this soundtrack been growing on me lately, more and more. I keep coming back to this video to listen again and again, its really good as ambience music, to work or just to enjoy :)
I felt the vibe as soon as I entered the Villa and you get at the office and then there is the big chair with the Eridium dust on the desk and the sunset portrait in the back, I just thought, Tony fucking Montana.
@@MyRedHulk still waiting for that day! With all 4 VHs and all the gear that is available now those 150 runs i did are probably gonna be 1000 this time!
Gearbox outdid themselves with this event. Everything from the level, the bosses, the legendaries, and especially the music is just spot on. Any kid from the 80s will be hit hard by that nostalgia wave, and that alone will serve as a reason to keep returning to the house that Joey built.
Really memorable experience. Sliding down to the entrance, serene ambiance. And even when that hectic combat begins, it manages to keep the mood chill.
You know an event is good, when it is literally you doing the same thing over, and over, and over....yet you still enjoy it like it was your first time.
@@trashythedemon4867 parts of it definitely are, but I dont think the whole thing is, it just mostly seems like it's supposed to be a sort of psuedo 80s action movie down to scanlines in the sky. Very similar to Far Cry blood dragon in that respect
@@DenseMass well bl2 had a fantastic story and so did the pre sequels but I think no one plays bl3 for the story (I skipped i the cutscenes and muted Lilith )
I always liked to imagine that on "uninvited guests 2", the very small guitar part at 14:43 was the player hearing the first part of the "Can you feel the flames of Joey Ultraviolet" with the same guitar-riff(?) at 16:53, and by the time they reach Joey, he would've disposed of that enemy, and you are next.

These songs and the in-game content are too good to be a "seasonal event" or anything of the sorts. You get one of, if not the best soundtracks in the entire game mixed with a fantastic, badass mansion filled with mini bosses until it all culminates in a massive boss fight with 4 bosses at once.
Some of these just makes me wanna sit on a cliff overlooking the sea at night, moon out, the stars, both reflected onto to waters surface. Listening to the faint gust of wind mixed with the gentle crashing of waves and slowly falling onto my back and looking up at the stars... Wondering whats truly out there. Life man...life.
I love the music so much that before the event expired I streamed an hour long segment with only music so I can listen to an extended soundtrack at any time. Fun times.
Honestly, this event was when I felt the game began it's turnaround from launch. It is still my favorite location to raid because of the 80s vibe the track has and how rewarding it is.
So I was very high and got into this event, I just got instant couchlock and was drifting away while playing through on auto-pilot. They really outdid themselves lol
To this day i still cant believe how one free update became my favorite content in bl3. The Music in this is just pure vibing i love "Last Call" the most.
Hold my Mai Thai is the epitome of 80s feelings wrapped up in electronic music. Also, the last track, Sunset on Cartel Island gives me a STRONG Neverending Story vibe. The team working on this did an amazing job on this soundtrack.
That last song hits so beautifully, i loved the borderlands series, even though this one had tons of problems, the lore, the characters, the worlds… truly beuatiful
It's good to hear they brought it back. I've had some insanely good times with a buddy of mine in the past, and going here was the best thing ever. Really truly good times, thanks Gearbox. I grew up in the 90's but this music still hits in a nostalgic way.
This event was honestly my favorite so far that was limited time and I hope it makes a return so we can get yellowcake and the OPQ-system at max level amongst other gear. The Fishslap grenade was always fun for ammo replenishing haha
Villa ultraviolet was perfect, perfect view, grand and opulent architecture, complex and varied layout, it was beautiful. If ever I could live at a location in a game it would be Villa Ultraviolet.
I love studying video game soundtracks because of their weird nature. Like trying to tell the story through music when the music is asynchronous from the gameplay is such a unique challenge and I think you guys pulled it off well. Also, Sean Daniel sent me :)
This music really is incredible. On its own I could listen to it on repeat for days. In-game, it's absolutely perfect for Revenge of the Cartels. Dead on. Well done all around!!!
That cassette 'wow' and 'flutter' improves an incredible soundtrack to one that will transport you to the past. Top 10 videogame soundtracks of all time for me
In the game, after listening to these nostalgic music, I have been searching the composer online, and finally found it. Thank you Finishing Move Inc. I will continue to support you and do well!
Wow man, it has kind of dark feeling to it, but then it suddenly breaks out of that and gets you going. I can understand how this can be used in a game
This isn’t usually the type of music I listen to....but I will be playing it while at work tomorrow. I bet it’ll grow on me...especially listening to the guitar parts
It took me a while to start playing 3. While I was disappointed with the story for the most part, the gameplay and additional content kept me coming back. This event in particular is one of the best things to come from the series, and I'm so happy that it can be done again at anytime!
Thanks for listening here and supporting our official channel!
This is amazing! Where can I buy the album? I found you on bandcamp but couldn’t find the album there.
one of the few soundtracks worth buying, i bought it as soon as it was released

Favorite soundtrack from the game. Cant believe theres a whole 30 minutes of it.
This entire DLC is a Scarface reference and it is fantastic.
I agree
Has a Hotline vibe to it too

The DLC is fucking brilliant!
Yes i love it
I'm pretty sure i played through that cartel event more than 150 times, and I'm ready to do it again whenever it comes back. I love it.
It made such good memories. Honestly, the best times ever were right there, in that blissful mansion of goonies.

It should be coming back in a few days. They said it's an annual event, after all, and last year it started late April and went on till June.

This event is better than most of the game... shame its so limited in time
tempted to redownload the game just to play this DLC
I like the part from 0:00 to 26:57
Rip that last second
That's my favorite part, too bad it feels too short. Maybe they'll release an extended division?
Aww but 26:58 was my favourite part
the other parts were much better
