I live in New Zealand and we have very few Zelkova bonsai here. I collected some seedlings from a mother tree in the park and now I want many more thanks to your inspiration. I have tried and failed to get cuttings to grow from the mother tree. I can get other species to grow but struggle with zelkova cuttings. Do they need to be from young plants in order to root effectively?

知識を共有していただきありがとうございます。私の家の近くにケヤキの木があるので、その木から苗木をいくつか摘みに行きました。そして、あなたがビデオで説明したことが、恵みのようにやって来ました。これで、ケヤキの苗木を良い盆栽に育てる方法がわかりました。
私もQさんの動画と昼間さんの欅作りで盆栽を始めた初心者のひとりです。盆栽を身近に感じるきっかけを作って頂きありがとうございます。実生から自分で作る欅も試したいと思いました。
今回も勉強になりました。駆け出しですが…ケヤキ愛好家として本当にありがたいです！
実生から一本一本素材へ仕立てる作業は大変で、我々は感謝しながら購入しなければなりませんね。手間や時間を考慮すると、こんなに安くて良いのだろうか…と、いうお値段ですし。

ケヤキの種は「隔年」だそうです。２０２３年は不作の年のようです。そんな訳で、２０２４年秋は豊作の年になりそうです。
