Peyton Reinkemeyer the tank was an original Yamaha 2003 brand new from Yamaha themselves, they luckily could get hold of one for me. I used polisport restyle plastics that go straight on, however, they will not fit your 2000 as they’re for yamahas 2002 onwards as they changed the steel subframe to alloy in 2002 and also the tank shape and design hope this helps
Peyton Reinkemeyer no mate they changed to frame in 2005 to alloy so they are completely different design and shape to your steel frame. They changed the sub frame to alloy only in 2002 - onwards which is what the restyle kit fit. So restyle kit is for 2002-2015.
Max Mazzetti the 2015 graphics and onwards fit directly onto the plastics. The only thing you have to mention when getting custom graphics is to change the fork guards to the year of your bike as they don’t come with the restyle kit. Hope this helps 👍

Raamonjo wasn’t cheap mate, got carried away with it tbh, but it was my first restore/build and I couldn’t have been happier. Learnt a lot.

how much was your gas tank? and where did you find it? ive been looking for one but most have been oversized tanks and extremely expensive.
Adam Durbin I got it direct from Yamaha, they ordered it from japan and was actually a lot cheaper than I expected. I paid £130 GBP
