I'm not that into plants but I love how joyfully you speak about them. It makes me happy.
There are some absolutely gorgeous variegated African violets… but if you want absolutely stunning foliage, I’m in love with Episcia (flame violets) which are also gesnariads. They are somewhat delicate, but respond so amazingly to the right light and care.
I have enormous plant envy, but it's ok. I'm living my plant dreams vicariously through you. You are putting off such massive positive energy these days. Not just with your love of plants, but your life philosophies you so generously share.

I started watching cause of all the fun plants. Then you mentioned serpa designs and I’m like, I love that dude. Then you said Aquarium co-op and I died. I love that channel, too. I’ve bred bettas for 20+ years and just recently started getting into plants. I just placed my first online plant order this week! I’m so excited to be getting: ficus ruby, peperomia marbled, ficus eldorado, marble queen pothos and a monstera adansonii! To say I’m excited is an understatement!

Love your videos and your choices of music 🎵! I’ve seen the Foo Fighters a few times and most recent was in Vancouver BC just before the pandemic 😷, when I woke up and heard about the loss of Taylor I was so sad 😭 and had to talk myself out of staying in bed all day and thinking about how he passed and how the other band members must be feeling. Ugh so sad. I’ve been learning to give myself at least 5 minutes to cry and be sad then brush myself off and think of things I’m grateful for and move on to productive things that make me happy.

Yeah, my "work channel" has only been around for about a year... my personal has been following y'all for quite a bit longer.
We were supposed to be back East in March... of 2020.
Maybe we'll be stable enough to travel later this year or next spring?

Lol, _Streptocarpus_ aren’t exactly "perennials", at least in my experience. If they’re cared-for and happy, they never die! Haha. Well, they can be evergreen for decades, theoretically. Plus the leaves propagate easily too.
They’re one of those “legendary” plants. You know, like there are those grandmas or aunties who have certain plants at their homes, that are 50+ years old. Just sort of “expected” species, usually they’re a combination of African violets, spider plants, peace lilies, pothos & _Schlumbergera_ (Xmas cacti). Lol. I love _Streptocarpus_ as a genus, though, so many great plants. And hardy. I even watered an African violet once with clear tequila, by accident, thinking it was water… nope! My friend had never finished their shot the previous night! 🙄 So the next morning, I was hung over, and watered it cause this cup of “water” was sitting there. And then I smelled liquor. But the violet was absolutely FINE! 😂
I was watching this video on my tv in the living room… husband says.. umm why are we watching plants on tv??? Then like a champ, you mentioned the Lakers not even 2 minutes later. Husband says..”that’s my boy! We can watch him anytime”. 🤦🏻♀️🤣 Thanks Jimmy!!

I knew you were my kind of people and then you went and put Jenna in your video and now I know you’re my planty soul mate 😍😂 also, I have all of my plants in leca and I use the easy green fert for ALL of my house plants in a 1 pump per liter dilution. My plants grow like crazy!

Me too, it just makes sense to me and saves me a ton of time. Wednesdays I do aquarium maintence, trimming, water changing and when I'm done I add a squirt of easy green to a gal of water and go water my plants. They are absolutely thriving. Once a month on the 1st of each month I add a small squirt of Easy Iron with the easy green and I swear my plants wave at me, lol. At any rate, they are very happy plants on Wednesdays, and on the 1st of the month, lol.
@@shesellsfish have you tried watering your houseplants with the aquarium water, and adding a squirt of Easy Green to what you drained from the aquarium?
Especially in the spring!

Jimmy since you inspired me to start growing tropicals, I joined a local Facebook Group . It's funny how perspectives can be so different.
I told the group about how we as Fish Keepers, use our filters to grow plants. Now I know there are a few Aquarists in the group, yet it is something not shared. So I had to tell them it wasn't my idea, that we use plants to suck nitrates out of the water and root them. Something common to us, so uncommon to them. It was a good sharing of info.

Hi,Jimmy received my onxy banded mushroom & its absolutely beautiful. I was so impressed how well LovePeace&Happiness wrapped it for protection. Thank U kind soul for offering to ship it to me. Now I'm getting ready to order the Pink Jasmine u highlighted. I only purchase Jasmine scent candles for our home so seeing that plant made me smile. Thank U for highlighting things that ironically been of my interest. ( a little for everyone) & ironically I have a shorter version of the glass on wood terrarium u presented to ur friend for his birthday. Ours sit on our livrm. table which is where I sat the beautiful mushroom next to it. I have nothing in it at the moment..but what plants do u suggest ( besides succulents) that will grow well in a open top? Thank U again
