Isn’t that a shame!!! The City is right on fining people for Their yards but don’t do anything about what the City owns 🤦♀️😡 Good on You for helping this Lady 🤩
I was just about to say the exact same thing. You see plenty of 'code violation' notices in these type videos for home owners that are quite possibly struggling to get some help, and the 'enforcers' do diddly squat to look after their own patch. Ludicrous.😠😠
Not knowing this person’s economic or health history, they should not have let the yard get into such a state. What grows in your side should be taken care of by you.
Personal opinion, the City should have taken care of their overgrown stuff and paid for her fence to be stabilized due to their negligence. Great work as always Brian! 👏 👏👏👏
That was a lot more than just the city property. I only seen 1 post for her fence. Her yard was also a mess because of lack of care. You did a good job getting it back into shape.
Well everything went well Saturday with wife's family final vist and removed her belongings.. I sat here quietly and not a word was spoken to me! I am praying for them and for myself right now. It's got to get better soon!!❤
Well that’s tough. Sounds like you handled it the right way even though I’m sure that was really difficult. Hopefully it will get better soon! We’ll continue to pray ❤️
Bryan is everybody’s hero. He has a really big heart and will never let you down. The city is ignoring their property. Brian should be charging them. What a horrid mess. I sure would demand payment, that’s for sure.
Tying up her fence back up where the city had let their property go, should make them ashamed. Did anyone let them know. Thanks Brian for helping this lady.
TNLC(Brian), hopefully the City officials-where this happened-are shamed into taking action to correct THEIR poor behavior with this situation. The yard now looks fantastic! The fence looks proper again. Nice work Brian. Doug❤️👍😁
I would have thought the over grown trees were the least of her problems..the yard was full of trash, its disgraceful the way people treat their property. You did a great job cleaning it up, well done
Great job cleaning up that person's garbage for them, Brian. It's unfortunate that so many people simply fail to understand their responsibility as a property owner. Most of what you cleared was the property owners responsibility, not the cities. People mistakenly believe that simply because the tree is on one side of the fence, everything that comes from that tree is the responsibility of the landowner. That's not true. Basic tips: If the weeds, the vines, the sapling trees, shrubs, etc. are growing up out of the ground on "Your" side of the property line, It's 100% your responsibility. If leaves, garbage, etc. blow onto your side of the property line, It's your responsibility to clean it up. The "Line" of responsibility is clearly drawn. It's called the "Property Line". If a tree or a branch grows or pushes from their side of the line and damages "your" fence, They are responsible. If you allow a sapling to grow into a tree on your side of the line and it damages your fence, It's your responsibility. The only thing in this video that would have been the city's responsibility was where the fence was pushed in and "Maybe" where a clump of shrubs grew from right on the line (not likely, that's a joint liability), and that is going to be a low priority as their crews are busy cutting city grass and keeping tree branches from falling into traffic, etc. I know some folks will disagree, but the taxes we pay are not enough to create a 100% clean-up everything service and fix it all department. There is a "common" sense of owner responsibility. Don't wait till the sapling grows into a tree; simply cut it down as soon as it pokes up out of the ground. Leaves? Garbage? Pick it up when you cut the grass or give the kids or grandkids a chore or two.
Definitely thoughtful feedback. I really appreciate it and you’re right it’s always a good idea for any homeowner to be mindful about what is going on in their property! Hopefully the city will clean up their side of the fence and she can maintain the property easier from now on.
It's a good idea to have the surveyor's office come out and mark the property line too, even if there's a small fee. Often, builders and contractors will build right inside your property line. Or shrubs, trees, bushes, etc. Will be planted right inside the property line. Then, years or decades later, it looks like it's not your shrubs or trees, but actually it is, or it's growing on the other side of the fence, but there was just a new fence built, or the greenery has grown really large over time.
Can’t tell you how much I appreciate the kindness and support Carolyn doing houses like this one are truly rewarding! And I couldn’t do this work without you! Blessings to you 😊😊
Hi Brian. I'm really glad to see you! The lady is certainly very happy how you helped her and it was a lot. Just in awe of how you cut everything and how beautifully you made the sidewalk and the driveway to the house. I always look forward to your videos. Good luck to you and your whole family. Nicely done Brian! A lot of trash mixed in with the leaves and you cleaned it all up. I wouldn't have expected anything less because you always go above and beyond
Brian, you went way over and above on this cleanup. I honestly never oriented whether that was the alley or her yard. But, as always, you cleaned up probably better than ever and helped her keep her dog in the yard. You’re just the best guy!❤❤❤
Pretty sad that the city didn't bother to take the initiative to clean up their own mess. They do expect homeowners to keep their properties clean and tidy though. That was a nice thing you did Brian, helping this lady out, and your community. Amazing job you done. Phoenix still in heat mode, 114'F today, thunderstorms are sporadic to say the least. 👍👍👍👍👍😉🇺🇸
What a mess and kudos to you; Brian; for helping this lady out. You always do a great job and I really enjoy your videos. Blessings to you and your family.
Great job, Brian. It seems that the homeowner couldn't take care of her side of the property but blamed that part on the city. This clean-up is what you do best.
Great job, as always. The fence was new so the owner of this property might have been afraid that it could be affected by the overgrown trees and bushes. I would also recommend her to get the roots out, otherwise she will have similar issues after six months again . Just my 2 cents. Keep it up, Brian, hot and humid weather expected over here for this weekend ! Greets from GER, U.

Sue Wolfe- Fantastic job on this one, Brian! That was a great idea using the cable ties to hold up the fencing! Too bad no one is " responsible " for the empty lot, though. You did a wonderful job getting this property looking nice again instead of overgrown and overtaken. Looking forward to your next one! Have a great day! 👏👍💪😎❤️
Fantastic job. Didn't know you were going to do as much as you did. That broken down fence area by the garage was full of so much trash you kept on unearthing more and more to where I wondered if it was going to end. They should be very thankful for all you did.
Great job! and like everyone else is saying...city is always quick to issue violations to home owners but sure don't take care of their properties. I saw a video where the elderly lady got a violation for her yard but the empty lot next to her owned by the city, was 10x worse than hers. These cities should be ashamed.
Wow,a lot of work.turned out really nice.your are right, the city should get warning.the home owner should be able to sue the city for damage to her fence.
Great job Brian...as always!!!😊 Im fortunate to live in a town and not city...we have Code Enforcement. But after watching this Im proud to say our township would never look like this property.
