@@jimreeves5212 Yea, our winningest coach with zero playoff appearances, a shared B1G Ten title, and certainly no championships. If you coach at the same program for 26 years and are getting paid millions, I would hope you were at least having winning seasons.

I tink it's a serious time to discuss Kirk Ferentz being let go. Twenty five years n not even close to playing for any national championship or even in the the conversation. There comes a point where ya have no choice but to put your old horse out to pasture n ride a younger n fresher one, I believe Iowa has reached that moment. His conservative play calling has wasted great defenses n has held Iowa back to new n better things, this isn't 2002 anymore ya MUST have a competent passing game to be relevant n Iowa won't have one as long as he's the head coach.

Cade is effective with quick, short passes to his primary target (i.e., basically, using the pass as part of the running game). On the other hand, Cade is very inconsistent with the longer timing passes. This is a problem when the team needs go play action and throw down the field to keep defenses honest, extend drives, hold on to the ball with the lead, etc. Iowa needs a LOT better QB play. It will make all the difference.
Great point about Cade not running, and it’s one of the reasons why I think Sullivan gives us a better chance to win. At a minimum, Sullivan is willing and able to run and extend plays. This was one of the most frustrating games I’ve ever watched.
Huge surprise that with Kirk back on the sideline that we go ultra conservative only up by 13 with a entire half of football left and with all the momentum. We have 1-2 unacceptable loses a year because we refuse to put a team away. Stubborn to a fault. Great guy but win or lose watching Iowa football is a miserable time and I look less forward to football season every year. Sucks. Use to be so excited for it now it just seems like a routine I’m forced to do.

Kamari Moulton is NOT ready yet, not strong enough yet.. not saying he won’t be, but he isn’t strong enough to break the arm tackles he needs to run through… He can get there, but those there were many wasted Kamari plays called.
Not to go jumbo , tighten the splits and power run right at that LB depleted ISU defense on the 2 1st and goal series was the game, Tim Lester and not pulling Cade for Sullivan cost Iowa the game, worst Coached Iowa game since taking a knee at OSU . i am done with this Staff
They'll stick with Cade and blow more games. They didn't pay him over a million a year to come here to sit down. Bad investment on damaged goods!

Its only the 2nd game with a new offense/coordinator. Run game has opened up, rushing over 200 yards! Thats big ten player of the week numbers. This team is more fun to watch.
Losing to a good team, early in the season isnt the end of the world.
They can use this motivation.
Iowa is the better team and they just lost their way out of playoff potential unless they beat Ohio State (which won’t happen). 2 loss Iowa doesn’t make playoff.

My season hopes are still there, but only by a thread and only if Cyclones go to the Big 12 championship to make that loss look good. If we take care of business 9-3 still a chance but a very unlikely chance. We will lose to Ohio State and probably Nebraska.
Iowa State was keying on Lachey and bracketing him all game long. Iowa should have accepted that and gone elsewhere knowing they were committing 2 pass defenders to Lachey. But no! They had to keep forcing it!
Can't believe people want to fire kirk! Look at other teams, like Nebraska who have gone through coach after coach and not even a minor bowl game
