there’s a lot of other undoing regarding other beliefs you’ve been deceived into believing. And it’s more difficult now… there was a lot of good stuff, pointing to the truth that was removed from the internet in 2020. That should be a red flag. If you are already seeing the mainstream lies, then I hope you are not offended, one cannot make assumptions. But, if this is new to you… imagine running into this woman when she was all in… do you think just telling her, oh no that’s not true, that’s not healthy or whatever… she’s not going to just say to herself, oh you are right, I’ll pack my bags and leave that now, thanks for telling me. Well, if you do believe in vaccines, please take that into consideration. There are millions of people who’ve been murdered and injured by this things… not just the covid… and the actual evidence indicates that vaccines had nothing to do with the decrease in all those diseases they want you to fear.

    I just watched a whole series of documentaries about WWII, including a pretty in-depth documentary on the leibensborn (I know I’ve misspelled it). I knew about it, not as much as I thought I did. I was totally blown away by how much like the FLDS it sounded. He had tried to turn the garment industry around and wanted them to produce clothing that was more traditional and modest, and started the training schools to train girls to be good Arian wives and boys to be loyal Nazis. He pushed families to have as many children as possible in order to repopulate the world after all the non Arians were done away with or enslaved. He also encouraged his officers to have children outside of their marriages, and all his troops to be involved with women in the “acceptable” conquered nations and opened these “maternity homes” to take care of these women and take charge of these babies. Who wants to make a bet that, had he won the war, polygamy would have come next? Probably, though, he would have been more scientific about it and turned the maternity homes into a type of brothel where pure Arian men could come to impregnate chosen women . I think there was already some of that going on. Everyone was supposed to have pictures of him in their homes and to even “pray” to him. Sound familiar? Scary for sure.

      @@nesser1352 It could also be a slight dialect. Calling little girls "young ladies", even if they're preschool age, is common where I'm from and even teenagers will get the "young lady" treatment. Adult women are "ladies" instead. I don't say it much anymore, but adding the prefix of young can be the signifier that they aren't adults in some regional US accents.

      We were always called young ladles, even when we were very little. It was very common. And we were nowhere near any cults. This is secular society calling us this, teachers, parents friends. Must be a regional thing. And this woman has been through very serious brainwashing and abuse, too much in her life to have to worry about changing up her language because you have an issue. Let's let her work on herself, and heal, and use whatever terminology she feels comfortable using. This is not about us, or what we might "have an issue with".

    April 6 is probably more accurate to be fair. I was raised in the denomination men call the Church of Christ and the only religious holiday we celebrated was Sunday. We did celebrate secular Christmas (which I decided when I was three was Santa‘s birthday) and Easter.

    • @sarahissersohn5495
      @sarahissersohn5495 6 місяців тому +6

      As I understand it, the only reason Christmas is celebrated when it is, by most Christians, is that the Church, initially, tried to co-opt as many Pagan traditions as possible, and Winter Solstice (shortest day, longest night of the year, in the Northern Hemisphere) is Dec 21st. Relatedly, Easter used to be a fertility celebration honoring the goddess Ostara. That’s why bunnies and chicks; they symbolize fertility bc they have short gestations and large numbers of offspring.
      And Santa- that’s a really fun one! Up in Lapland, the shamans would dress to honor their sacrament: the red and white Amanita Muscaria mushrooms which would grow in a circle, around the base of the huge pine-type trees (like gifts!). The shamans would wait for reindeer to ingest the mushrooms (who then, metaphorically, would “fly”), bc the alkaloids in the mushrooms were fatal to humans, until they’d been broken down by the reindeer having ingested them first. The shamans would then (sorry!) drink the reindeers’ pee and would then journey around the village to heal and help their people, raining their wisdom and healings down the through smoke holes (chimneys) of the villagers’ yurts.

    Ada Marie is an absolute LEGEND! I’ve watched her very fascinating interview with Sam & Melissa and I’m just so impressed with Ada’s strength and insight after a lifetime of indoctrination and so much chaos and manipulation following her marriage to Warren. I imagine her telling her own story will give other women the strength to start telling their own stories and asking their own questions. And I just really admire Ada Marie for choosing to give purpose to all the awful things she endured by sharing all it’s taught her.
    On another note - I think Warren Jeffs is as ugly as the sins he’s committed and I’m so very relieved he can no longer impregnate his followers. It’s sickening he’s still controlling them though.
