Hoglins are afraid of the warped fungus block, not the item, so keeping one on your off hand IS useful, but you have to place it nearby when in trouble to make them flee

the blue mushrooms are only scary when placed in the world. They can't hurt you if a player holds them in their hand...but beware his weird tusks (they're, like, malformed and growing out of his hands...).
I love the nether too. The nether is less likely like hell because of the 1.16 update. We still have the flat regular nether biome. The lush red fungal forest of the crimson with hoglins serving as yummy yummy pork chop. And piglins that are happy to barter with you. The blue forest for hanging out and getting pearls from Endermen and cool wood types. The desert with soul sand with ghasts and skeletons and even ancient fossils that died due to the dryness. And finally a volcanic biome with basalt and black stone roamed by molten magma cubes that exists. This dimension is a cool alien world with interesting biomes. It is all there straight through the portal.

Great video. A shield might be a good idea. You can make arrows from the gravel in the nether and chickens can't be too hard to find. Holding warped fungus doesn't work, I thought it did too, but the Minecraft wiki says otherwise

For diamond armor you can trade with a villager. At their max trade they should offer two pieces I believe. Disenchant and then you can reenchant/add enchantments

Just a quick heads up, you really don’t need Eyes of Ender to find the End Portals. You just need to get a horse and ride around for a bit. Also a good way to secure a few saddles.

2:22 Ugh, still inefficient. You want one where you *mine 3 or 4 cobblestone blocks* in a row (along with a haste beacon.)
the easist way i've ever found to get ahold of diamond gear and tools, was to get the three metalworking villagers up to master level.
I've started making it a habit, as soon as I have an iron farm, to get 6 villagers and set up a ironworks for them. 2 of each profession: weaponsmith, toolsmith and armorer. it takes a bit of effort to get them past the apprentice level, but that's where trading with farmers comes in.
once you get them to journeyman level, they will almost always start trading iron bars for emeralds. If you have the iron farm, you can very quickly them get them all leveled up to master level (and amass a fair fortune to boot; which is good cuz the armor can be pricey)
One you have them to Master level, they will sell you not only diamond armor tools, they'll have enchantments on them as well. With two of each, i've never been unable to get full sets of diamond gear, usually with some workable enchantments. May not be exactly what you want, but they'll do until you can get the librarian trading hall online to get all the enchanting you need.
The only real problem i've found is i tend to run short of redstone...but if you get the clerics leveled up, you can buy redstone from them. (and since you always tend to have zombie flesh around, leveling them up doesn't take too long)

Unfortunately the warp fungus repelling feature only works against the hoglins when the item is placed on the ground. Subsequently the fungus does not work if it is placed in a flower pot though. Holding it in your main hand or off hand does not work either. Must be placed on to a block.

I think you should work on finding the blaze spawner. If you can, you can craft cures for zombie villagers and get good discounts for trading. I had a armor trading villager that ended up trading me diamond armor for 1 emerald.

Hey I got a more efficient cobble gen design, first pick a center block then dig two blocks away in all directions then build two temp blocks on that middle block the make a 9x9 square on the center of the pillar now put a block in the corners then place water in the center of the 9x9 platform then get rid of the temp blocks and place lava on the block the temp blocks occupied
You get 16 blocks of cobble

Straight up I make a new world using the seed of my world and use the find command to find a nether fortress. Then I dig into the ceiling and make a path to it. Too many times I’ve wandered for hours looking and it was hiding fairly close to my start point.
Maybe someday the Super Flat World will as cool as the Survival one.

Hey Wattles, please use a stone generator! With one of those you can afk mine cobble. I would explain how it works, but English isnt my first language, so it would take forever. It involves waterlogged stairs and lava on top. Gives cobblestone without silk touch.

piglins wont attack you for mining gold out in the nether at large. they attack you for mining gold, gilded blackstone, and stealing from their chests in bastions.

You should make a stone generator, not a cobblestone generator. Stone mines faster than cobblestone and still gives cobblestone if you move with a normal pick
