- I gave in and made an Ikea Greenhouse Cabinet. Just a quick overview of what I did to it and what I used. Also, I sold a bunch of plants to get a masterpiece of a dream plant, the most expensive pothos ever. As always, include a bit on mental health and a quick tour of the current plant corner.

this mental health topic / conversation is totally interesting to me. My education background is in counseling, but the traditional counselor role didn't seem to fit me... I love how you're able to mix the plant content with the mental health content.
I was just working on some mental health worksheets / journals today to put out into the world, and I loved how this gave me confidence that these topics can be mixed with hobbies and creative parts of my personality :)
As a life long plant person, I am happy to see so many fish people moving into planted tanks/paludariums/tropical houseplants! etc! Orchids next!

I have houseplants, but nothing like your collection of super plants. I got psyched last week when I found a nice size Manjula pothos/Epipremnum oureum for 5 bucks. They had 2, yep, both of them live here now. They are gorgeous with beautifully varigated leaves from dark green, light green, yellow, and white.

so thrilled to find your channel. when you said 3.57 per gallon at costco i thought, he's from here. only been there once 18 years ago, but when you went to ikea, i thought that's renton, when you went to buy plants, i said out loud, "he's local," as you went over the fremont bridge! I just bought a my first houseplant, a big fiddleleaf fig that i want to propagate to multiple fiddleleaf figs. I restore properties that are going on the market so I have lots of outdoor material, but accept for a few sedums, the fig is my first houseplant. Cheers

I understand how the Dutch went crazy over tulip, but these days with tissue culture and all, I can’t see how some of these prices are justified. I guess everything’s worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I saw a medium sized pot of Monstera deliciosa, just the garden variety, for $300! These used to be in every grandma’s house back in the seventies!

All the plants I have are tropical. You’re gonna need a higher humidity than most households keep it at. So having the humidifiers running will keep it high and at a comfortable parameter for the plants.

Question... how do your plants face inward, away from the window and not grow backwards or toward the natural light? Or did you turn them all around for this video? I know you have grow lights but even then they are directly above and not on the other side like pointing from in the room. thanks!
I rotate plants once a week but some are just like that. Most of my light comes from above. I live in Seattle so much natural light from these windows in the winter or fall. I rely on grow lights for sure.
KEH is a killer! My girlfriend and I end up going like every weekend just to look and we're always surprised at what they have

Awesome! So many exotic philodendrons! What kind of frogs are those? I have African dwarf frogs in one of my aquariums. Just love them they are so entertaining! Kimmy, Jimmy, Kermit, Waldo and the Rodeo King. Somehow I missed the expensive pothos. My only pothos are the “garden variety” golden pothos haha. I have 5 now, and I think it’s time to trade up to some pearls and jade or something a little more variegated. What do you recommend? Want an easy growing, low light variety with some personality. These ones I’ve had over 30 years and all came from the same gift planter I got from a friend, so will keep a couple for sure.
