Combining Stealh hull shape tech and Hypersonic speeds is physically impossible: At those speeds the Hull aerodymics formula is focused on speed and not stealth and get so Hot it is a bright star in the sky on radars....no paintings, hull shape or materials will help you with that. And for the engine you need a ramjet engine who combine a turboreactor and a statoreactor. That is extremely difficult to do. Nobody succeded to do that for the moment. Maybe the plane exist, but with different specs and absolutely NOT stealth and hypersonic at the same time. Impossible with the classic stealth tech. Looks more US propaganda to me than a real thing.
@@AirborneTitans Can be a real project. But the specifications announced are contradictory and far above what is aviable today. Having a project in developpement and having a real flying thing are two big different things. All Countries who are at the top of Hypersonic developpement are working on missiles (US, Russia, China, France). Not a plane. The SR-71 program stopped because it was extremely expansive for limited efficiency when a sattellite does a better job at 10 times less the price and outside ennemy territory (diplomatic problems etc...). The only use of a plane like this for me is to make a strategic bomber, and aiming for making a spacefighter after that. Understand me well: Me to I find it very cool on paper...but knowing a thing or two about aeronautics, I would be really carefull with such extraordinairy annoucements. And the US are really good at such kind of statements.

The U.S. Air Force has confirmed that the SR-72 is a real project and is currently in development.
