The guy just easily dodge it, like what that gun going to do? Thanks Captain for making me missed once in a lifetime opportunity to kill the guy who slaughtered my people!

Krell was described at the start of the arc as "ruthlessly efficient" - he got the job done, irrespective of the body count. It was shown he ha a prejudice towards the clones, combined with his arrogance he made for a very bad general. However, once he foresaw Order 66, he realized that the Jedi would be exterminated by their very clones. Rather than inform the council, he made plans to defect to Dooku, and had everything gone to plan would have succeeded; however he never anticipated Rex and Fives working out the truth. Shame really, as it would have been brilliant to see a team of Jedi take on Krell, leading to a Windu / Anakin team up.

TBF it seemed evident they had planed on arresting him than killing, considering the fact he ordered him to surrender. It was only after Krell started fighting back did they start using lethal force and even afterwards they did take him alive the first chance they got, . Where as in Revenge of the Sith order 66 was specifically to kill Jedi on sight and even then through books, comics, Star Wars Rebels and various other sources of entertainment we find that a large portion of Jedi did survive order 66, but just went into hiding. Hell in a couple stories some of the clones straight up refused the order.
@VGV Tomato interesting you took that from my comment when it had absolutely nothing to do with race on that note, those are some of lightest skinned black people I've ever seen, especially the original actor who played Jango in the first place. I'd guess he was mixed race first maybe Samoan. But hey, clearly the nameless faceless expendable homegrown army of clones are offensive to black people. I'd be shocked if you found any actual black people who legit think this. This is the kind of racism only an actual racist would thinking. Like racists saying Orcs are black people
+Sherlock Holmes Yeah now we have a boy with a laser slingshot....a F*CKING SLINGSHOT?! YOU KIDDING ME?! The only thing I give rebels credit for is showing the empire in the beginning. They showed walkers and other things I've only seen in games. They even show the beginning of the heavy star destroyers when they were just prototypes. I'll admit I like that but the show is just so much unlike the clone wars and star wars it doesnt matter
I think krill would surrive to because he has two doubled bladed sabres just like Darth maul and his brother but they both have one and there color is only red
I like his pov on the clones Interesting that he would do this all on his own without being convinced by any sith lords Edit: he was one of the few jedi that sensed the end of the order so he was hoping he could kill all those clones to get count dooku’s attention and serve under him
***** i know that but it's been a while since i wathced episode 2 and for a while as i saw krell i was like "haven't i seen that kind of specie before? because i have very faint memory about it..."
+Mario Clone Wars is definitely leap and bounds better than Rebels(so far). Season of Rebels(mostly the season finale) has proved to be a worthy successor for Clone Wars, especially the reintroduction of Rex.
yankeefederer1994 yes, the writers sat around a table and were like "alright let's be as lazy as possible and copy dialogue from the movies" instead of "hey let's reference the movies as a nod to the franchise"
Fr3k3 the also probably said lets screw up half the show and break 80% of all the background races and characters like the night sisters and the mandalorians did you know that the "witches" actually don't act like witches and ride rancors and even emperor palpatine was afraid of them so dokou could not send an army there and they DONT USE FRICKING VOODOO DOLLS geez C.N
Evan Michael Sutka I don't know what you're trying to say but I'm going to stop you right at "break 80% of all the background races" There isn't even 80% of all background races in Clone Wars. In fact, there are a lot of obscure races in Clone Wars to prevent precisely what you're bitching about. Second topic: Mandalorians. Mandalorians stopped being war-like conquerors before the Clone Wars. Shit changes. It's called character development (or in this case, civilization development). But I'm sure you forget the story arc of how Mandalore was seized by the Shadow Collective (Sith-backed Mandalorians, surprise surprise). And Maul was only in control of Mandalore for a very very short time. Third topic: the Dathomir Nightsisters ARE witches. They use Sith sorcery and incantations (or "Dark Arts") and there is no written text saying they absolutely refuse to use "voodoo dolls". And the only person Palpatine was afraid of was Gethzerion, which was arguably one of the strongest users of sorcery in the galaxy. Fact is, there isn't a lot of information on her, nor was she active during the Clone Wars. Talzin was the de-facto leader of the Nightsisters during that Era, and Gethzerion only came into relevance during the Rebellion & New Republic Era. And not all Nightsisters rode rancor's during the Clone Wars. It wasn't until well into the New Republic when the Nightsisters had domesticated all of the native populations of rancor. Please don't bitch about breaking lore when you only know a small faction of it.
+Nath an *In previous scene* Krell: Lets play a game; I'll be the Joker and you'll be Batman. Clones: I don't get it. (Krell tricks clones into firing on each other) Ahh!! I get it!!
When Rex talks about thinking for themselves, jeez that’s such an emotional moment, not to mention such a callout to when he disobeys Order 66. These episodes of the series are my favorite, there’s action, drama, betrayal, heroism. YES!
Andrés Pétur Axelsson The Clone Wars is canon. So yes the chips were there in the prequels. Without the chips. The clones would hesitate to kill the jedi.
This was probably one of the more defining moments in the show. While many people say the 501st should have beat Krell's ass in an instant due to them slaughtering the Jedi in Operation Knightfall, here's an issue with that argument; the 501st were fighting YOUNGLINGS, Jedi in training, and very few masters or knights were there to even combat the clones. All masters and knights were likely slaughtered by Vader or the overwhelming amount of troopers that they were battling. But that's not saying that the knights and masters didn't get a high body count. I mean, look at how easily Obi-Wan and Yoda dispatched 501st troops AFTER Knightfall occured when Vader WASN'T around to help in the slaying. So, I honestly see little problem with Krell being able to massacre so many clones with ease. :/
Well, Krell did have two double lightsabers and four arms. I'm sure General Grievous would have survived, actually no. Grievous is a coward, he'd escape.
Actually, if you watch the 2003 Clone Wars show, Grievous brutally massacred an entire squad of clones, including a senate guardsman. Lucas was the one who decided to fuck him up and make him a wheezing coward while in the animated show in 2003, he was almost the complete opposite, taking on five Jedi masters at once and take out about half of them before the clones end up having to save their asses.
Darth Rhevar Well if you're going with the 2003 Clone Wars before episode 3. Consider this, that Grievous, before Episode 3 and was in the 2003 Clone Wars, didn't have his internal organs messed up until he was about to go up against Mace Windu during the kidnapping of the Chancellor. So before that happened, Grievous was more of a threat. Afterwards, he was a bit more vulnerable when he was fighting Kenobi on Utapao.
Darth Rhevar Dude it was seriously lame when they did that. Grievous was such a beast in the 2003 Clone Wars series -.- It's sad that they couldn't keep him in his prime for episode 3
Krell had such a cool and unique character design. It's a shame we never got to see him fight another lightsaber wielder. I would've loved to see how he would do against Savage Opress or General Grievous.
That’s why Obi wan and Anikan wear pieces of clone armour pieces so they could bond with the clones as equals and individuals so they were no more or no less than each other
Not gonna lie but I did not really see Anakin wear clone armour as it was different to what Obi Wan wore, which was thd exact same clone armour colour as all other armour, but Anakin didn't even wear any. If he did, then it was very unnoticeable.
You can see the evolution to Stormtrooper beginning in this episode ark. They routinely showed far more brutality against the Umbarans more than any other episodes, and here, you see they have no problem, as a whole, attacking a Jedi and then to top it off the first graduates from the Stormtrooper School of Marksmanship have finally arrived.
They were pretty brutal against the Umbarans, though I'm not sure if that's really an evolution towards Stormtroopers or just how some Clone Troopers normally are. As for Krell, he was actually the bad guy in this, not the clones.
Kinda cool that krell was sent there by the chancellor. Palpatine probably knew about krell and the things he was going to do, and so he wanted the 501st to experience it since they were the ones that were going to enter the jedi temple.
I remember watching this when I was younger, I just found out that the same guy that voiced Krell is the same guy that voices Lee Everett in The Walking Dead game.
"You should have listened to the ARC Trooper from the beginning, Captain. He was right! I WAS using you." That's some chilling foreshadowing right there. Especially considering Fives was the ARC Trooper in question, this line could have later been said by Palpatine himself.
While Clone Wars was on the whole a great series, I honestly think the writers/creators' biggest fuck-up was their treatment of Pong Krell. He could of been a great villain: he has a great design, a cool voice, an awesome fighting style, and an interesting motivation for becoming a bad guy. The fact that he wanted to defect to the CIS, because he misinterpreted an accurate prophecy (the Jedi will be destroyed, the Republic will fall, and the Sith will take over). I can imagine Anakin being the one to hunt Krell down and kill him. The irony being that Anakin was disgusted that Krell betrayed the Jedi and the Republic, and joined the Sith. Also for the topping on the cake, Pong Krell or just Krell, afterwords becomes a byword for traitor (ala Judas, Benedict Arnold and Quisling). But what do they do instead, make him just a racist asshole.
all you guys hatin on the g's with four arms..... na, just kidding....but what I find interesting is that General Krell and Dexter are from the same alien species and yet Dexter is the only one of his kind shown in the live action starwars films. Also, Is grievous a krell cyborg as he has four arms...I know for a fact that he wasn't originally a robot
Tom Ebbs no grievous was a kaleesh who was on the verge of death but saved by the CIS by putting his vital organs into a new cyborg body to help them fight the jedi whom he had a personal vendetta against for murdering his people. he was then trained by count dooku to become the ultimate killing machine we know today (if you consider legends canon and not lucas version of grievous who was just a pansy)
Don't forget that even when he is a giant frog, he has those enhanced senses, agility and speed. So it's like he is fighting against a bunch of slow and clumpsy grandmas (With lasers!)
Yeah. There's a bunch of interviews about him playing the part. I now see this as Lee being delusional and slaughtering the clones thinking they're walkers. XD
The sound of the lightsabers penetrating the clone armor is sooooooo beautiful. It makes the lightsabers seem so strong and shows just how thick that armor is. Easily my favorite part of this video, even better than the sound of his lightsabers humming around.
Omg, this show was so amazing, i remember when the Umbara episodes came out, those 3 were some of the craziest episodes. I love this shows ability to always 1 up the last episode or season.

When you care more about the clones than the characters in the sequel trilogy.

To be fair he is using to double blades lightsaber. It safe to say he is better dualist then most
@VGV Tomato interesting you took that from my comment when it had absolutely nothing to do with race
on that note, those are some of lightest skinned black people I've ever seen, especially the original actor who played Jango in the first place. I'd guess he was mixed race first maybe Samoan.
But hey, clearly the nameless faceless expendable homegrown army of clones are offensive to black people. I'd be shocked if you found any actual black people who legit think this. This is the kind of racism only an actual racist would thinking. Like racists saying Orcs are black people
Krell: turns against the clones
Palpatine: A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
Couldn't stop the clones from killing him, guess he missed a critical asset.
Let me fix that for you:
Palpatine: “A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one”
@@gamebawesome good, but feels like a thought, not a voice line for this scene.
@@gamebawesome thanks lol I’ll do that
Look at the detail, the visceral action, the writing, the sound design, the beautiful smooth animation, and then look at Star Wars Rebels.
Disgusting.
let us tame a moment of silence
Imperial Scholar Expert What's sad is that the tail end of the clone wars was getting better and better then it just stopped...
+Sherlock Holmes When you said Disgusting I laughed my ass off
So... season 2 finale happened recently.
Who's laughing now?
If Krell lived, he probably would've survived Order 66
no he would've been sith
Commander Cuffs
He still could have survived.
I wouldn't be surprised if he did if it wasn't for that Sarlacc Monster...
Fans did keep Trench and Darth Maul Alive... All Kress need is Fans
I think krill would surrive to because he has two doubled bladed sabres just like Darth maul and his brother but they both have one and there color is only red
I like his pov on the clones
Interesting that he would do this all on his own without being convinced by any sith lords
Edit: he was one of the few jedi that sensed the end of the order so he was hoping he could kill all those clones to get count dooku’s attention and serve under him
Rex: we are not programmed
Palpatin:ah yes that's what they all say
The hum of his sabers sounds so bad ass
i know the hum of the saber sounds freaking bad ass, man this guy was freaking awesome
Bradley Dollahite To bad he sucked so much
Yea. Too bad he was a complete dick
It took me a while looking at his face and his body structure and then all of a sudden i finally remembered Dexter Jettster from episode 2 :)
Andrés Pétur Axelsson or Goro from Mortal Kombat!
David Duarte Yeah but they're not off the same univurse or even same species
***** i know that but it's been a while since i wathced episode 2 and for a while as i saw krell i was like "haven't i seen that kind of specie before? because i have very faint memory about it..."
Welllll! Whadya know!
This is one of the best arcs
YOU SERIOUS? THEY CANCELED THIS AMAZING SERIES BECAUSE OR STAR WARS REBELS? BULLSHIT!
tbh i like rebals
joshua powell You may like it, but I just prefer Clone Wars over Rebels.
Mario yeah clone wars was great. But rebels is good
joshua powell I respect your like. Rebels is good, yes! But Clone Wars was much better... IMO
+Mario Clone Wars is definitely leap and bounds better than Rebels(so far). Season of Rebels(mostly the season finale) has proved to be a worthy successor for Clone Wars, especially the reintroduction of Rex.
It's treason then
Well looks like someone stole Palpatine's line
Lazy and uninspired writing, more likely.
yankeefederer1994 Yeeahh. They love quoting the movies.
yankeefederer1994 yes, the writers sat around a table and were like "alright let's be as lazy as possible and copy dialogue from the movies" instead of "hey let's reference the movies as a nod to the franchise"
Evan Michael Sutka I don't know what you're trying to say but I'm going to stop you right at "break 80% of all the background races"
There isn't even 80% of all background races in Clone Wars.

Krell: lets play a game i'll be Bane and you'll be Batman
Clone: I don't get it. (Krell breaks clones back) Ahh!! I get it!!
+Nath an Freiza: Let's play a game of paintball, just remove the "t".
+Nath an *In previous scene*
Krell: Lets play a game; I'll be the Joker and you'll be Batman.
Clones: I don't get it. (Krell tricks clones into firing on each other) Ahh!! I get it!!
Well, lucky for him he might not be dead...just in horrendous pain
General Jimmies underrated
When Rex talks about thinking for themselves, jeez that’s such an emotional moment, not to mention such a callout to when he disobeys Order 66. These episodes of the series are my favorite, there’s action, drama, betrayal, heroism. YES!
I love how Rex is so calm and never quick to attack.
Cool! The clones learned to make their own decisions...
And then, they killed almost every jedi, children included.
If only the chip wasn't there then Rex's believe wouldn't have been so ironic. I wonder if the chip was actually there in the prequels...
it was an order.. like every other one.
Andrés Pétur Axelsson The clones were like sleeper agents, as soon as they heard the emperor give order 66 they became evil.
Andrés Pétur Axelsson The Clone Wars is canon. So yes the chips were there in the prequels. Without the chips. The clones would hesitate to kill the jedi.
MegaDrainProductions sleeper agents huh? I'm calling major bullshit on that since the show was canon!
No, George Lucas decided to make Grievous like that so he could tie in with the film. Which was lame.
Darth Rhevar Dude it was seriously lame when they did that. Grievous was such a beast in the 2003 Clone Wars series -.- It's sad that they couldn't keep him in his prime for episode 3
I never liked krill
Krell
me to he is an asss many clones died thanks to him
+Ernesto Negron yep he's a huge dick to clones
+Clone Master he was an arsehole and traitor
+Darth Vader cull yep
His overconfidence would have been his downfall.
0:58 "Sir, you are now under arr- *dies*"
Like, what the fuck was he trying to accomplish.
Because his accuracy was poor he had to get closer. That or he thought he was Rambo
I don't know why the retards were running at a sith with two double light sabers spinning around
***** not really actually. I found out why krell did what he did
1:03 perfect time to kill the leader of this rebellion against him.
General Krell the racist jedi.
Going to pull the race card on a fucking kids series? Really?
+Matthew Brunette Going to ruin a joke with seriousness? Really?
+cadkls My apologies. I have trouble detecting when someone is joking due to the fact I have seen so many cases of utter stupidity.
Matthew Brunette I'll give you that.
+Matthew Brunette Good god man it was obviously a joke, let go of the hate.
Krell had such a cool and unique character design. It's a shame we never got to see him fight another lightsaber wielder. I would've loved to see how he would do against Savage Opress or General Grievous.
I feel like the message here was that despite being soldiers on the frontline, the clones were capable of taking down a jedi
@@SWDude2710 he was was very unoticeble as it was black, youd forget he was even wearing any
You can see the evolution to Stormtrooper beginning in this episode ark. They routinely showed far more brutality against the Umbarans more than any other episodes, and here, you see they have no problem, as a whole, attacking a Jedi and then to top it off the first graduates from the Stormtrooper School of Marksmanship have finally arrived.
But Krell was obviously a traitor, that is why they had no problem attacking him. It was either die or fight really.
They were pretty brutal against the Umbarans, though I'm not sure if that's really an evolution towards Stormtroopers or just how some Clone Troopers normally are.
As for Krell, he was actually the bad guy in this, not the clones.
Pending Storm But am I right about the arrival of the graduates from the Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy?
Zach Zier
I don't remember that part.
Zach Zier What are you talking about? :o
This show was so good. Why did it have to get cancelled? WHY, DISNEY, WHYYYYYY???? D:
missystar013 It wasn't really canceled, just ended. The arc it needed to show was over.
No, it got cancelled. They had at least 2 more seasons planned, and when Star Wars was bought by Disney, they cancelled the rest of the show.
missystar013 they cancelled the show for rebels to make way for SWE7
yaHazzi 77 and star wars rebels is an ass topped with shit
zane brown if you didn't watch season 1 yet
no just stop
Kinda cool that krell was sent there by the chancellor. Palpatine probably knew about krell and the things he was going to do, and so he wanted the 501st to experience it since they were the ones that were going to enter the jedi temple.
I wish we could’ve seen the jedi’s reaction to Krells actions, especially Anakin!
4 words....
Best. Lightsaber. Noises. Ever
I remember watching this when I was younger, I just found out that the same guy that voiced Krell is the same guy that voices Lee Everett in The Walking Dead game.
Dave Fennoy is his name
Maxwell Lecuyer He thought they were walkers sent by the Stranger to stop him from rescuing Clementine.
holy shit that is awesome thanks! :)
Younger you say that like this came out a long time ago, this was only 3 years ago.
Maxwell Lecuyer Lol
"You should have listened to the ARC Trooper from the beginning, Captain. He was right! I WAS using you."
That's some chilling foreshadowing right there. Especially considering Fives was the ARC Trooper in question, this line could have later been said by Palpatine himself.
I love this fight shows the power of krell and the brotherhood of the clones
I think that their biggest fuck up was greivous
santiago tamulis yeah it dont make sense in ep 3 they first meet it seems, btu it causes confusion during the clone wars series
all you guys hatin on the g's with four arms.....
na, just kidding....but what I find interesting is that General Krell and Dexter are from the same alien species and yet Dexter is the only one of his kind shown in the live action starwars films. Also, Is grievous a krell cyborg as he has four arms...I know for a fact that he wasn't originally a robot
Tom Ebbs nah hes not a krell he had the extra two implanted
Tom Ebbs no grievous was a kaleesh who was on the verge of death but saved by the CIS by putting his vital organs into a new cyborg body to help them fight the jedi whom he had a personal vendetta against for murdering his people.
he was then trained by count dooku to become the ultimate killing machine we know today (if you consider legends canon and not lucas version of grievous who was just a pansy)
This Krell guy has the same voice as Lee from the walking dead! :D
"I'm coming in! Don't shoot, I'm not an intruder...or one of *them*."
+Jonas Wichmann DAMN JUST NOTICED THAT!
+Jonas Wichmann clementine will remember that
+Jonas Wichmann THOR ON A TRICYLE! IT IS!
Wow I just realized that. Good catch.
this just proved krell could have surrvived order 66
DEATHKNIGHT5000 No actually because he already was expecting that.
"It's treason, then." same thing Palpatine said when Mace and the jedi masters confronted him.
what the fuck are they shooting at? how can you miss a giant frog with two glowing sticks!
they're all wearing those shitty visors i guess
Don't forget that even when he is a giant frog, he has those enhanced senses, agility and speed. So it's like he is fighting against a bunch of slow and clumpsy grandmas (With lasers!)
Clones have never been good shots
xD giant frog and two glowing sticks
xD what?
1:00
Guy twirling two double-sabers? Better rush toward him like a boss!
Palpatine: "It's treason then..."
Krell: *Am I a joke to you?* ...👀
the animation and lighting, and overall feel on this scene was awesome.
Anyone else lovin' the hum of those lightsabers?
Not if it's Krell, no.
Yup. Perfect for the big guys.
RIP strong spine the clone trooper: His back was snapped in half.
I like the sound that Pong Krell’s lightsabers make, the low buzzing/humming just sounds awesome.
a ferocious fighter, I would have loved to see Krell become a sith and embrace the darkside fully.
Those lightsaber sounds is
1:55 this is why Rex is in REBELS
this scene was here to prove exactly how the clones killed nearly all the jedis and this didn’t disappoint
This is truly one of the best arc s in swtcw
3:46 "Do-do-do-do, that's Bane!"
Krell was played by Dave Fennoy, who is also the same person that played Lee in the Walking Dead Game. Can't stop hearing this in Lee's voice . :3
Hahaha really? That's nuts, I kinda hear it now
o.O Really?!
Yeah. There's a bunch of interviews about him playing the part. I now see this as Lee being delusional and slaughtering the clones thinking they're walkers. XD
Holy shit you're right.
Dave Fennoy also plays Vol'Jin in World of Warcraft.
The sound of the lightsabers penetrating the clone armor is sooooooo beautiful. It makes the lightsabers seem so strong and shows just how thick that armor is. Easily my favorite part of this video, even better than the sound of his lightsabers humming around.
chronologically, you realise that Pong Krell is the first one to say "its treason then"
0:16 This was also Palpatine's exact words
yea
"You dare attack a Jedi!?"
Yes, yes, they do.
One of my most favorite story arcs of the series, showed the troopers standing up for themselves and their own wellbeings
Omg, this show was so amazing, i remember when the Umbara episodes came out, those 3 were some of the craziest episodes. I love this shows ability to always 1 up the last episode or season.
