I don’t have one on hand to try but next time I’m around one I’ll give it a go. I’m pretty sure it won’t fit especially because of the battery pack connector protruding out the bottom. The MK3 is better because it clears the bottom so you can unplug it versus unplugging it at the goggle. If the goggle is staying on the helmet, I prefer unplugging the cable at the pack, as it dangles better there versus up front
We do not sell the weights by themselves because if we did they'd be sold out and we wouldn't have enough for the MK1s, lol. Depending on inventory, etc. we can sometimes add them to customer orders at TNVC on a case-by-case basis.
It comes with four lead weights and each lead strip weights about 2.9oz so just under 12oz. If you factor batteries in, the battery sleeve holds six batteries, energizer Lithium L91 AAs are 0.5oz and so are CR123As, so that's another +3oz. I personally recommend not accounting for batteries as necessary weight but rather as extra on top of the amount of weight that balances your helmet. This is because if you need to resupply batteries in a hurry, etc. you will likely not have time to reinsert it into the MK1, and if you're in a "situation" the last thing you want is to start having your nods droop on you.
Mohawk MK3 G2 = battery pack pouch for the L3Harris BNVD (AN/PVS-31) and BNVD-1531 Cold Weather Battery Pack (CWB). Also will fit the GPNVG 4 cell CR123A battery pack.
These things rule. The battery insert is great and you can remove and reinsert it yourself without taking the helmet off.
thanks for watching & commenting brother. I’m a fan and watch your channel as well. Appreciate it 👍

This was super helpful as a newbie in the game. Thank you!
MK1 got here today, love it. I found with DTNVS 3 weights and a battery tray full of 123's is just about perfect
👍👍
Thanks for this, Will. This info made it easy to know what I needed, bought 7 of them from you yesterday!
Good deal. Thank you sir 🤙
Thanks again for putting all this info out
🤙
I put my ExFog unit in mine to keep my goggles from fogging up (airsoft).
I can’t say for sure as I don’t have them, but I believe the original gpnvg 4 cell battery pack fits in the MK 1

@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION it might work if you filp the battery so the plug runs through the top of the sleeve, but I can’t say it would work for sure
Thanks for the video. What’s the length for the usb C cord for the thermal vision?
I recommend at least 24” for enough to route and strain relief
MkI fits my counterweight better. Good stuff.
🤙
Always I cut and keep the batteries pouch
The “Jenner” mod 😮
Would it be dumb to run a PVS battery pack on the Mohawk part itself on the mk1?
@@TristenSummitt I don’t think so if it’s functional but it might look a little off
is it possible to also put weights in the pouch with the battery pack on the MK 3?
Yessir I did a video on it ua-cam.com/video/EBhUOT1nl4M/v-deo.html
Well, im not gonna lie. I bought the correct mohawk. But I wish I had seen this video beforehand because i almost didnt get the right one.
Will the Velcro on my team windy helmet bump cover secure this?
It should. You may need to move it up a little so more of the velcro of the hawk part attaches to the loop on top
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION thanks
Which one should I run with my rnvg?
MK1 if not using any battery pack. MK2 if using the ABNV LPBP-GO battery pack
What's the internal dimensions for the mk1
Can you buy the lead weights separately?

How much weight does the Mk1 come with?

What if I want to run an l3 battery pack and counterweight?
Ops-Core counterweight or similar with Mohawk on top or:

Any idea if these will work with a BNVD style battery pack?
Mohawk MK3 G2 = battery pack pouch for the L3Harris BNVD (AN/PVS-31) and BNVD-1531 Cold Weather Battery Pack (CWB). Also will fit the GPNVG 4 cell CR123A battery pack.
“BNVD” is used by a few different manufacturers. Whose is it?
Jrh enterprises
Should’ve watched this before buying Mk2 lol
We spent millions building lighter helmets to develop the fast helmet. Then soldiers add lead weight.😖
This is what i want right now! Thanks for video.
