when you started playing a C major chord, i was imagining you were singing let it be suddenly you said When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Brenda, phenomenal!!!❤❤ I am an adult player, former guitar player who loves using chords or lead sheets. I've been looking for 3 years on the internet for this exact content. Most teacher instruct in Jazz. I think there is a tremendous demands for pop voicings. I can't wait to dive into your playlist. Question - how do you handle arpeggios when you have 7th chords or 4 note chords. Obviously you can't do 1 5 3 1 etc. Are examples of those in the Playlist? Do you have a pops voicing course?? Many thanks for great material!!!❤🎉
Thanks for a fantastic tutorial. Is it possible to learn from your course in a different role/way? Change the word “singer” to “melody or right hand”. It appears that your method requires both hands to play the accompaniment. Can I do both with my left hand. Instead of singing, can I not play the melody on the piano with my right hand? Of course your method is great for singers, but why not for pianist as well? Or is it already taught in your course.
Thank you Brenda, I am a guitarist, and I will be sharing this tutorial with my new keyboardist who is new to playing in a band situation. He is very keen and is self-taught, he reads quite well, plays classical piano by sight reading but, has no experience playing in an accompaniment situation. Further to that, he has no idea how to play lead breaks which is another of the skills he will need from him."do you have any tutorials I can share with him on improvisation on Keys?" We are very keen to give him a good chance at playing in our working band. Good Keyboardists are pretty thin on the ground here in Australia.

Nice video, thanks! Only thing that would make better is to have both your voice and piano in both speakers. It’s strange to hear your voice in my left year and piano on the left. But the content was great.
I can sing in tune if I'm playing something on the piano that includes the melody but if I try to accompany myself with chords my voice will lose the tune and sing whatever is the top note I'm playing. I guess I need singing lessons as well as learning to play accompaniment!
I discovered you and I'm amazed by ur videos. What a master u r! I just applied Ur advices and tips and u r simply wonderful! Thanks a lot for all ur content.
Seriously I've been playing piano for about 2 months but I've been playing guitar for about 30 years so pretty much I'm following your videos and I'm picking it up pretty quick. You explain it extremely well
Could you please explain when to use the different techniques. I am trying to learn how to accompany myself so I can play and sing Barry Manilow songs.
Hi Brenda, thank you so much for this channel!! Would love to be able to accompany myself singing At Last by Etta James and have been checking for years but there are no good tutorials here on UA-cam. Thanks again for the great content 🙌
Which chords are you playing dear you're NOT naming the letters.. NOT a bad lesson just NOT sure which keynotes played or chords because NOT specific.. Very FEW people on the internet are really good teachers because they are very detailed missing nothing! Well explained when they do TUTORIALS! 🍐🍎🍐🍎🍐
Hi there! This video is about the rhythms not the notes. I am teaching rhythmic patterns and playing the songs so you can hear them in context. I have plenty of other tutorials on my channel where I’m talking more about notes and chords. You’ll love them!
