Blue rice is call NASI KERABU it come with its own gravy and veggie that you have to mix it all together before you eat it, and you can choose chicken, beef or fish to complete the dish. The blue color is from the butterfly pea flower, merely only for coloring. NASI LEMAK is rice that cooked with coconut milk, it makes the rice taste a bit creamy and the standard serving is rice, fried anchovies, slices of cucumber, boiled egg and sambal (dried chillii paste), But you can choose chicken, beef and other dish that the seller offer to eat along with the nasi lemak. 🤗

Nasi Lemak is the national dish normally its just coconut rice, peanuts and anchovies, eggs and cucumber but these days you can add Ayam berempah (spiced chicken). Its not chicken floss its actually lemon grass blend with turmeric curry leaves and other spices. Lemon grass is only in Southeast Asia. The blue rices is colored with butterfly pea should have normal rice taste and it comes with a type of fish sauce. The chips is Kerupuk a type of fish cracker.

Your fathers rice is nasi lemak. The blue rice is not nasi lemak. It is nasi kerabu & u should mix the gravy & veggie with the rice , then eat with the chicken. Ask the locals where to get good food. Hope Malaysia is ok for u.

should also be mentioned, the main feature of nasi lemak is its coconut milk rice... without it, it would not be called nasi lemak... if you say the rice is the same as other dishes, you are wrong. that's what sets it apart from other dishes. and it is Malaysians national dish... and you need to ask what the best way to eat malaysian food... for me personally, nasi kerabu needs to be mixed first. without mixing it up, you're missing something... and it has become the culture of Malaysians to eat with their hands... for me it tastes better and the digestive system is smoother.

Жасыл күріш NASI KERABU деп аталады, ол өзінің соусы мен көкөнісімен келеді, оны жемес бұрын бәрін араластыру керек және тағамды аяқтау үшін тауық, сиыр немесе балықты таңдауға болады.

Next time you can ask the local how to eat traditional foods. If you eat the wrong way its will taste not good but if you eat the right ways it felt delicious and heavenly. Eat Nasi lemak mix with sambal and the peanut anchovies. Used spoon not fork to scoop the rice.

What i notice here, foreigners and tourists always used fork to scoop rice.you should use the spoon to scope the rice and put in your mouth.the fork is to contain and take the food.like we used fork to contain the beef and we used knife to cut.isnt it easy to use spoon to scope the food?huhuuu…anyways nice family get together.so happy watching both of you loving and caring your father and father in law like this.entertain him and giving him happiness❤❤❤Welcome to our beautiful country Malaysia..multi culture and peaceful country.no racism and people can live along together with different race, skin colour and religion…❤

Nasi Lemak is totally pure Malay traditional dish la.. all that condiment not represent any ethnics in Malaysia.. most chinese xmakan pedas how can sambal represent chinese?? anchovies abviously is not familiar to indian food.. so just let roti canai as Msian indian cuisine, bakuteh belong to Msian chinese and for sure Nasi Lemak as originaly by the Malays.. jgn ikut teori namewee habis smua Malay culture kena kongsi2.. tang culture dorg xble sentuh... kuih2 tradisional Melayu pun byk dh di'nyonyakan'.. smpi generasi baru pun xtahu sbnarnya kuih asli Melayu.. ✌
