Let me start off by saying, I am a one person operator; that is to say I do all the filming, presenting, editing and running of the web site and youtube. I also do all the travel alone, so every video you see here is just me...alone. Second, there is no budget. I get no funding everything you see comes out of my pocket and my own time. Third, on the matter of someone younger and more attractive see point one. Fourth, I film in 1080p and put it on youtube in 720p because no one watches 1080p
Ali Kubach I've rewatched Bob's review. The way he is describing the ride and the car in general is exactly how i felt driving back from the dealer. Mine is the 140 bhp, and is enough, trust me :).
***** do you know that the CC is also available with the Quattro? (177hp 2.0 TDI 5 - 6,5l per kilometer) The problem with the MMI is, that the system is pretty much an old one. I am a huge Audi fan,to buy an A5 for more money with less stuff in it is not worth it though - but that is just my opinion. You should also not compare the CC to the A4. The A4 is smaller than the CC. CC vs A5 Sportback is acceptable, never mind that the A4 and A5 have the same body work. If you want to compare the A4 with a VW car, take the Passat, it's the same class. BUT that fact is absolutely true, Audi cars are more refined and more sporty but also more seen on the streets. You should always take a look at the money you have to pay. CC got almost all you can get in there from the factory, like bi-xenon headlamps, parking pilot, seat heaters for the front seats, navigation system and so on. By Audi cars you have to pay extra for all that stuff.
Leasing my third VW CC. I've had no problems, but all joy. VW scheduled maintenance has been reduced from 3/36 to 12/12. The '15 is sleeker, quieter, more refined and better equipped than the '09. Sweet looks, performance, and deal all around.
Bob as a yank with a slightly modified CC I have to say great review! People don't know how great these cars are. Every time I look at a 550i I think of your excitement for the CC and realize my love for my car is justified. Keep up the great work sir.
I bought a 2010 Black CC and I loved it so much that when the newly redesigned model came out in 2012 I got the 2013 model CC Sport Luxe Model with DSG. My previous car was a BMW 5 Series and before that a Mercedes E Class AMG. Even though those other cars were much more powerful and obviously had a more prestigious badge, hands down the CC is still my favorite. I honestly wanted the Merc CLS but I just didn't want to be spending all that money in a car so I compromised and got the CC and I've been very happy. I've been driving the CC now for almost 5 years, without any mechanical problems except the passenger side window going down on its own. (I've had it checked at VW and they couldn't figure out the problem) I get excellent gas mileage and my 2013 VW CC has now reached 41K miles. So far I've only done oil changes and maintenance (only free until 30K miles). 3 years later I still get comments from people how gorgeous this car is (I got the black brown metallic color). The new CC is coming out and I'm debating whether to get a BMW again cuz I've been driving the CC for so long now but frankly I'm very happy with this car. The fuel economy, the two tone interior, the great sound system and responsiveness of the car has been a pure joy to drive.

Fantastic review! Considering replacing my '06 BMW 325 w. lux & sport package for a '13 Volkswagen CC Sport 2.0T w. DSG. You've pretty much sealed the deal! Thank you.
Great review! I just bought a 2010 CC Sport with 13k miles on it and it's spot-on how Bob Flavin experienced it. A real looker too. Thumbs up to VW for great styling, engineering and build.
Without doubt the best looking Volkswagen ever. I had seven (7) of these in a row as a company car. Beautiful car. The seat must have been the Irish spec. Mine all had electric 6 way adjusting seats. Also the DSG gearbox is great - I worked in London, couldn't do the left leg pumping - mine used to do 45-50 MPG (Diesel).
Very nice review Bob! The exterior intro you made pointed really good aspects and the editing was very good too. Its good to see how truly this car affected you and your team in a very positive final result for us viewers, fulling us with superb and honest information mixed with wonderful, simples but well done entertainment. Can't wait for the final review of the Toyota GT86 and hope for a review of CT200h F Sport :) Keep up the awsome work!
Love (LOVE) my 2016 RLine CC. Best car i have ever owned and the only one i catch myself looking back at in the parking lot when i walk away. When my warranty expires i will chip it and have even more fun.
I love my 2010 CC! I get the "nice Mercedes" compliment almost daily, the best part is when you proudly laugh and say "it's a VW". People usually double take at that. The problem with ours in the states is that we don't get the diesel, just the 2.0t and the 3.6 4motion. I can wholeheartedly say that it's one of the best cars I've driven because it's composed, balanced, and quick when you want it to be. It truly is a livable car. Even the 2.0t that I have can get roughly 800 miles out of a tank.
I said that because of the song in the intro,it's the same track as in Dr. House :). You are the most interesting reviewer I've ever seen or listened to. Great job.
Hi Bob, I live on the back of the Pennines in Lancashire and for the past four years have been driving a seven year-old Merc E-Class. At the time I lusted after a "lightly-used" CLS, but my experience with the combination of rear-wheel drive, automatic gear-box and the bleak, icy mid Pennine-winter changed my mind. Then there's fuel-economy. I'd almost decided on the very CC that you drove, but now my mind has been made up. Thanks so much for your help. Best wishes, Peter
Cheers, I'm glad you like the videos. There's nothing like a bit of hindsight to make you realise a mistake, while there's something very cool about the Challenger it does lake the style and refinement of the CC
love the review so much just orded a cc gt 2013, take delivery august once they have built all my options into what is already a fantastic looking car.Thank you for your review keep up the great work
Before you get these optional wheels, take a look at them @4:52 and @7:14 It's a wheel that imitates a fan. On driver side it extracts air, on passenger side scoops the air inwards. It's a nightmare to rotate your tires. yet they are an identical set of wheels.
Amazing mate, I have a Passat 2.0L TDI with 148 BHP (2019) and like you said god knows where it gets the economy from because I can easily achieve 55MPG in the UK, so glad I didn't go for a 1.6 because the extra power is there when I need it !!!
I own a CC diesel with 150,000 miles on the clock. Its been fairly reliable but now starting to let me down on a regular basis. Also had the radio / Nav unit stolen 4 times now, which is common in Leeds area apparently.Wish I had got the 18 inch alloys and not the 19 inch, as the ride can be a bit harsh around town.Always go for the DSG gearbox, which in my opinion makes this car fun to drive.
Great review, Bob. Your appreciation for the car mirrors my own. I Wish we got the diesel CC in the U.S. I've owned my 2013 CC VR6 4Motion for about two months, and it's the finest, most sublime car I've ever owned. Just got back from a road trip from neighboring Oregon and found I could easily drive several hours without feeling fatigued. It just eats up the highway miles! I also get lots of compliments from strangers. Most have no clue what it is until they see the corporate badge. Love it!
Hey Bob, nice review. I just test drove one of these today. Awesome car! I know you did this review about a year ago but do you remember if it was difficult or not to get a baby seat in the back seat? Thanks.
Hi Bob, Thank you for this very lively and down to earth test drive and review. I enjoy it very much. I wonder whether you could do a similar review of VW's Tdi 320 Caddy Maxi Life Comfortline 4 motion people mover? I have not come across a comprehensive review of this vehicle and I think you are the one to do it. Thank you in advance.
I really like your reviews, thanks for uploading. I have one question yo ask. I can´t decide if I should get the Tiguan or the Volkswagen cc? You say both are very good cars, but which one is more reliable and fun to drive? Thanks
Thank you Bob. For advice and for your work - I like your passion and professionalism. This is a great presentation - almost as good as the one related to AlfaRomeo :).
Thanks very much, I'm glad you like the videos. I'll ask Mercedes if there's anything around but I don't think AMG models are top of the list in Ireland at the moment!
An entertaining review! He missed out a few bits about the CC like the generous size of the boot, the comfort options, the differences with the R-Line version (which is more powerful), and some of the snags like how how water 💦 run off from the windscreen can enter the into the interior if you’ve got your window slightly or fully down (when using the wipers), or the annoying issue of the key fob boot open button being accidentally pressed if you have your keys in your pocket. I own a late 2015 R-Line CC which is very comfortable with full leather interior, heated front seats, climate control, 6 speed tiptronic/steptronic gear changing, DVD player/Sat-Nav/DAB radio etc as standard, which I’ve had from new, so whilst it does have its good points, there are things about the car which I think VW could have got right before releasing the model although they are very minor issues.
Hi, Thanks for your reviews. I am planning to buy a VW cc or BMW 3 series. I don't know which one to choose. I have seen both of your presentations, and you seem to like VW cc better. I had a 3 series 10 years ago and I loved it. After that I had a Saab 95, which was great. I have always had a manual, but now I am considering automatic. Does this make a difference.
I found your channel just couple of days ago and I am catching up watching video after video. I love your reviews as you talk about cars as I would like to hear. Just one thing - can you please, please show the interior a bit more - at least the drivers view of it to have the see and feel of a driver. Great job - I am your new subscriber :)
I had that as upgrade rental car. We had so much luggage and the baby pram. no problem at all - the trunk is huge. Good we had the automatic, parking sensors, and the advanced (live) naive. Together it was so easy and cool to drive straight from the airport after a long flight. eats the autobahn kilometres and like the french countryside!
Bob, I need your help! I was rather convinced for Audi A6 but after your review I have doubts. What's your advice - Audi A6 177BHP 2.0 TDI Multitronic + some basic equipment (with options NavigationPlus, leather standard seats) or VW CC 2.0 TDI 177bhp DSG - almost full option.
Nice review Bob, what do you make of the previous CC model, the 2009/10 one. Looking at getting one of those because I think VW ruined the front of it with that new Passat front grill. In terms of mechanical and interior differences, there isn't much change between both models sure there isn't?
Sorry for my spelling in advance. TSI direct injection cases valves to be clogged and also the EGR has a tendency to be clogged and this can happen for example (not even worst case) every 30000 km and the engine has to be cleaned, this will happen for all sooner or later (100%). "Old style" injection always keeps the valves clean = better for reliability.DSG in petrol versions has a tendency to break down "any time" and the construction hasn't still been fixed (will it ever be?).
I'd love to get a chance at making something for TV, it would give me a budget for a start because my videos are made by just me and I don't spend money on them so if this is what I can do with no money imagine what would happen if I had something to spend on them! I'm glad you like the videos, best of luck with the new car next year.
@Sherukka I haven't driven CC. But last year when i was shopping for car i came very close to ordering a Jetta. Personally i prefer manual transmission. The only drawback with VW is that you have to wait for some time to get one.
@@wesley8096 I didn't buy one in the end. The one I wanted to buy I found out the seller still had finance on it which he did not tell me about. In the end I went with an Audi A6.
@@aquddus1907 Also a decent choice, less sporty but massively comfortable I reckon. For hobby I have its predecessor, an audi 100 and even though its 30 years old its still comfortable as fuck

I own a 2013 cc v6 4-motion and totally love it . Im now retired and worry some moron with no insurance will run into me . My car has only 44 k miles on it and drives like new . There is nothing if i had to replace it with the luxury & value and options for the same money out there .
I've been the proud owner of a 2008 CC for the last four years. I'm still as enthousiastic about it as Bob is... ;-) However, I feel the new CC is a little less beautiful as the original one (especially the front) so I decided to order a BMW 320d Touring, also because the lesser taks for the BMW. I'm yet to find out if I like the BMW as much as the CC...
Maybe UK standard program set? I researched it and there is a VSCD? program change that can change fob allocations. Locks, windows, lights, starting engine. When I go in for 30 day satisfaction dealer check up I'll see if they can modify it. Cheers, Das Auto!
We always know when your enjoying a car by your emotions and expressions. How would it compare to the A4 or A5 is it up their with the big boys ? As ever a great job and if you ever want a day off give me a shout Bob and I'll do the test . Daz
IT is the best CC review on the YT. i have watched it before buying my 2014 Black oak highline. love it it is a VW that makes You feel good. and I should know as an BMW driver
I don't know about you bob but in my Passat for a big car the steering is as light as a feather without it being twitchy not sure how the CC compares but my god its good.
their sisters the main differneces are interior and exterior style they share the same platform but the vw will come with more options as standard but the a5 can come with 3.0l v6
What a tasteful review! Mr. FLAVIN's choice of words gives a UNIQUE flavour to the show. Moreover the music "Teardrop(Massive Attack)" adds to the mesmerizing quotient (MQ) of the VW CC! Deepu Joy, India
I'd love to do something on TV but there's no offers coming my way. You'll love the new car, GT is great. Yes I do need all those things, fire away lol!
I was so waiting for this review....I drove this car the other day and couldn't agree more. I actually struggle to believe this car came from VW. ? Is there anything you didn't like about the CC Keep the great reviews coming.
VW Ireland recently did a complete overhaul of the servicing system here, there's much more affordable pricing now. Maybe thery'll roll something out in Aus like that too

I think this car is verry underrated, it is waaaay better than the a4... perhaps because people think vw is a cheap automaker or so...
i see
True... but cc looks better
It looks more luxurious, a4 is great, of courseni would take it over the cc, the cc looks more luxurious than the audi but unfortunately its not

Curve! My favorite band! Good vid too. Approaching middle age, can't decide on CC or GTI for the next car.
@Sherukka I haven't driven CC. But last year when i was shopping for car i came very close to ordering a Jetta. Personally i prefer manual transmission. The only drawback with VW is that you have to wait for some time to get one.
Glad I could help, thanks Peter!
Super review... convinced me finally after endless comparisons. Thanks so much Bob...... Now I just need to find a good used example :)
And... Did it meet your expextations?
@@wesley8096 I didn't buy one in the end. The one I wanted to buy I found out the seller still had finance on it which he did not tell me about. In the end I went with an Audi A6.
@@aquddus1907 Also a decent choice, less sporty but massively comfortable I reckon. For hobby I have its predecessor, an audi 100 and even though its 30 years old its still comfortable as fuck
@@wesley8096 several years later now and have changed to a two car policy. BMW Z4 3.0 for me and a Honda CRV for the family. Both petrol both very good for the purpose they were bought for!
@@aquddus1907 yes, best of both worlds.. that bmw 6 in line is smooth as hell.
great review / bob is one of the best
I own a 2013 cc v6 4-motion and totally love it . Im now retired and worry some moron with no insurance will run into me . My car has only 44 k miles on it and drives like new . There is nothing if i had to replace it with the luxury & value and options for the same money out there .
I've been the proud owner of a 2008 CC for the last four years. I'm still as enthousiastic about it as Bob is... ;-)
However, I feel the new CC is a little less beautiful as the original one (especially the front) so I decided to order a BMW 320d Touring, also because the lesser taks for the BMW.
I'm yet to find out if I like the BMW as much as the CC...
I can't decide on which colour! - black, island grey or candy white???
Well done, you chose very well!
What do you think of the latest Saab 9-5? Could you test one?
Like the comment you made with regards to "I drive a VW" that is so true
My mother owned a 91 jetta for over a decade. never any issues.
Thanks very much!
fair point, thank you for the response and keep up the good work, a car review channel to look forward to :)
Nice review!! Very nice car!! Well done!!
Maybe UK standard program set? I researched it and there is a VSCD? program change that can change fob allocations. Locks, windows, lights, starting engine. When I go in for 30 day satisfaction dealer check up I'll see if they can modify it. Cheers, Das Auto!
You are very kind, I'm delighted you could join us happy band of motoring heads. Loads more to come!
We always know when your enjoying a car by your emotions and expressions. How would it compare to the A4 or A5 is it up their with the big boys ? As ever a great job and if you ever want a day off give me a shout Bob and I'll do the test . Daz
Can the VW CC be compared with Audi A5 Sportback? if so, which one is better? because in the NEtherlands they both start around 38,000 Euros!!!!
IT is the best CC review on the YT. i have watched it before buying my 2014 Black oak highline. love it it is a VW that makes You feel good. and I should know as an BMW driver
Cheers Fella!
I drive a 2010 CC 2.0t and I absolutely love it. My friend has an Audi A4 and the CC is much much nicer.
Thank you!
I don't know about you bob but in my Passat for a big car the steering is as light as a feather without it being twitchy not sure how the CC compares but my god its good.
The grill of the CC in the Passat would look so good
this car is so nice 👌
Thanks Steve, I'm glad we're not all the same..although there is a few trying to copy now lol
Thanks!
their sisters the main differneces are interior and exterior style they share the same platform but the vw will come with more options as standard but the a5 can come with 3.0l v6
This is definitely my next vw for sure
Excellent review, super car!
What a tasteful review! Mr. FLAVIN's choice of words gives a UNIQUE flavour to the show. Moreover the music "Teardrop(Massive Attack)" adds to the mesmerizing quotient (MQ) of the VW CC!

I'd love to do something on TV but there's no offers coming my way. You'll love the new car, GT is great. Yes I do need all those things, fire away lol!
I was so waiting for this review....I drove this car the other day and couldn't agree more. I actually struggle to believe this car came from VW. ?
Is there anything you didn't like about the CC
Keep the great reviews coming.
VW Ireland recently did a complete overhaul of the servicing system here, there's much more affordable pricing now. Maybe thery'll roll something out in Aus like that too
Great review... fancy that - someone actually gives an opinion instead of just features. Thanks
good point
Bob, any plans on reviewing the new BMW 1/3 series?
And great review, as always :).
smooth as silk
HOUSE sound track intro :)
Which one is quiter and comfi? Mercedes C class or VW CC?
I had no idea, he's a man with great taste obviously. Although if you watch him in Blackadder you might get a different opinion
