When my dad came to Germany to marry my mum, the language class costed 5000 mark. My parents couldn’t afford that. My dad worked 2 jobs with only 4h sleep between while my mum was working her ass off in a small office. They couldn’t afford a language class. My dad had to study it by himself what takes so much longer than a class.

Well, that's relative... because I'm Spanish and here not everyone knows how to speak English you know, and in France either..

absolute b.s if you are having issues with learning English. just focus on learning what everyone speaks.
@@houseofaction You've clearly never learned another language before, because "just learning what everyone speaks" is the hardest part, and spoken English is an especially fluid and constantly changing language.
ramywiles go off fam! As a native English speaker, I know how stupid this language is with all its exceptions and horrible grammars and spellings. Learning how everyone else speaks is the hardest part for me when it comes to learning Spanish. They speak so fast and don’t always use correct grammar, so that makes everything hard. Americans DO speak English. What’s your point?
USA has no official language. People learn and be proud of being multilingual. I'm learning French, to go with my Spanish and English background.
ME TOO!
To be the technical one...the official language is English, but there is no national language. Official government/business work is conducted in English but everyone is completely free and encouraged to speak another one...or three!
On a social and cultural level its english. Speaking other langauges is 100% ok but encouraging people to speak whatever language they want regardless of English is absurd.
There’s no National Language, but 31 States have put it under their state laws that English is the state language.
@@legallimit1225 Correct. Some people dont know that. BUT that doesnt mean people HAVE to speak English... documents and government related things however will be conducted in English.

Barbara Debel AMERICA is short for United States of “AMERICA “. And as far as your continent theory, it’s 2 continents (North America (which includes Central America) and South America. AMERICA(USA) is an English speaking country. Sorry you are very ignorant in geography.
Barbara Debel I know the history pretty well. The Western Hemisphere is made up of TWO continents, North America and South America. I also know that America comes from America Vespucci. But that’s besides the point. And for your info. The United States does have a name. Official name: United States of AMERICA. Hence AMERICA is short for United States of AMERICA. So therefore, the people of the USA nationality is AMERICAN. (Like ir or not). That’s the problem with you people from Latin America (not all). You have such a big complejo that people in the USA are Americans. And America in this case is referred to USA. Go to Europe, Africa or anywhere in the world, when they refer to AMERICA or AMERICANS, they are referring to the USA, not the North and South American continents. Ann you have to nerve to critize and put down the American educational system? If that’s bad, I can really imagine the educational system in the third world country you come from. Smh......
Barbara Debel So you really think they aren’t two separate continents. Lmao!!!!! So in the third world educational system they teach that there’s only five continents instead of seven? Don’t make me laugh. If anything I pity your ignorance.
Here educate yourself:
www.worldometers.info/geography/7-continents/
Barbara Debel Actually you should be the one to educate yourself and don’t listen to the falsified garbage taught by the third world backward educational system where you come from.
Barbara Debel You can bring out Euroasia all you want, but still are considered two separate continents as well. And you can criticize the Americans all you want. Because deep down you envy them. You need to stop, that’s very unhealthy for you.
My parents have heavy accents and it makes me so mad when people yell at them to speak English. It is so rude and condescending to say that to an immigrant and it makes me feel guilty because they only moved to America so that I could have a better childhood. Just yesterday I had to cuss a man out at the farmers market for being so rude to my parents who were just speaking quietly in mandarin. I was taught three languages aside from English so I always have some fun with people who tell my mom to "speak English". It confuses the hell out of them when you keep switching the languages up. They always assume that this 14-year-old child isn't fluent just because her parents aren't. Honey, I can tell you to mind your own business any day in any of the four languages I speak.
I hate these type of people too. They’re a disgrace. I’d much rather live in China than the US or UK. You should definitely go overseas. The quality of life is infinitely better especially for Western men.
I’ll never understand the entitlement. Let people be! No one is bothering you due speaking their native language.
When they speak in a foreign language and they are talking shit about you, I call them out and Curse them in their own language. The shock in their face is the best.

I don't mind hearing people speak another language. But if they want to talk to me, they will need to speak English or I won't be able to understand them or help them. They get upset at me for not speaking their language. (mostly Spanish speaking people) I have been told by them that I need to learn Spanish. NO I DON'T!!! Like most say, I can speak whatever language I want. It works both ways. If you do not have to learn English, I do not have to learn Spanish. And if you do not learn to speak the custom language in America, you will get poor service. It is not my responsibility to learn a foreign language.
America does not have an official language so I use the one one the constitution was written in.
*Speak Spanish all you want, but don't expect me to understand. I will speak English only ALL I WANT.* Equality work both ways.

At one point the table switched from communicating in English to signing (non of them were hearing impaired), and I just kinda sat there until one of them noticed that I was left out, and they told the table that they were being rude. I think in private conversations speak and say whatever the hell you want. The problem is that many people come to the US to live permanently (mostly Spanish speakers) and don't bother to learn basic English. It puts a strain on basic interactions, like customer service, legal service, and medical assistance. You don't have to speak English in every conversation, you also aren't expected to speak it perfectly, but if you plan on living in the US, don't be surprised that people expect you to learn the primary language.
