It's okay to like Tekken.
It ain't okay to like these practices.
From day one, this crap was unacceptable
The fuck is unacceptable? It doesnt have any affect on the gameplay, don't buy it and you're good, customization mode is still completely free
@@aren5900 So you're fine with them nickel and diming you with every chance they get? And don't give me "BuT iT s U p P o R t S tHe D e V s"
It's unacceptable that we can't just buy the costumes outright for what it's worth and have nothing left over, you seriously can't be genuinely confused about this...
I've been purchasing stuff from the shop to reward them for not making dlc characters pay to win. Tekken h8ters are so blinded by rage. Sure we all wish everything in the world is free but, c'mon man
@@Scutter17 So you're rewarding them for doing the bare minimum? "Not making dlc characters pay to win" is not a valid reason. We're not wishing for everything to be free, we want prices to reflect the effort put into making them. So far, almost every costume has just been a port from the previous games, save for the new original ones like the wrestler and beach costumes(and even then, some are extremely lazy like the hair styles).
@@Robotlien what are you talking about? we can buy anything straight away. I never said lootboxes are ok, but we're not getting lootboxes
Half of the bethesda mods on the creation hub was stolen mods from others and put up with a price tag. There's no review before the mods are accepted, don't praise bethesda.
Yeah creation club is mid af
Shit like this is what killed all hype for TES6 for me. Shameless greedy mfs do not deserve my money
I didn't even know that was happening. One of my family members has been doing it for some time and we've never encountered that problem. Sucks that people have to steal your sh*t.
Simple solution Don't buy anything
@@edwardfell1016 it's not enough to just not buy it ourselves, we have to convince the others not to support that shit either. Can you imagine how many people out there are still holding out hope that TES 6 will be amazing even after Fallout 76 and Starfield turned out to be back to back massive disappointments? And this is just talking about the people who actually bought that shit, the only reason I'm in a position to willingly ignore a new Bethesda project is because I was broke when those games were at the height of their popularity and I was shown how horrible they actually were after the hype train was derailed.
Their "nickle and diming" behavior has turned me off. Customization used to be one of those definitive things about tekken/SC. After a rough day of ranked I use to go and customize my character. But of course greed.
"We playing Fortnite or we playing Tekken" 😭😭 it's so over
THIS
Having battle passes and a shop in a full priced game is baffling to me, we've already paid enough. If they release costumes or items, just make it a bundle for the whole roster for like, 15 usd. We're paying for dlc characters already, and those will always make money. But no, they just choose to be greedy and piss everyone off. What's even worse is that people still buy these things, that's why it keeps happening.
I just don’t think the battle pass makes sense in this game. Most Tekken players only play One Main and One Alt. That’s a load of content for other characters most people won’t care about.
People like K-Wiss probably gonna say this stuff is fine so they can get keep glazing Harada for free shit.
Seriously, f Harada, f Murray, f BamCo, f the FGC for not speaking out loud about this and f Dragunov mirrors in every tournament.
wait wait wait whos murray again?? also harada is pretty based but this is a scummy ass move by him and everyone else who contributed to it. (looking at you fortnite.) fortnite basically ruined a whole lot of games because of the battle pass but i like some of the skins. i dont play it anymore
@@aniiii_wxs Murray is the producer (the white guy who follows Harada everywhere and translates), also notorious for saying dumb shit on Twitter.
Fortnite is unique thing and everyone is trying to catch a lightning into the bottle again by repeating the same thing. But this doesn’t work with already a niche genre like fighting games. I’m fine with paying irl money for well made original skin bundles (I did in MKX). But I don’t want to pay for virtual currency packs to get color swaps, assets from previous games which were free or straight up loot boxes in fighting games.
WB Games tried this live service thing in their recent games and guess what: they were ass and flopped hard.
@@aniiii_wxsblaming Fortnite is dumb one it had years to be what it is.
The companies trying to chase what Fortnite is today are failing.
Fortnite is successful….why easy they’re all nice and thoughtfully put together.
The skins are unique and Fortnite 100% gives back to the player base because of the successful monetization.
Tekken would it be in this way if they actually hired ppl to make better content that ppl would pay and monetize better.
You forgot Harada and Murray have bosses...the suits at bamco are the ones pulling the strings otherwise I wouldn't think Harada would pull this shit if he was the top dog at bamco
Love K wiss hwoarang but he does have all the harada penis in his mouth 😂😂
What I can't stand is how the bears are being excluded from getting new outfits like the humans! It's feels unfair and bear mains don't get anything cool worth our time!
Have Kuma and Panda really received nothing? I guess it's because barely anyone uses them they're looking at what the returns might be and choosing to ignore them.
@@RealMikeHollow It's not because barely anyone uses them, it's because they don't want to put the extra effort in to fit the costume/skin to the bear's model, which is significantly different from the human characters.
@@RealMikeHollow true but even still would like to get more stuff for the bears in the future
@@Shade84 YES EXACTLY! but cause if you think about it, there are human character, that are very unpopular as well, and yet you scroll though the listings and you can see those characters getting new outfits, its simply unfair, and TKN7 managed to give the bears more stuff, even a simple bathing suit for panda was a thing. etc.
@@Shade84 In that case, they may as well have not included them in the game to begin with but then they'd piss the players off that like those characters myself included.
Whales will prevent this from failing. If the playerbase truly didnt support this then they wouldnt keep pushing forward with it. It is what it is i guess

I'm sharing it from a mate of mine via PSN, so I didn't even buy the game
Having nearly 400 hours in and it's really beginning to nag on me how bad most of it is or was done... They will get my money, if they deserve it but that day has still to come

@@aniiii_wxs nope the tooth fairy gifted me the game,in fact she gave me a PS5 as well. All jokes aside I purchased a PS5 mainly to play Tekken 8 and I'm kinda sad what Harada, Tekken team and Bandai are doing with one of may favorites game series
@@dark__angel__9150 Brother i feel you but the actual game is the same the gameplay hasn't changed. If you play tekken for customisation then the game ain't for you. Yes i loved the freedom you had on tekken 6 and tag with it but for me is the gameplay.
They put too much effort into the Tekken shop yet it's still lackluster
The reason why the limited firework emotes exist in the store is scummy
If you want a character costume, you have to buy 500 coins to spend 400 on the costume.
They're hoping that people will see the 100 coin price tag on the fireworks and think "ehh why not".
They're limited so that you'll do this every single time you want to buy a character costume.
@@Switcheroo4542 scummy practices if ya ask me.
Why in my day, you had to beat the game on hard to get extra costumes. And you only had 3 lives and 3 continues to do it!
because you didnt have more costumes upcoming and this game gives you a whole customization mode for free.
@@aren5900im pretty sure most if not all of the customization modes are free, however i dont have money for 8 and i have only played 6 and tag 2 so far. their customization was PEAK 🔉🔉
I never understood the over spending stuff. Why not just add a slider for how much coins you want, and they give you the estimate on how it costs. It’s like this in every game, and it’s so dumb
Its because it's a psychological trick to make people spend more money to equalize thier coin's. It works and it should be illegal
That's a good idea but good ideas isn't something that extends to suits.
Frankly because it's not about what's best for the customer, it's determined by the marketing team what's best for the company. They want you to over spend 'cause they profit off it. Simple as that.
Customization was one of my favorite things about tekken I’d spend hours grinding fight money in tekken 6 to make custom outfits and spend hours in treasure battle on tekken 7 there’s literally nothing else to do on tekken 8 cept play ranked or quick match tekken ball is boring 😢
Vote with your wallet , dont support such games
Ppl these days really got more money than sense smfh ppl love to get used and abused by these companies.
From what I can see, its rotations on special deals. For example, the kazuya and jin one will return to being a singular purchase each costing 400 Tekken Coins. Its just a limited time offer to get a free bonus skin and afterwards it'll return to being the same price.
If you scroll down on the home page you can still buy those costumes separately. I really don’t understand why the discount is like this. As soon as it ends it’s just forcing you to buy 2 costumes
“At least Its not as bad as a loot box because here you know what you’re getting”
Unrelated but that thumbnail image of Kazuya is awesome
Haha thanks. My group chats always drop the best Tekken pics.
i was creeped out by it a bit because it was so realistic

@@ceej7264 nothing is precious (apart from Dragonball 🗿).
@@RealMikeHollow Ooof... Better hope. Namco. doesn't apply those same tactics over there👀😬
the fact that not all costumes are bundled like this just means its temporary for this current deal.
once the deal is over they will be individual items again, the offer is that you get two for the price of one.
individual sales wouldve probably been better anyway though.
Unrelated but I'm surprised they don't have the smash remixes of the songs in here
Probably unwilling to have the executive battle with Nintendo. Understandable honestly.
Not only do you have to spend money on the shop, but you have to WAIT until you can get your character by itself rather than being in a bundle.
Part of the problem with the SF6 and Tekken 8 store is most of it is generic avatar gear. You were calling them character costumes but really, they are just customization items. They probably aren't actually making that much off of them, but they don't really need to. It is extremely low effort content that costs them almost nothing to make because it is basically adding textures to a template. They don't have to make it fit all the animations like they do with actual character costumes.
I will never understand why these companies don't just buy the rights to their communities' mods for a fair price. I would prefer a market of "mod mercs" who create fire stuff and try to sell to big companies, over loot boxes and battle passes. Everybody wins in the former, imagine a world where all you had to do to get your foot in the door to the gaming industry is create one stick mod that popped off. It would also mean that if your studio gets shut down as a game dev you have some free lance work to ride you over to the next big project. Imagine remixes of tracks being included as paid dlc, now you've got musicians involved too. I'll never get it.
Hot take, I think that it SHOULD be shamed to put money into bad business practices. This will never end until the entire community agrees to stop it. Sure, there may be exceptions, but in general this practice is really hurting the gaming experience for the majority of players. If you spend money on trash you are incentivizing trash, in the same way that if you aren't blocking lows you are incentivizing lows. Use some of that FGC logic and apply it to your wallet. If we had the content pipeline described above, we needn't worry about the game we love lacking long term support. On top of that, I don't understand why companies don't have just a straight "donate" button, if people are buying this crap just to support the game, why not just let us give them money that way?
lmaoo they call it 50% off bc u get a skin u dont want included with it thats actually crazy
@@twistsx. Yay, a free Azucena skin.

Even though the store is still terrible and pretty much anything with monetization has been really bad , still the biggest problem is the usage of premium currency , the fact that it's not priced with real money makes it so that you have to buy premium currency and you always have to buy the two smaller bundles or one big bundle and in both cases you're always left with a bunch of coins that are worthless that you can buy nothing with so now you have to buy another pack and so on and so on or be left with a bunch of coins they can't buy you anything of value which means you are wasting money
You're right though Mike "just dont engage with the store." I dont buy anything from the Tekken, or Call of duty store. The customization is good enough for me. Even though if there were GOOD ENOUGH costumes in the store, for a reasonable price, i will buy, but as of now, no costumes seem good or creative enough. So, F*ck t8 store, and f*ck Call of duty store.
DBZ had free avatars, dlc characters came with their avatars and avatars of non playable characters to unlock.
What makes things worse is if you own one of the costumes in the pack it's still 400 coins or 800 when the sale ends. So technically you're buying the same skin twice. Nice job, Namco.
Some big brain sh*t right there.
@RealMikeHollow
Not to praise MK1's store because of the whole selling fatalities thing, but if you unlock gear or skins by playing the game and there's a pallet you don't have and it's in the store, the pack will cost less because you already have it. Why can't Tekken do the same thing?
Thanks for finally addressing this issue. I don't even play Tekken, Street fighter or Mortal Kombat anymore. I actually wrote my own video game, it's a fighter too, but I don't know if I can get anyone to support making it.
Wow shoutout to you. Inspiration stuff right here

Maybe I’m misremembering but I thought costumes were 400 tekken coins to begin with. It looked like now on discount they’re 400 again and 800 normal. It looks like they raised base price and used the normal price as the “discount”
It's two for the price of one.
The two costumes at 400 each would be 800.
They put two in (800) and are selling it for half price (400).
Where tf is the confusion?
@@Shade84nah I misread it, thought they changed the standard costume price to 800 instead of 400 each
@@Shade84seriously, the lack of common sense is truly baffling…
The party effect thing is crazy! Paying to only get to use it 10 times before having to buy it again smh many people probably haven’t bought that but still.
And you should still be able to buy costumes separately without having to buy them in a pack. If you can’t then that’s really dumb
The most serious problem is they don't permanently ban and demote pluggers in Tekken.
That is a very big and annoying issue that they need to sort out.
Not surprised at all by this, Capcom, Bandai Namco, and Warner Brothers are always going to have micro transactions in their modern fighting games. I would just stick with the originals or wait until there's a version where everything is in a special edition collection. Modern fighting games are always going to be a scam from these companies and sometimes others.
First, they implemented Battle Pass, which is barebones, second they put classic costumes for cahracters to buy as singles, and now third, they removed single costume purchase, combined with another character costume and atm they ask for 50%, and when that will be overt they will charge 800? Bro, they make you buy more tekken points and to spend 2x money to get your favourite costume
That’s… not what they’re doing. Pretty sure the loot boxes are meant to be discounted bundles, so they won’t charge full price for them
Creating skins for a game this packed is challenging imo, it's not like you'd do a single costume for a single character, often one costume should be ported to multiple characters

Totally agree.
These shambolic shenanigans need to stop.
Harada deserves the heat for the current state of the game.
I agree that these should be discounted as individual items and that we should be able to either earn coins or directly purchase the exact amount we want. Then this would all be an easier pill to swallow. Do I think that'll happen though? Nah. It's Namco.
this vid made me laugh harder than the idea that I should 7.99$ for fake stuff lmao
I honestly believe the only reason there is a store in the first place is because the corporation demanded it. I don't think Harada ever wanted to put a store in the game but he was forced to do it. Because that is modern gaming practices. And for this reason the team put very little effort into the shop as possible. Enough to, comply with the corporate overlords, but not enough to be actually called effort.
@@thatblindtekkenwarrior1177 yeah, I don't blame Harada. Its why I never said his name or if I do I refer it back to Namco. I doubt Harada is happy with all of this.
@@RealMikeHollow with my eyesight the way it is I can only actually play two games. T8, thankfully it's accessibility options allow me to play. I was struggling quite a bit at the end of T7.
The other game I play is Diablo 4, again the accessibility options allow me to play it. But here is what's interesting both games released roundabout the same time. I think T8 came out maybe three months later than Diablo. They are both full price games that have micro transactions and battle passes as well as expansion packs. They are both essentially live service games with a premium price tag.
Diablo 4 if you look at any videos onlineif over the last year or you will see is people complaining about the game for one reason or another. And video after video saying this is D4's last chance. It was a bad game and even the developers know this because they have completely overhaul the game over the year. What's interesting, is you know what people haven't been complaining about is the micro transactions or the battle pass. When they sell their skins for $25 and upwards. But nobody complained about that, because they were far too busy complaining about the actual gameplay.
But was really interesting is the fact that Diablo's financials have just been leaked. Over the year where people have done nothing but complain because it's a bad game, which it was. They have taken in $1 billion of revenue with 150 million of that coming from the cash shop . I believe it's 15% of the revenue is made through micro transactions.
We don't have the numbers for T8, and I doubt there anywhere near blizzards numbers. Blizzard have been milking people for years they are expert at it. But I think this information does show why the corporate bigwigs are pushing these agendas. And Diablo shows that no matter how much people complain , the game still sold like hotcakes and people still bought the micro transactions even although all online was just complaining about the game. It's actually quite interesting juxtaposition of what we believe is happening from the talk online, and just how much money they're making despite the talk online.
SMH this game is going to end up being like DOA 5 ultimate by the end of its life cycle in price.
Bethesda’s paid mods and creation club has mixed reactions in its community (I.e. broken mods still sold in starfield) having free mod downloadable in the game like fallout 4 could work for tekken they have rules And guidelines so things from other games or ip wouldn’t be allowed though
Like everything, Bethesda find a way to mess it up... Honestly paid mods is not something that any corporation should get involved in or encourage.
Broken mods, mods dependent on other mods, license limitations, creative guidelines... Money at most should be a link for early access or a tip jar to avoid all sorts of issues that come with building monetisation onto an established open source scene.
i haven’t clicked on the shop, battle pass, or customization since purchasing this game and never will
They are turning Tekken into a Roblox for adults 😂😂😂
The argument about it takes a lot of money to develop the game, characters etc etc is a god damn lie because Unreal Engine is free for everyone, Blender is also free, I can go in there.. for free, make a model, rig it to do whatever I want it to do... for free. I know theirs employees to pay but you're not in the gaming industry they will say so therefore you don't know anything. All of these skins, everything in the store should've been free and earnable like every other Tekken before it. They claim they need money to develop the game, Bandai Namco btw, a multi million dollar indie company I guess, that never had this problem for previous Tekken games. Its all bull to fool you, even modders do this stuff for free , no gain for anything, but these gaming companies just want to nickle and dime you. The fact that the base game is a full priced game and then theirs the extra editions, that all cost money and ON TOP OF THAT, they want you to spend money in game. F them, the game sucks anyways. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is still better than any Tekken game to this day and has more content in general TO THIS DAY, for FREE.
I can't tell if the bundles will become random or not. I think that Bamco isn't going to do that because they understand just how much of a backlash this will cause. But if they will turn them into actual lootboxes, then by all means let the dogs out.
People on here seem to ignore the idea of the Creation Club alternative for this situation. While Bethesda is a *****y company by every merit imagineable, having the option to do a mod, have it be endorsed by the Tekken Team, implemented into the actual game files as a shop item and getting some revenue out of it as well seems like a very good idea to me. The community gives, the community takes and returns. Just because it was done by Bethesda in a bad manner, doesn't mean that Bamco has to follow suit. Moreover, ending community made content just makes things worse in my opinion.
But yeah like I mentioned, there is a possiblity that these things will become random, but I don't think it will just yet. After all, there seems to be a plan behind it, taking into consideration that these boxes have the label "01" on them. Maybe more will follow in the future and the other box picture we saw will be a larger bundle.
But it is a damn shame that we can't buy costumes that are on sale individually. That does sting.
Im suprised namco doesn’t support fan created costumes how like dead or alive 5 did… it makes no sense since they copied a lot of dead or alive
It would make so much sense to do it and build a proper relationship with their fans.
Fuck the battle pass, fuck all the costumes, if there's one thing that I would spend money on, is the ability to play as Master Raven with T8 Raven kit, and could be either, a special skin for Raven, or as a dlc char.
Sadly the company is too blind to see the genius decision made by mike. Would have been great for modders to give us amazing models bur its a shame
Theres nothing wrong with big titty mods when all the dudes are big muscle
@@NYG5 there's nothing wrong with it but as I said, I can understand Namco not wanting to rep those mods.

My last Tekken game was 6, haven't touched this one yet. Hate to see how the customisation has aged
Eveeyone should apologize to DOA, as bad as thr hair dlc practices were in 6, at least the costumes were cheap in 5 and 6. Like $2 for an outfit or whatever and you could buy them individually or just buy them in bundle
Or buy the $90+ season pass lol
I know everyone makes fun of that but at least it wasn't a battle pass with stuff locked away an even more premium pass
my guess is that bundle is on sale for a limited time but after the sale the individual items will probably for sale at normal price again. i still don’t like the shop stuff or the pass too much but thats what seems what’s happening
Tekken should give special customization options for that are only accessible through getting a higher rank. Or just something special in general that you could only achieve through rank increases. It would bring more people to play ranked if they felt they were being rewarded for advancing.
once One Piece Bounty Rush PC and DBZ Sparking Zero fails. that will be the end of BanDEI.
I doubt Sparking Zero is going to fail.
I dunno how you feel about this, but my preference is to work hard and earn costumes or costume parts in game. No money spent, just grind it out. Maybe it is hard, maybe it'll take forever, maybe I suck so bad I never get the costume. That's all fine, but it should be free and already in the game. Even when the cosmetics are "reasonable priced" it makes me feel "ugh" to have to pay money for this type of stuff.

I wouldn't call Bethesda's Creation Club a success, its been widely panned by the communities of those games. Non-monetized mods should remain free and thats that.
If the 50% on the Boxes stays it would be a decent deal. But we all know that will not be the case. Instead we get forced to buy outfits we don't want to get the one we actually want. Let's completely ignore the fact that Tekken now has a store and focus on what is even worse: The store is simply trash. I can only think of Valorant having a even worse store.
Atleast have good shit if you gotta add a store. It's hilarious. They're like kids with a antfarm.
I have seen many glitches in this game I had it wasn’t really impressed by anything like the claws you get they don’t even stick to the characters hand and had to pay for characters I said nope give back so I’m sticking with my PS2 and PS3
Oof, this shit sounds like Overwatch 2s monetization. The fact that the bs of skins being solely locked behind bundles made it to another game, especially one in a completely different game genre, is baffling. It's too bad that the greed made it to fighting games. It was negligent when it was just NRS or less popular games like Dead or Alive being greedy, but now all of them are.
valve with dota 2 does it best. people make skins in the workshop, items gets rated by community then valve review highly rated items and if it get accepted you will see it in a loot box or you can purchase directly and you get a cut.
I bought nearly all the dlc for Tekken 7 because they just cost real money. When 8 went with the in-game currency that you spend real money on I decided not to buy any dlc because you'll spend $10 for example and then after you buy something you're left with currency you can't actually spend so you either waste it or you spend more real money to get more currency to again be left with currency you can't use and continue the cycle
I hope that these are just limited deals and not a permanent change
I have the big 3 and it amazes me how the Tekken8 shop or Sf6 shop haven’t been critic much because they ain’t doing much different from what’s it’s being done in MK 1 shop but it’s mostly MK 1 getting all the critic for it’s practices of the shop, the ones that have that I have seen that been equally critical is you and Dee about it, which I respect.
I’m just saying for those that read my comment. Anyhow I have bought stuff from the shop from the big 3, skins from MK 1, SF6 and Tekken8, but yea there’s some things in shop for Tekken8 I haven’t buy and won’t buy like the fireworks, I don’t need that and plus it’s not unlimited which is crazy, because after using it 10 times you gotta rebuy it. That’s to much there, lol. I pass on that one, lol.
And as for the avatar, I’m good with my avatar and with the avatar that I got in the preorder, im there to battle! Now what I don’t mind buying and I pay for the upgrade of Year 1 character pass and some skins but nothing less than that, I’m not playing with my Avatar or with the fireworks. Less the fireworks which you have to pay again for that one fireworks you bought or like, Maybe if I was younger I would have bought some avatars and fireworks lol.
And for SF6 the same, only buying some skins and the Year 2 characters pass. And for MK 1 only the skins and the story expansion that comes with KP2. But I haven’t really but the announcers voice packs, which is the same as buying the stuff for your avatar in SF6 and Tekken8 an extra thing that I don’t really need and spend extra money on. I did buy 1 or 2 voice announcers in MK 1 but it was with the earn dragon kystals.
Now some skins I bought with my money combined it with the earn dragon kystals which helps so I can save up some money. Anyhow I agree with what your saying.
at this point i dont care. i aint buying it. wasnt that your sentiment too?
Yes, but I also said if new things got implemented then I'd speak on it and then wait until that happens again. This is a new thing. Its not currently a loot box (like people assumed it would be, myself included) but could potentially morph into them over time.

This is the same shit that happened with Dead or Alive skins and also the way they make you buy character dlc bundles in kof
Creation Hub shouldn't be a thing because mods shouldn't be paid for unless the mod creator has a patreon and you want to support them. Bethesda trying to monetize mods is ridiculous, they tried that shit with Skyrim years ago and everyone pushed back and hated it. Also Bandi Namco are too busy on DEI rather than giving a shit about their community.
Again I will say, and this is just me, I think just editing the colors and whatnot of the default costumes is way better than stupid costumes but, alas, here we are.
bandai could push out tekken 9 right now, without story mode, without arcade - just versus, ranked and playermatches/quickmatches and they would STILL make money.
As long they removed rage art and heat as a whole, because this just does not belong in a game like tekken....
Nah. Even with Reina, I wouldn’t care if it was a story thing. If they cared about that, I wouldn’t have to suffer samsara Jin
Ngl any9ne who supports the store are on stunk 😂
I think .... that the bundles will always be buy Two outfits for one "deals"
I don't think the 2 for 1 will be random in the future..... but there is the other colour that could be the random loot boxes.
I agree the Shop is still Pants ...... I've only bought 2 of the waifu Packs.
And I only buy the Battlepasses once I've already completed them so I get my coins back to buy the next pass without more outlay.
A bunch of stuff that back in the day you can earn by just playing the game.
No need to open your wallet.
I spent 5 dollars to get 1 tier of crabs what the actual fuck
Lmaooo
Yeah nah they removed the option to buy the costumes on their own but I'm guessin it's only for when they're in these bundles? Idk if they're "discounts" in the bundles or if that's just a marketing tactic to make you wanna buy em? Like I think these bundles are pretty cool because I'm a strong believer in these legacy costumes bein free in the base game but this is just the next best thing to me. None of these bundles interest me atm cuz I don't play those characters but if there was a lars/steve bundle I'd be spendin me spare coins on em
The character avatars should be unlocked by playing the character
Its been a year and my yoshi looks the same . YOSHI. hes had like a hundred outfits.
Wtf is going on.. i thought companies loved shoving costumes down our throats?
AVATAR ITEMS? like jeez 😓
I don't mind the classic costumes, but that's it. The avatar and other crap is pointless.
I got the Jin, Nina, Law, and Jun costumes. And there are around 3 costumes I can think of that I definitely want to see again, and I'm willing to spend the money for them (Unless a mod gets made instead), but unless those specifically get released, I'm done with the store.
Pretty much done with the whole game at this point, since I'm an offline player and there's f-all to do.
Idk why they removed the individual outfits, but the costume bundes are just there to sweeten the deal , 2 for the price of 1 they wont make it a forced 800 coins for it in the future. I doubt they are that dumb.
@@Hyglo27 it would sweeten the deal if I could pick two costumes I actually want. I'm never gonna use the random character they use so I'm not saving anything.
The shop is very low effort no lie. Thanks for the honest opinion Mike
I think Overwatch had this same problem, too (at least as far as the bundled items are concerned).
I'm just happy it isn't loot Boxes tbh
Don't hold ya breath on that one 😂
holy shit if you guys are right about them introducing actual randomized loot boxes...
I really hope I'm not.
I be listenin to your vids while im at work in my headphones. I listen to the whole outro. Lol love that naruto song
@@Polobreezy haha thank you dude. Appreciate that.
The store is pure azz😂😂they clearly not doing anything unique. They not using their game mode wisely.Rank could have been where could potentially get maybe an angel or devil form of whatever character you get to a certain rank with.(Angel jin, devil feng, yoshi, lili, etc.)Fight money you earned thur playing could have been for loot boxes or just logging on tekken8.
Basically just for the store: If whatever they selling already in previous games, let it be earned thur gameplay alone.Anything with actual creativity,is what should be there.
I don’t agree with everything that Moonsault Slayer or whatever says but he did put out a video earlier saying they had a massive loss with that game they had to cancel. So they may just be trying to capitalize anyway they can. Doesn’t make it right but would explain a bit
13:08 this is what street fighter is doing, so I'm not buying sf6 until they make an ultimate edition or whatever on sale, not gonna over spend, not gonna grind for colors or anything
I don’t see this as predatory though, it’s either they left it how it was and you bought your singular legacy costume for £5, or you spend £5 and get your legacy costume that you were gonna buy anyway AND get a free bonus costume with it too, regardless of whether or not you’d use that character costume it’s still a free costume that you’d of had to pay for before but you’re getting at no extra cost now so I don’t see how something being made cheaper can be seen as predatory, sorry Mike but can’t agree with you on this one
Would have made more sense to discount individual costumes so I can get two costumes for characters that I can actually use. As it stands, I main one character and there are a lot of people that only use one and never deviate. So this "discount" really means nothing to all of those people. A free Azucena skin with my Feng one? Thanks... I guess? 😂 Just give people control and charge the suggested amount. Its really not that hard.
@@RealMikeHollow I mean I get that, but at the end of the day it’s something extra that you weren’t getting before so I don’t really see the issue? Granted you didn’t get the offers lined up in the way that you wanted but does that really mean that this is a predatory offer or a bad deal? I don’t think it is, it’s like you say with DLC characters, if a character comes out that you don’t want but they have a large fan base you can still be happy for the fan base that got their character, and I think the same can be applied here. you might not like this offer but at the end of the day it is a free legacy skin and you are getting extra for your money which people will enjoy, so I think it’s only fair to stay impartial and acknowledge that this definitely isn’t a bad thing, this isn’t me saying we should be PRAISING namco either, but that doesn’t mean we have to hate on them either imo, we can just stay in the middle haha
@@Esi_786 I didn't specifically say this part was predatory. I said that about the Tekken coins and how they match up with the boxes and other items. I said this made no sense for the reasons I said above. Its not predatory, it just lacks common sense. They must know that people are particular about characters so for those kinds of people, this isn't a discount cos those people will never touch those characters, effectively making it useless.
When you made the video i lost the timing but now I'll say it
When moonsault slayer talked about "content creators must unite against this" he was right
A few nobodies in twitter complaining about the store doesn't mean shit to harada he just blocks people who don't agree with him and moves on like there is nothing wrong
If big content creators like jwong, jmcroft, sajam and Maximilian start making videos to ask people for help "let's unite against this, enough is enough" then we would PROBABLY get a win but most of them are afraid to lose their free copies of the game
We also don't know how well everything in the store is selling and they will never share to give the impression that tons of people are buying
That's fine in asking but the issue with what Moon did (which we spoke about) is saying that if they don't then they are against us. Its okay to ask for help but trying to back people into a corner is not the way to go about it and will just start in fighting.
@@RealMikeHollow yeah that's a bad thing, shit like that happened in my region but for a different subject
Awesome video man. All those years with Tekken 7, I have always wanted Tekken shop, But the way they did it, Absolute Mess. Lots of unnecessary stuff going. Can't even make a Tekken 3 Yoshimitsu.
@@RetroDreams99 thank you brah and yeah.. nothing wrong with having a shop but the way they've gone about it is lame.
It’s two for the price of one.
